Fox News Reveals Documents Detailing Obama’s “Constitutionally Odious” Amnesty (Video)

I’m gonna start calling it “cram-nesty” because that’s what it is – the usurper cramming another grossly unpopular policy down the nation’s throat.

Via Fox News Insider:

As part of the 10-point plan, up to 4.5 million illegal immigrants living with their American born kids would be allowed to stay in the U.S., an expansion of deferred action. The plan would also expand deferred action for DACA children. There is also a proposal to raise pay for ICE officers to boost morale.

The plan would also allow family members of illegal immigrants another avenue for citizenship through the military’s delayed entry program. Sources say this avenue will likely be exploited, with people joining the military, then not showing up for boot camp.

Other proposals include a 50-percent discount to the first 10,000 naturalization applicants, 500,000 technology jobs through the State Department visa program, and increased border security.

Later during the panel discussion, Charles Krauthammer called the plan “constitutionally odious.”

He said the proposal is an advertisement to the world that you can come into America illegally, and if you wait long enough, we will legalize you.

Can we talk about impeachment now? Empty talk and huffing and puffing is not going to do a thing to stop a tyrannical president.

“While your Executive Order pad is out, can you write one to bring my son and the tens of thousands (actually over 100,000) killed by illegal aliens back to life and to bring our destroyed families back together?” asks Don Rosenberg in a letter to Obama. His son Drew was killed by an illegal alien who ran over him in 2010.

In the letter, Rosenberg notes that President Obama’s administration refused to deport the illegal alien who killed his son.

Hump Day Link-Around: The Regime’s Transparency Lie

OBAMA-transparency-

I’ve gotta clear some tabs, ya’ll.

Jack Cashill, The American Thinker: Sharyl Attkisson and the Transparency Lie:

As she documents in her stunning new book, Stonewalled, there has never been a more deceptive administration, nor one more dedicated to destroying those who tell the truth. In the words of David Sanger, the veteran chief Washington correspondent of the New York Times, “This is the most closed, control freak administration I’ve ever covered.”

Those of us reporting from what Obama biographer David Remnick called “the Web’s farthest lunatic orbit” anticipated this turn of events before the 2008 election. In attempting to get the word out, we were routinely discredited by the Obama camp and its media allies. Attkisson uses the word “controversialize” to describe the mechanics of this process.

I had some first-hand experience with this in the fall of 2008 when I advanced the theory that terrorist emeritus Bill Ayers helped Barack Obama with his acclaimed 1995 memoir, Dreams from My Father. In early October 2008 Rush Limbaugh discussed the theory on air. Had any major media outlet simply examined my evidence, an honest report on the same could have turned the election.

That was not about to happen. Remnick, editor of the liberal New Yorker, took the same tack in his biography that the few in the media who bothered to cover the “controversy” took in 2008. “This may not have been Limbaugh’s most racist insinuation of the campaign,” said Remnick, but he concluded that our collective “libel about Obama’s memoir — the denial of literacy, the denial of authorship — had a particularly ugly pedigree.”

The easily intimidated pharisees on the right quickly fell into line. The Wall Street Journal’s James Taranto, for instance, singled me out by name as among those right-wingers who “engaged in irresponsible rumor-mongering and conspiracy-theorizing.”

If people like me were easily “controversialized,” people like Attkisson were not. She was a veteran, Emmy Award-winning reporter for a major news network with a non-partisan paper trail. The problem was that there were too few people like Attkisson to commandeer a major media newsroom.

Michael Snyder at Doug Ross @Journal: How pervasive is government harassment of the press?

Sadly, Attkisson is far from alone. A whole host of other media personalities that have also been very critical of Barack Obama have been targeted. As we have seen, sometimes the IRS is the vehicle used to go after them. Other times, more direct action is taken.

For example, there have been very few media personalities that have been more critical of Barack Obama than Rick Wiles of TruNews. And what he has been going through in recent months is more than just a little bit alarming.

How would you feel if strange vehicles sat outside your home and the men sitting inside the vehicles stared at you for hours? Well, that is exactly what is happening at TruNews headquarters. The following is an excerpt from what Rick shared with his listeners just the other day…

Friday was an unusually busy day. A total of four vehicles parked in the same spot throughout the day. The moment one vehicle departed it was immediately replaced by another vehicle. If I were a paranoid conspiracy theorist, I’d think we were under surveillance! What a crazy idea. This is America. That kind of stuff doesn’t happen here, right?

Friday morning started out with the first car. Soon after, another vehicle joined. Both vehicles sat next to each other for several hours. I can turn around in my office and look out the window and see them. I walked outside and took photos of the vehicles. I wanted them to see me watching them.

Shortly after taking the photographs, both vehicles drove away. Immediately, they were replaced by a third vehicle.

I walked outside and took a photo of the third vehicle too. He started his engine and very slowly drove toward me. He had his window down and stared at me as he slowly drove by the office. I waved at him to let him know I was aware of his presence and wasn’t intimidated.

But even more troubling have been the repeated break-ins at night. Nothing has ever been stolen during these break-ins, and whoever was conducting them had the ability to turn off the security cameras

The good news is that the mysterious breaking and entering intrusions into our offices appear to have stopped. For months there were clear signs that somebody was entering the building. We found ceiling tiles moved, ceiling attic doors hanging open, and some doors unlocked. Nothing was ever stolen or moved.

I changed the locks and security access codes multiple times throughout the summer. They continued to enter as though they walked through the walls. Furthermore, our security cameras stopped recording at certain hours during the night. Obviously, the intruders were people with advanced skills and technologies to enable them to evade detection.

Have other conservative bloggers and journalists faced similar intimidation? Has anyone had weird issues with their computers that they blew off rather than seem paranoid? How many of us have had the FBI visit us at our homes? It’s time to come out of the shadows and tell our stories.

David Horowitz, FrontPageMagazine: The Democrats’ Great Betrayal:

Why did the Democrats turn against a war they had authorized and why did they accuse Bush of deceiving the American people (“Bush lied, people died”)? Not because of anything that had taken place on the battlefield in Iraq. The Democrats turned against the war because an anti-war activist named Howard Dean was set to win the Democratic presidential primary – which happened to coincide with the invasion – by a wide margin. It was Dean’s surge in the polls that caused John Kerry and John Edwards who eventually became the Democratic standard bearers to do an about face, repudiate their previous support of the war, and turn on the president as the chief culprit in the conflict rather than the sadistic tyrant Saddam Hussein. The Democrats even lied about the rationale for the war which was not the existence of weapons of mass destruction but Saddam’s violation of the Gulf War truce and 17 UN Resolutions designed to prevent him from building weapons of mass destruction.

Why did the Democrats claim – falsely – that Bush lied about the reasons for the war? Because the Democrats could not admit that they were turning against a war they themselves had authorized for partisan political gain, undoubtedly the most shameful act by a major political party in the nation’s history.

The Democrats went on to conduct a five-year scorched earth campaign against America’s war in Iraq, which was in effect the central front of the war on terror, as the creation of an Islamic terrorist state has since shown. Democrats did not merely oppose the war but slandered the president as a liar and war criminal, defended the leaks of national security programs (which led to their destruction), converted a minor incident in the Abu Ghraib prison into an international scandal which was then used to defame their country and demoralize its troops, and actively sought to defund the war effort in Congress and force an American defeat. They eventually succeeded in this effort by nominating a leftwing anti-war activist who upon reaching the White House proceeded to make America’s defeat in Iraq a fait accompli, thus creating the vacuum that ISIS has filled.

Keith Hennessey: Dr. Gruber’s honesty about lying:

This provokes four questions:

  1. Is Dr. Gruber right that lack of transparency was a huge political advantage in enacting ObamaCare?
  2. Do Dr. Gruber’s allies in Congress and the Obama White House agree that ObamaCare cross-subsidies were intentionally obscured to avoid politically unpopular votes?
  3. Do they agree with the more general principle, that some large, explicit, and transparent subsidies will be unpopular, and that the only way to enact them is to hide and obscure them?
  4. If so, is it ethical to hide and obscure large cross-subsidies (or large costs), in ObamaCare and elsewhere, so they can be enacted into law? Does the end of greater redistribution justify the means of obfuscation, of lying to voters?

Here are my answers.

  1. Yes. Dr. Gruber is right that lack of transparency provided a huge political advantage in enacting ObamaCare. He is correct that the cross-subsidies within that bill would have doomed it had they been explicit, transparent, and well understood. If your goal is to enact unpopular subsidies then hiding them is an effective means to doing so.
  2. Yes. I would bet heavily that both Team Obama and key Congressional Democrats involved in enacting the Affordable Care Act intentionally obscured these policies as Dr. Gruber described and for the reasons he gave. I think this logic permeates the construction, drafting, and enactment of this law.
  3. Yes. I think this tactic is core to progressives’ long-term success in expanding government’s function as a massive income redistribution machine. This logic underlies hidden cross-subsidies in many of our largest government programs and the taxes imposed to finance them. It is on occasion embraced across the political spectrum, but it’s a tool used far more often  by the Left to redistribute society’s resources behind our backs.
  4. No. I think this tactic is repulsive and unethical in a representative democracy.

Washington Free Beacon: Gallup Poll: Americans Overwhelmingly Want GOP Congress to Set Country’s Agenda, Not Obama

A new Gallup poll released Tuesday showed that the majority of Americans trust the incoming Republican Congress over President Obama to set the nation on the right track.

53 percent of respondents indicated they preferred Republicans in Congress to lead the direction of the United States, while only 36 percent preferred Obama.

MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski said 2014 voters are showing “no sign of buyer’s remorse” following the Republican sweep on November 4.

Liberty Blitzkrieg: Wall Street Journal Reports Obama’s Attorney General Nominee Has Been Involved in $904 Million in Asset Forfeitures

Earlier today, I posted the most recent piece in a series highlighting the insidious and lawless practice of civil asset forfeiture being abused by police departments and prosecutors across America in the post: Quote of the Day – An Incredible Statement from the City Attorney of Las Cruces, New Mexico. I suggest reading that before checking out the rest of this post.

Considering the fact that civil asset forfeiture has rightly entered the national spotlight as of late, the stance of Obama’s nominee for Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, on the matter is extremely important. Particularly if the Wall Street Journal is correct and her office had been aggressive in utilizing this practice to seize funds under her oversight.

Stella Moribito, The Federalist: Trouble In Transtopia: Murmurs Of Sex Change Regret:

You thought the gaystapo – aka the “purple mafia” were bad. Now, mimicking their successful intimidation, speech/though suppression techniques, comes the transsexual mafia.

Everyone has regrets. Some of us have big regrets. Most everyone has some place to go to get help dealing with them.

Except for, say, a guy who had sex-change surgery and now would like to have his penis back. (The one God gave him.)

Our culture seems pretty much “to each his own” when it comes to elective bodily mutilation and the regret thereof. And there’s a lot of regret out there. According to a British poll, a whopping 65 percent of those who’ve had various cosmetic surgeries regret it. People who regret their tattoos, plastic surgery, or more extreme body modifications (here’s a sad Buzzfeed pictorial on the effects of ear gauges) can read up on the Internet and find an open array of remedies. Plastic surgeons make money both puttin’ it in and takin’ it out.

Hollywood stars can speak openly about misgivings over their boob jobs and whatnot. Regarding her lip enhancement surgery, Courtney Love said: “I just want the mouth God gave me back.”

But the difference between Love and the guy with phantom penis syndrome is that the guy isn’t allowed to talk about his regret. Not openly. The transgender lobby actively polices and suppresses discussion of sex-change regret, and claims it’s rare (no more than “5 percent.”) However, if you do decide to “de-transition” to once again identify with the sex in your DNA, talking about it will get you targeted by trans activists. So it’s a challenge to understand the scope of regret for sex change surgery. It’s out there, but…

Caught on Tape: Gruber Called American People Stupid In Another “Off the Cuff” Speak-o

Wow, this man is really  insufferable.

Marc Thiessen: “Gruber as so condescending that “he actually wrote a comic book to explain ObamaCare because of course we’re not smart enough to read chapter books.”

The book describes the individual mandate as “the spinach we have to eat in order to get the dessert that is fairly priced health insurance. “

Tuesday night, Megyn Kelly opened her show by airing a second video of Jonathan “Grubby” Gruber making another “off the cuff” speak-o that sounds a lot like disrespect for the American people’s intelligence. In explaining how Democrats played with the language of the Obama care law to achieved their goals, he could be heard saying “the American voters are too stupid to understand the difference.”

UPDATE:

Yet another insulting speak-o via Ed Morrissey at Hot Air:

Either Gruber makes a lot of “speak-os” or he thinks Americans are really dumb ….and therefore exploitable:

“It’s a very clever, you know, basic exploitation of the lack of economic understanding of the American voter,” Gruber, an economist at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said during a speech at the University of Rhode Island in November 2012.

He was discussing what is known as the Cadillac tax and how it came into being.

Gowdy Zings Gruber: “If You Want to See How Stupid Our Fellow Citizens Are, Take a Look at Last Tuesday Night”

Conservative fave  Rep. Trey Gowdy surfaced on the Kelly File Tuesday night to offer his thoughts on Grubby Gruber’s bombshell ObamaCare tape where he admitted  Democrats used subterfuge to fool the “stupid American voter” and pass ObamaCare. Gowdy was in rare form, uncorking one zinger after another with blinding speed.

The South Carolina Republican began by telling Megyn Kelly that he couldn’t “even get past the irony to get to the arrogance” of the “most transparent administration since the continents shifted [having] to rely on artifice and deception to pass its signature piece of legislation.”

“You can’t make that up,” Gowdy said. “He had to lie to people, and then he justified it, so I can’t even get past the irony of that to even get to the arrogance of him calling our fellow citizens stupid.”

Kelly described the video as a “smoking gun and made the point that the American public has always disliked the law and complained that it was crammed down their throat, that there was dishonesty in the process, they were not told the full story – and now you’ve got the chief architect … of the law, saying, ‘yes, we had to lie because you are too dumb to know what’s good for you.”

Gowdy agreed, saying, “it’s really serious in a participatory democracy when you tell your fellow citizens that you’re either not smart enough to understand the truth or we can’t tell you the truth because you wouldn’t go along with it. Well, if you wouldn’t go along with it, maybe you shouldn’t pass the law.”

“Put down the cognac and the lost writings of J.D. Salinger,” he said. “If you want to see how stupid our fellow citizens are, take a look at last Tuesday night, because they rejected you, this bill and this administration.”

“They bounced out 28 Senators who voted for this law,” Kelly noted as she launched into an impassioned soliloquy; “Mr Gruber thinks the American public is stupid and yet they are smarter than he thinks because they doubted his assertions at the time, and they’ve doubted his assertions ever since so despite his efforts to pull the wool over their eyes, they have been on to these deceptions for a long, long time. This law has never had the majority support of the American people. And yet it is on the books – they are stuck with it. And now people want to come out and say it doesn’t matter what Mr. Gruber said, all that matters is we have this wonderful law that people should love and if they don’t, it’s because they’re stupid.”

“Keep this in mind anytime anyone wants to sell you any, quote ‘Comprehensive’ piece of legislation.” Gowdy advised.  “Comprehensive is Latin for ‘there’s lots of bad stuff in here.'”

Asked if the president should repudiate Gruber’s remarks, Gowdy said he would love for Obama, “whom I saw in his purple jacket over in China,” to repudiate Gruber’s words and actions.

“He insulted the very people who frankly put this man in office, twice,” Gowdy exclaimed.

Linked by Doug Ross, thanks!
