Obama Still Behind The Learning Curve On Midterm Shellacking (Video)

There seemed to be the consensus among the political wags on the Sunday talk shows, today.  The president still hasn’t gotten the message from the mid term shellacking  nor does he seem to grasp that he’s going to have to compromise with Republicans. Furthermore, he refuses to acknowledge the fact that his left-wing agenda has been rejected by the American people.

Bob Woodward, was taken aback by the president’s interview with Bob Schieffer, Sunday, making a great point about the president’s attitude toward the Republican congress. Basically Obama is going to do them the great favor of running his dictats past them before he whips out his pen.

“He said he’s going to reach out to the other side to persuade and sell,” Woodward noted. “Now, if you’re going to reach out to get done something, one of the things you’re going to do is listen. But we didn’t hear that.”

Woodward continued, “what we heard was the continuous Obama line, ‘I’m heading in the right direction….’ and (Woodward being incredibly generous here) no one knows better than Obama that all these powers are shared with congress and a go-it-alone approach just is not going to work.”

Also on Face the Nation, today, Shieffer said, “I think the president’s relations with the Democrats in the Senate may be as bad as his relations with the Republicans.”

Woodward agreed. “That’s absolutely true,” he said. “You get the Democrats in private, and they are on fire! Because he won’t spend the time, because he won’t listen. Peggy [Noonan] said yesterday in her column, and I think there is real truth here: humility is power.”

And that’s one personality trait this president is completely lacking.

On “Media Buzz” Sunday, on Fox News White House reporter Ed Henry talked about the post shellacking press conference earlier this week in which he asked Obama why he was doubling down on the same failed approach and policies, as opposed to trying something new for the final two years of his presidency.

Henry told Howard Kurtz he thought that was the obvious question to ask in the wake of the Democrats’ overwhelming defeat to Republicans in the midterm election, and even though he was the 6th reporter to be called upon, no one else had bothered asking it.

“The last few days, it’s been widespread commentary, not just among conservatives, that the president did not acknowledge that he lost,” Henry said. “He was trying to make the case that somehow his policies won, even though he said his policies were on the ballot and Democrats took a drubbing.”

Yep, Dems took it on the chin, all right,  and as far as the Democrat media complex is concerned, an intervention is necessary. The long knives are  coming out. There needs to be a scapegoat – but who???

The Politico: Fire Valerie Jarrett:

Almost since the start of Barack Obama’s presidency, people who have actual, real duties in the West Wing of the White House—the working, executive part of the government, that is—have been urging him to do something about Valerie Jarrett. Push her into the East Wing, where she can hang out with Michelle Obama and the White House social secretary, or give her an ambassadorship—or something—but for Pete’s sake get her out of the way of the hard work of governing that needs to be done.

Now it’s really time to do it.

Washington insiders have known for a long time that “the other side of Barack’s brain” is a problem. But given this president’s  inability learn from mistakes and solve problems, you can bet she won’t be hitting the bricks any time soon.

Jeanine Pirro: “Mr President, Americans See Through You…” (Video)

Judge Jeanine Pirro took great relish in spiking the football on her show Justice with Judge Jeanine, Saturday night.

She crowed that the president’s “effort to create a socialist style government under the guise of being simply progressive, was overwhelmingly rejected by you, the voters!”

“You rejected the make-believe war on woman that this administration tried to sell,” Pirro continued. “The voters this time NOT ‘low-information’ but instead briefed and savvy to the charades, the shell games and the lies.”

After playing the clip from the president’s post shellacking presser Wednesday, when he said he heard the 2/3 of the voters who didn’t vote for him, she asked Obama incredulously, “you heard them, too? What did they tell you?!”

She also hammered him for trying to blame Washington for his own miserable failures.

“Mr. President,” Pirro began with a smile. “One of the reasons Washington doesn’t work well is because as a leader – if you want to call yourself that! – you have created more division, more anger, and more hostility than most of us can remember in recent history.”

She then rolled off a list of scandals and failures that he has presided over leading to a poisonous atmosphere in Washington.

“And now you dig your deals in even deeper?” she said alluding to his executive action on amnesty.

“Mr president, with all due respect, You’re still a bully!” Pirro exclaimed.  It’s you saying do it my way or I’ll do an executive order to do it my way. Nowhere did you indicate that you would compromise with the historically large Republican congress just voted in by the American people.”

“Mr president , Americans see through you, Pirro declared. Truth and justice is what they want. They want to take back America – and make no mistake – they have just begun.”

Pirro had on the Blaze’s military analyst Buck Sexton to discuss the latest dangerous Gitmo detainee to be released by the Regime.
