Dumbest Political Ad Of The Year Is An Insult To Women (Video)

The National Abortion Rights Action League can take a bow.

Their radio ad predicting a dystopian condomless future in which Science-Denier Cory Gardner (who is running for the Senate in CO against Mark “Uterus” Udall) has outlawed contraceptives, easily earns the award for dumbest political ad of the season.  It’s dumber even than anything Wendy Davis has put out there (including the loathsome wheelchair ad) and that’s saying something.

The ad seeks to deceive low info young women with “war on womeny” hysteria – rather than educate them with the truth. It is a massive insult to their intelligence.

The ad begins with some dude “mansplaining” to his ignorant girlfriend  “a near future in which Cory Gardner has banned birth control leading, somehow, to a complete unavailability of condoms and also college tuition.”

As John Sexton notes at Breitbart.com, “Cory Gardner has been running since June on a platform to make birth control pills available over-the-counter, i.e. without a prescription. I’m not sure how making something available more easily is tantamount to banning it.”

But that’s only one of  of the ad’s many problems with truth, logic, style, etc. Hit the link for Sexton’s humorous take on the rest.

Women in Colorado should be offended. And Mark Udall should be embarrassed that such a ridonkulous ad was put out there supporting him.

State Dept. Memo Shows Obama Admin. Considering Plan To Transfer Ebola Patients to US (Video)

FOX News obtained a State Department memo that confirms what Judicial Watch originally reported on October 17 – that the Obama administration is considering a plan to transfer infected Ebola patients to the US. for treatment.

It’s not clear who would bear the  costs of transporting and treating the non-citizen Ebola patients but Judicial Watch reported that “the plans include special waivers of laws and regulations that ban the admission of non-citizens with a communicable disease as dangerous as Ebola.”

Apparently, none of this is any of the American people’s business because when White House Spokesperson Josh Earnest was asked about the memo, he would not confirm nor deny the document exists. While the Obama administration publicly denies claims that they are exploring plans to bring non-U.S. citizens infected with Ebola to the United States for treatment, apparently they’re telling Congress something entirely different.

According to Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, members of the media and his office “have received confidential communications saying that those plans are being developed.”

Initially, the potentially illegal plans were being kept secret from Congress, but Goodlatte sent a letter of inquiry to the White House, last week.

Via Gateway Pundit,  FOX News reported

“Members of the media, my office have received confidential communications saying that those plans are being developed,” Goodlatte said Monday night.

“This is simply a matter of common sense that if you are concerned about this problem spreading — and this is a deadly disease that we’re even concerned about the great health care workers when they come back not spreading it — we certainly shouldn’t be bringing in the patients.”

But a State Department official said Tuesday that they’re only talking about letting other countries use U.S. planes to transport Ebola patients to their own home countries.

Weasel Of The Week Nominees!!

weasel of the week

Hello and welcome to the Watcher’s Council’s ‘Weasel Of The Week’ nominations, where we award the famed golden plastic Weasel to a public figure who particularly deserves to be slimed and mocked for his or her dastardly deeds during the week. Every Tuesday morning, tune in for the Weasel of the Week nominations and check back Thursday to see which Weasel gets the votes and walks off with the statuette of shame!

weasel Smarty_2

Here are this weeks’ nominees…

Former Secretary of State, Senator And First Lady Hillary “Benghazi Babe’ Clinton!!

hillary_facelift0_answer_1_xlarge

The Independent Sentinel: Hillary Clinton, for being a political hack.

This week she said:

“Don’t let anybody tell you it’s corporations and businesses create jobs,” Clinton said.

“You know that old theory, ‘trickle-down economics,’” she continued. “That has been tried, that has failed. It has failed rather spectacularly.”

“You know, one of the things my husband says when people say ‘Well, what did you bring to Washington,’ he said, ‘Well, I brought arithmetic,’” Clinton said, which elicited loud laughs from the crowd.

Of course business creates jobs. She’s playing to the hate the rich crowd. This is a woman who makes $2,777 per minute per speech.

Obama Labor Secretary Thomas ‘Puto’ Perez!!

perez_thomas_ap

The Noisy Room: Labor Secretary Thomas Perez who proclaimed that President Barack Obama will take “aggressive executive action” on immigration, which Perez said will bring about more “shared prosperity.”

Addressing the National Press Club this week, Perez, who is reportedly on the short list to be Obama’s next attorney general, said the country needed to “fix our broken immigration system” with comprehensive amnesty legislation that is “big and bold” to ensure that there is “shared prosperity,” which he said is a goal of his Labor Department. Though the Congressional Budget Office determined that comprehensive amnesty legislation would lower the wages of American workers, Labor Secretary Perez championed it.

“Shared prosperity” is Progressive collectivist speak for “shared poverty.” Marxist weasel-worthy.

Turkish President and all around Islamist weasel Recep Tayyip Erdoğan!!

erdogan-cartoon

GrEaT sAtAn”S gIrLfRiEnD:For watching from the sidelines as Kurds and ISIL are in a bitter battle for the Syrian town of Kobani on the Turkish border.

For whatever reasons, the Turks do not dig Kurds and their fear of a brand new nation state called Kurdistan shows up Erdogan as cold and calculated as the ancient Bolsheviks that ran Russia in the last millennium. On paper anywrought, Turkey is big and strong and could certainly handle any minorities wanting to secede, yet their behavior towards the Kurds in Kobani is beyond the pale.

CNN ‘News Anchor’ Carol Costello!!

carol-costello-BRISTOL-620x270

Nice Deb :Although CNN News Anchor Carol Costello shouldn’t have a job after her disturbing antics, last week, she does deserve to be considered for the esteemed title of Weasel of the Week in my humble opinion.

In the shocking segment, Costello could barely contain her glee over hearing new audio of Bristol Palin describing her assault at a party in Alaska a few weeks ago. In fact, Costello called it “quite possibly the best minute and a half of audio we’ve ever come across.”

Costello then proceeded to describe the “massive brawl” and before playing the audio she told her viewers “so sit back and enjoy.”

What you were asked to “sit back and enjoy” was the sound of a tearful and near hysterical Bristol Palin describing to the police the physical assault she had just experienced.

Despite overwhelming approbation from fellow journalists and conservatives appalled by her hypocrisy, Costello has thus far resisted offering an apology on the air for gloating over Bristol Palin’s distress, instead opting to offer a weak and weaselly apology to Politico.

Virginia Right! :I am going to go with Carol Costello of CNN who was absolutely bubbly about Bristol Palin  being assaulted.

People that hate Sarah Palin so much ought to be in jail. There is no place in America for such hate by proxy.

Well, there it is! Are these worthy weasels or what? Check back Thursday to see which Weasel walks off with the statuette of shame!

Make sure to tune in every Monday for the Watcher’s Forum.

And remember, every Wednesday, the Council has its weekly contest with the members nominating two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council. The votes are cast by the Council, and the results are posted onFriday morning.

It’s a weekly magazine of some of the best stuff written in the blogosphere, and you won’t want to miss it...or any of the other fantabulous Watcher’s Council content.

And don’t forget to like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter..’cause we’re cool like that, y’know?

Goodlatte: There’s Increasing Evidence the WH Plans To Transport Ebola Patients From W Africa To US For Treatment

On the Kelly File, Monday night, Ed Henry reported on the growing controversy regarding the use of quarantines for Americans returning from West Africa. The White House is, of course, against quarantines and travel bans for doctors and nurses returning to the states after treating Ebola patients – basically any common sense action that can protect Americans they have a knee-jerk aversion to. The Pentagon on the other hand, is mandating 21 day quarantines for returning troops even thought they haven’t been in “the hot zone” in direct contact with patients.

Suspicion is growing that the White House is planning to bring Ebola patients from West Africa to the United States for treatment without consent from Congress.

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte wrote to the president, last week, asking about those plans, and is still waiting for a response. Meanwhile, as Kelly notes, we’re hearing news that the Pentagon is building portable isolation units that can transport up to 12 Ebola patients on military planes.

“And the Pentagon says these are not meant for the troops who are serving on the Ebola mission.”

“There’s increasing evidence that they’re making those plans,” Goodlatte said. He claimed they received information about the plans from people within the administration.

Got News: #Ebola Nurse Complaining About Quarantine is Left-Wing Democrat, CDC Employee WITH UPDATE

The nurse currently quarantined in New Jersey is an employee for the Centers for Disease Control and a registered Democrat with a history of left-wing advocacy, Gotnews.com has learned.

Kaci Hickox’s ties to the CDC were not disclosed in a controversial anti-quarantine column she wrote for the Dallas Morning News. The CDC opposes quarantines or travel bans from Ebola infected countries.

Initially turned down for Doctors Without Borders, Hickox applied for a position with the Centers for Disease Control’s infectious disease unit. She received that position and began a two-year fellowship in Las Vegas, NV where she currently still works.

Hickox’s travels as a nurse took her to Myanmar, Cambodia, and Nigeria and convinced her of the importance of quarantines and “health surveillance,” according to the University of Texas-Arlington newsmagazine. “I realize that we need to find better ways to improve health surveillance and outbreak response in settings with poor resources,” Hickox said. “My training in the EIS with the CDC will allow me to learn the gold standard of this kind of work.”

But Hickox, who is a registered Democrat in Nevada, is ignoring health surveillance as she pushes back against a mandatory quarantine for persons working with ebola in West Africa.

Marine Becomes First Casualty in Operation Inherent Resolve

isis26n-1-web

Thoughts and prayers for this brave young Marine and his loved ones.

New York Daily News reports that “a 19-year-old  Marine from California became the first U.S. military serviceman to die in Iraq while fighting Islamic State militants.” But goes on to note that “Marine Lance Cpl. Sean Neal died in Baghdad Thursday in a non-combat-related incident.”

So I’m confused… was he in a non-combat role or did he die fighting ISIS?

Neal was a mortarman assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Seventh Marine Regiment, according to the Los Angeles Times.

He joined the Marine Corps in July 2013 and was stationed at Camp Pendleton before he was sent to Iraq as part of the group assigned to boost America’s response to ISIS in the region.

The NYDN reports that “details about how Neal died were not immediately available.” (Wait until after the 2014 midterms.)
