I’ve got to clear some tabs, people.
The radical Anonymous and Occupy groups are working in concert to prepare protesters for battle.
Not only are the radical groups calling for supporters to pour into the St. Louis region, they’re instructing them on what to bring, make, and do. It sure seems they are working to turn the grand jury announcement into the opening salvo of a violent revolution.
Anonymous/Occupy the Mob
It’s going down right now, protesters flying in, Riding train in, & driving to #Ferguson. Protest on the ground and the internet, #Ferguson
This is an outrage: NYTs: Law Lets I.R.S. Seize Accounts on Suspicion, No Crime Required:
ARNOLDS PARK, Iowa — For almost 40 years, Carole Hinders has dished out Mexican specialties at her modest cash-only restaurant. For just as long, she deposited the earnings at a small bank branch a block away — until last year, when two tax agents knocked on her door and informed her that they had seized her checking account, almost $33,000.
The Internal Revenue Service agents did not accuse Ms. Hinders of money laundering or cheating on her taxes — in fact, she has not been charged with any crime. Instead, the money was seized solely because she had deposited less than $10,000 at a time, which they viewed as an attempt to avoid triggering a required government report.
“How can this happen?” Ms. Hinders said in a recent interview. “Who takes your money before they prove that you’ve done anything wrong with it?”
The federal government does.
Using a law designed to catch drug traffickers, racketeers and terrorists by tracking their cash, the government has gone after run-of-the-mill business owners and wage earners without so much as an allegation that they have committed serious crimes. The government can take the money without ever filing a criminal complaint, and the owners are left to prove they are innocent. Many give up.
Abolish the IRS.
With so much focus on halting the spread of Ebola in the U.S., investigative reporter Sharyl Attkisson has questions for the CDC about what’s being done to guard against somebody easily obtaining the virus and spreading it intentionally…
Just One Minute: Ebola And Project Bioshield:
Democrats looking to blame Republicans for the lack of an Ebola vaccine may owe Dick Cheney an apology.
It turns out that as vice president, Cheney was the driving force behind more funding for the National Institutes of Health that helped lead to the development of Ebola vaccines being tested today.
On Saturday, President Obama stated that “Ebola is actually a difficult disease to catch. It’s not transmitted through the air like the flu.”
Dr. Tom Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), also said that “this is not like flu. It’s not like measles, not like the common cold. It’s not as spreadable, it’s not as infectious as those conditions.”
But after reviewing the scientific literature, Dr. Lisa Brosseau and Dr.Rachael Jones found little evidence that the deadly hemorrhagic fever can only be caught through direct contact with the bodily fluids of an infected person.
The CDC and the World Health Organization “speak very loudly and say very strongly it isn’t airborne, but they don’t offer a lot of support for that. And I will tell you when I look for the data, there is not a lot of data to support their contention that it isn’t an aerosol-transmissible disease,” said Brousseau, who explained the difference between “aerosol transmission” and “airborne transmission”.
“We believe there is scientific and epidemiologic evidence that Ebola virus has the potential to be transmitted via infectious aerosol particles both near and at a distance from infected patients, which means that healthcare workers should be wearing respirators, not facemasks,” Brousseau and Jones stated in a guest commentary published in September by the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP).
ABC News reported:
A 5-year-old boy who returned home from Guinea Saturday is being tested for Ebola at New York City’s Bellevue Hospital, officials said today. Preliminary results will be available within the next 12 hours.
The boy was transported to Bellevue Hospital Sunday night because of his travel history and initial reports that he had a fever, but he actually had no symptoms when he first arrived at the hospital, officials said.
As the sun rose over my dusty village on Aug. 3, relatives called with terrifying news: Jihadists from the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) were coming for us. I’d expected just another day full of household tasks in Tel Uzer, a quiet spot on the western Nineveh plains of Iraq, where I lived with my family. Instead, we scrambled out of town on foot, taking only our clothes and some valuables.
After an hour of walking north, we stopped to drink from a well in the heart of the desert. Our plan was to take refuge on Mount Sinjar, along with thousands of other Yazidis like us who were fleeing there, because we had heard a lot of stories about Islamic State brutality and what they had done to non-Muslims. They’d been converting religious minorities or simply killing them. But suddenly several vehicles drew up and we found ourselves surrounded by militants wearing Islamic State uniforms. Several people screamed in horror; we were scared for our lives. I’ve never felt so helpless in my 14 years. They had blocked our path to safety, and there was nothing we could do.
The militants divided us by gender and age: One for young and capable men, another for girls and young women, and a third for older men and women. The jihadists stole cash and jewelry from this last group, and left them alone at the oasis. Then they placed the girls and women in trucks. As they drove us away, we heard gunshots. Later we learned that they were killing the young men, including my 19-year old brother, who had married just six months ago.
Judicial Watch announced today that it received from the Obama Department of Justice (DOJ) a “Vaughnindex” detailing records about the Operation Fast and Furious scandal. The index was forced out of the Obama administration thanks to JW’s June 2012 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request and subsequentSeptember 2012 FOIA lawsuit (Judicial Watch v. Department of Justice (No. 1:12-cv-01510)). A federal court had ordered the production over the objections of the Obama Justice Department.
The document details the Attorney General Holder’s personal involvement in managing the Justice Department’s strategy on media and Congressional investigations into the Fast and Furious scandal. Notably, the document discloses that emails between Attorney General Holder and his wife Sharon Malone – as well as his mother – are being withheld under an extraordinary claim of executive privilege as well as a dubious claim of deliberative process privilege under the Freedom of Information Act. The “First Lady of the Justice Department” is a physician and not a government employee.
This is the first time that the Obama administration has provided a detailed listing of all records being withheld from Congress and the American people about the deadly Fast and Furious gun running scandal. The 1307-page “draft” Vaughn index was emailed to Judicial Watch at 8:34 p.m. last night, a few hours before a federal court-ordered deadline. In its cover letter, the Department of Justice asserts that all of the responsive records described in the index are “subject to the assertion of executive privilege.”
President Obama’s trusted senior advisor, Valerie Jarrett, was a key player in the effort to cover up that Attorney General Eric Holder lied to Congress about the Fast and Furious scandal, according to public records obtained by Judicial Watch.
The information is part of a Department of Justice (DOJ) “Vaughn index” detailing records about the gun-running operation known as Fast and Furious. JW had to sue the agency for the records after the Obama administration failed to provide them under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). A federal court ordered the DOJ to provide the records over the agency’s objections. Yesterday JW reported on the broad information in the records, including that Obama asserted executive privilege for Holder’s wife as part of the administration’s efforts to cover up the scandal.
John Sexton, The Conversation: Sharyl Attkisson’s Computer was Bugged Using Government Software
Reporter Sharyl Attkisson’s computer was hacked using software that is proprietary to U.S. government agencies. The computer analyst who discovered evidence of the hacking described it as, “Worse than anything Nixon ever did.”
Today the New York Post reports details of the hacking revealed in Attkisson’s forthcoming book, Stonewalled. According to the Post, the hacker found their way in via an email in February 2012 using proprietary spyware that is only available to U.S. government agencies, such as the NSA and CIA. The hacker later refreshed their connection on two occasions.
