“Straight White Guy Festival” Jest Upsets Diversity Police

“Come help us celebrate our enjoyment of being straight, white, and male,” the flier said. “Beer available.”

When some fake fliers advertising an upcoming “Straight White Guy festival” appeared in an Ohio town, last summer,  some humor-impaired individuals didn’t appreciate the humor or even get that it was a joke.

“This kind of thing implies there’s some kind of struggle going on for being a straight white person in Ohio,” one area resident sniffed.  “Straight white people are doing just fine.”

Hurrumph!

The leader of an organization pushing same-sex marriage whined that “the flyer is not productive.”  Thankfully, the situation provided an opportunity for a “teaching moment.”

Listen up, you knuckle draggers.

Via 10-tv.com:

“I think it detracts from the real problems of Ohio that need to be solved, that are being denied their constitutional rights because of who they are, or who the love. And that’s what we really need to work on and this is just kind of a distraction,” he added.

I’d say that whoever did this bad thing has been properly chastised. Shame on them and their white/straight/male privilege.

If the diversity police ever finds out who did the dastardly deed, they’ll publish his name and address on left-wing message boards so he and his family can be properly harassed. Then, they’ll call his employer and try to get him fired. Nice, tolerant citizens that they are.

A couple of thought criminals were interviewed for the story:

“I think it’s funny. If they want to do this, great, freedom of expression,” said Cheralyn Elkins.

“It doesn’t offend me personally,” added Collin Brubaker. “But I can think of people it would offend.”

I hope those two survived the wrath of the perpetually outraged.

The Federalist: Gay Marriage: No One Expects the Secular Inquisition:

Personally, I have no problem with gay people getting hitched, having weddings, and saying that they are “married.” I don’t have any religious objection, on account of not being religious, nor do I think gay marriages, given their very small numbers, will have any particular impact on the state of marriage as an important social institution. (Which, alas, has all sorts of problems of its own.)

But the test of liberty isn’t what happens to people who agree with the intent of a particular edict. The test is what happens to people who disagree.

That brings us to the reason why gay rights advocates insisted on the government granting same-sex unions the title of “marriage.” The theory behind this was that homosexuals suffer from a lack of social acceptance, and gay marriage would put the government’s imprimatur on their status as social equals—along with the promise that this equality is to be backed by government force.

The theory behind gay marriage, in short, was the theory behind the entire secular left: society and the state are the all-powerful forces on which the life of the individual depends, and the most important political task—indeed, the most important task in life—is getting this irresistible power on your side. Once you gain social and political power, you hold on to it by making your preferred views mandatory, a catechism everyone must affirm, while suppressing all heretical views. In this case, to gain social acceptance of homosexuality, you make the affirmation of gay marriages mandatory while officially suppressing any dissenting religious views.

Hence, the Secular Inquisition, which we should have expected all along.

U.S. Secretary Of State John Kerry!!

WeaselWeek2

Simply Jews : John Kerry, to be liked more by the members of the Dictators’ Club, is ready to go the whole nine yards.

He said the unresolved Israel-Palestinian conflict was fueling recruitment for the Islamic State jihadist group.

“There wasn’t a leader I met with in the region who didn’t raise with me spontaneously the need to try to get peace between Israel and the Palestinians, because it was a cause of recruitment and of street anger and agitation,” Kerry said.

Why should ISIS head-cutters invest in their propaganda, when the leader of the free world, via his proxy, provides them with ready-to-use soundbites ?

Another low in the White House Middle East “peace effort”…

The Noisy Room : My nomination this week goes to John Kerry, more affectionately (not) referred to as Lurch, for claiming that extremism has nothing to do with Islam:

Secretary of State John Kerry on Thursday night rejected any link between Islam and extremism practiced by the likes of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL/Daesh), pointing instead to factors such as poverty among youthful Mideast populations, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict – and climate change.

Addressing a reception at the State Department in honor of the recent Islamic holiday of Eid al-Adha, Kerry told an audience of Muslim community representatives, diplomats and others that the world was facing “a very complex time, and there are many currents that are loose out there that have brought us to this moment.”;

“The extremism that we see, the radical exploitation of religion which is translated into violence, has no basis in any of the real religions,” he said. “There’s nothing Islamic about what ISIL/Daesh stands for, or is doing to people.”

So, religion has nothing to do with religion in Islam. Except it does… it has everything to do with the Qu’ran and Allah’s most devoted worshipers. Instead Kerry blames Israel yet again, the lack of socialist collectivism in the world and non-existent climate change. Forked tongue much?

JoshuaPundit : John Kerry, for his revival of a kinky  variation of Meershimer and Walt’s ‘The Israel Lobby’  fantasy and saying that Islamic State’s success in recruiting is due to Israel’s failure to commit national suicide and bow to all Hamas/Fatah’s demands:

.As I went around and met with people in the course of our discussions about the ISIL coalition, the truth is we – there wasn’t a leader I met with in the region who didn’t raise with me spontaneously the need to try to get peace between Israel and the Palestinians because it was a cause of recruitment and of street anger and agitation that they felt – and I see a lot of heads nodding – they had to respond to. And people need to understand the connection of that. And it has something to do with humiliation and denial and absence of dignity, and Eid celebrates the opposite of all of that.

Said of course,  at a reception honoring  the Muslim holiday of Eid-al-Adha, to a predominantly Muslim audience, most of  whom would undoubtedly giggle and high five one another if every Jew in Israel were to die tomorrow.

For that matter, if Kerry is telling the truth, the majority of the leaders Kerry claims he talked to don’t even recognize Israel’s existence as a state! Even CNN doesn’t do polls that biased. And does he really think that Islamic State, Hamas and Hezbollah  would disarm, disappear and give up their quest for the Caliphate if Israel suddenly disappeared from the equation?

Also, for his unique performance appeasing the Iranians and knuckling under to their continued  demands and transparent stalling to keep the ball rolling on their illegal nuclear weapons program.

Texas Democrat Gubernatorial Candidate Wendy ‘Abortion Barbie’ Davis!!

MizunoWaveRider16_1000x500-620x270

The Independent Sentinel: Wendy Davis for exploiting Greg Abbott’s handicap to attack him in an ad using a sneering narrator sets her apart from the weasels out there.

She ran a wheelchair ad attacking Greg Abbott who is in a wheelchair. Then she gave a press conference about the ad with handicapped people sitting in wheelchairs so she could double down and attack Abbott again.

When she criticized Greg Abbott, she said he “kicked the ladder down”. Now she’s improved her rhetoric and says he “pulled the ladder out.”

She held another presser with her campaign person awkwardly dragging a handicapped man across the floor in a chair.

She’s not only a weasel, she’s an insensitive, offensive weasel.

Nice Deb : Wendy Davis for the second week in a row, even as her mortifying campaign for governor of Texas implodes.

No one expected her to top last week’s spectacularly bad wheelchair ad, but a race-baiting tweet slamming her opponent TX Atty General Greg Abbott for not answering a question about mixed marriages, managed to embarrass and offend, once again.

She received massive and much deserved blow-back given that Abbott himself is in a mixed marriage, having married a Hispanic woman. The question itself was apropos of nothing as bans on such marriages have been found by the Supreme Court to be unconstitutional.

The idea that Greg Abbott would support a marriage ban on mixed marriages, (including his own) struck most people as ludicrous.

Once again, Wendy went out on a limb like a very clumsy and silly weasel, and ended up falling on her face.

Rhymes With Right:Wendy Davis — First the ad attacking Greg Abbott’s wheelchair, now claims that Abbott (who is married to a Latina) is against interracial marriage. Pretty weaselly if you ask me.

America’s Ebola Czar And Designated Spin Artist Ron Klain!!

Virginia Right! :Clearly Obama believes he has a messaging problem, not an Ebola problem. Klain will hammer Democrats who get out of line with Obama’s Ebola message and he will be in charge of lying to the press and the public to pretend Obama’s response is top of the line.

Heaven help us if this disease gets out of control. Nobody in our government is serious about this.

Well, there it is! Are these worthy weasels or what? Check back Thursday to see which Weasel walks off with the statuette of shame!
