Captured Hamas Combat Manual Explains Benefits of Using Human Shields

Attention Geraldo, Joe Scarboro, CNN, PMSNBC, NYTs, WaPo, LA Times, etc…

IDF Forces have made a discovery that proves that the practice of launching bombs into Israel from densely populated areas is a PR tactic employed to provoke a response from the IDF that results in a maximum number of civilian casualties.  It’s not a result (sorry Hillary Clinton) of  Gaza being such a small, densely populated territory, they just can’t help it.

Actually they can help it.

IDF forces in the Gaza Strip found a Hamas manual on “Urban Warfare,” which belonged to the Shuja’iya Brigade of Hamas’ military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades. The manual explains how the civilian population can be used against IDF forces and reveals that Hamas knows the IDF is committed to minimizing harm to civilians.

Throughout Operation Protective Edge, Hamas has continuously used the civilian population of Gaza as human shields. The discovery of a Hamas “urban warfare” manual by IDF forces reveals that Hamas’ callous use of the Gazan population was intentional and preplanned.

This Hamas urban warfare manual exposes two truths: (1) The terror group knows full well that the IDF will do what it can to limit civilian casualties. (2) The terror group exploits these efforts by using civilians as human shields against advancing IDF forces.

In a portion entitled “Limiting the Use of Weapons,” the manual explains that:

The soldiers and commanders (of the IDF) must limit their use of weapons and tactics that lead to the harm and unnecessary loss of people and [destruction of] civilian facilities. It is difficult for them to get the most use out of their firearms, especially of supporting fire [e.g. artillery].

Clearly Hamas knows the IDF will limit its use of weapons in order to avoid harming civilians, including refraining from using larger firepower to support for infantry.

The manual goes on to explain that the “presence of civilians are pockets of resistance” that cause three major problems for advancing troops:

(1) Problems with opening fire
(2) Problems in controlling the civilian population during operations and afterward
(3) Assurance of supplying medical care to civilians who need it

Lastly, the manual discusses the benefits for Hamas when civilian homes are destroyed:

The destruction of civilian homes: This increases the hatred of the citizens towards the attackers [the IDF] and increases their gathering [support] around the city defenders (resistance forces[i.e. Hamas]).

It is clear that Hamas actually desires the destruction of homes and civilian infrastructure, knowing it will increase hatred for the IDF and support their fighters.

Is there a bigger useful idiot for Hamas in the West than “dyed-in-the-wool Zionist”, Geraldo Rivera, who sneered at Fox News co-host Andrea Tantaros on Monday for questioning his position on the Israel/Hamas War, telling her she “should be ashamed” and claiming that “Israel is alone in the world” because of people like her?

Rivera had been blasting Israel for the high number of civilian deaths since the start of its offensive in Gaza, including for a strike on a United Nations facility where people had been sheltering.

“They put these kids in a school, they put weapons deliberately in a school, then Israel strikes and people like you get up and defend a terrorist organization,” Tantaros said on Fox News’ “Outnumbered.”

“What is a ‘person like me’?” Rivera demanded.

“It’s an apologist for a terrorist organization,” Tantaros said.

“You should be ashamed of yourself for saying that to me of all people,” Rivera said. “There’s a Jewish star tattooed on my hand, I am a dyed-in-the-wool Zionist, I would die for Israel, this is appalling.”

Tantaros interjected, “Whose side are we on?”

“Whose side are we on when there are 1,800 dead civilians and women and children are bleeding on camera, and you are not moved by that?” Rivera said.

The back-and-forth went on, with Rivera ultimately declaring, “Israel is alone in the world and attitudes like yours will make it isolated more and more.”

The sad irony, of course,  is that by loudly and balefully broadcasting civilian deaths, blaming Israel, and uncritically accepting Hamas’ casualty numbers, “”people like” Geraldo actually aid and abet Hamas in their brutal tactic of putting their own people in harm’s way to turn the international community against Israel – making them “alone in the world.”

Hamas was democratically elected in 2006, by the way. Is it not likely that the majority of the people of Gaza approve of these tactics?

Look at what Israel has to deal with: Israel Saves Palestinian Child, Mother Still Wants Him To Be Martyr:

“We feel that life is nothing. Life isn’t worth a thing, that’s why we have suicide bombers…”

The mainstream media rarely reports about Palestinians living in Gaza criticizing Hamas and calling for better relations with Israel, but CBN News found a few of them inside the war zone.
Remember that France24 reporter in Gaza who had to duck on live TV because he was so close to a Hamas rocket as it fired?Well, he’s found something else–and it’s something the State Department should watch (but won’t).
Journalists from India’s NDTV say they have captured stunning footage of Hamas preparing and launching a rocket from a site near a Gaza hotel:

Gateway Pundit: BREAKING: Sunday’s Gaza UNRWA School Bombing Was COMPLETELY STAGED

On Sunday the Obama White House criticized Israel for firing on terrorists operating near a United Nations School in Gaza. Ten people were reportedly killed when Israel targeted terrorists on a motorcycle near the school.
The Obama State Department said:

The United States is appalled by today’s disgraceful shelling outside an UNRWA school in Rafah sheltering some 3,000 displaced persons, in which at least ten more Palestinian civilians were tragically killed.

But it was all a hoax.
Hamas staged the entire media spectacle.

Starvation has claimed the lives of 128 people — 18 of them children or babies — in the Palestinian refugee camp since the conflict began. But the Yarmouk Camp is in Syria, where images of atrocities go viral only when misrepresented as coming from Gaza, so the world has paid little attention to their suffering.

“My Twitter and Facebook feeds would have me believe that the only noteworthy military conflict in the world today is that between Israel and Hamas,” wrote Jonathan Messing, a research fellow at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, at “Either many of you care about war only when it involves a Jew holding a gun, or you are woefully unaware of what else is going on in the world.”

“It must be so awkward having to check whether the dead child is from Gaza or Syria before deciding whether to be morally outraged,” tweeted Marc Lynch, director of the Institute for Middle East Studies at George Washington University.

The sequence of events triggered by the kidnapping and murder of three Israeli teenagers reminded Clarice Feldman that “Providence isn’t just a city in Rhode Island.” She wrote at that “had thugs not brutally murdered three young men in Israel, the Israelis would not have stepped up efforts to find those responsible. Had the Israelis not done so, Hamas would not have begun the rocket barrage. Had the rocket barrage not occurred … the Israelis would not have entered Gaza … would not have found the tunnel system … nor learned of the long-planned Hamas effort to send thousands of their troops deep into lightly guarded Israeli communities on the holiest of days, Rosh Hashanah, to murder thousands.”

The elaborate tunnel system was dug in part by child labor, according to a 2012 paper in the Journal of Palestine Studies. Each of the 31 tunnels discovered so far cost about $1 million to build. “At least 160 children have been killed in the tunnels,” the author of the journal article says he was told by Hamas officials. “Much as in Victorian coal mines, they are prized for their nimble bodies.”

  1. The other day Andrea Tantaros went after GerryO on Fox and called him a apologists for hamas, which sent him right into orbit {where he belongs}. Someone needs to check on Andrea for a “expiration date”.

The last person who crossed swords with GerryO {over illegal immigration} summarily had the “guest host and Fox appearances” pulled right from under her. Since then Michele Malkin who use to share “guest host” duties on B’ore’s show with Laura Ingraham all of a sudden disappeared and her appearances really diminished on the network.

Of course he immediately dropped the “40 year war correspondent – Jew – Puerto Rican” deck of cards on her. 40 year war correspondent? Was that when he was getting hit in the Jimmy Durante snaze on television or was it when he was cracking old mob hide aways in Chicago?

Once a POS punk, always a POS punk. . . . only with gray hair and scars {none from a war either}.

  2. Geo – I noted the exchange between Tantaros and Geraldo in my post – did you not read it?

Btw, why does that hack still work in journalism after the Al Capone’s Vault debacle? What a maroon.

  3. ND, I read it in your post. Just reemphasized it to see if she {Andrea} ends up the with same fate as Michele Malkin did after she bludgeoned GerryO. I have long ago given up second guessing Roger Ailes, the man is a genius. But when it comes to GerryO, one must scratch their head and wonder. Just when you think that he has finally been squeezed out of the weekly schedule, up he pops again.

He got into a pissing contest the other night with his idol Alan Dershowitz over the same issue.
