Watcher’s Council Nominations – Cuba Betrayed Edition

With today’s announcement by President Obama that the U.S. will be normalizing relations with Cuba, American foreign policy took a very dark turn. Just at the point when this hideous regime was on the verge of collapse, our president took action that will not promote freedom for the Cuban people, but will throw an economic lifeline to a brutal dictatorship to enable it to stay in power. Disgraceful and shameful beyond words.

Welcome to the Watcher’s Council, a blogging group consisting of some of the most incisive blogs in the ‘sphere, and the longest running group of its kind in existence. Every week, the members nominate two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council. Then we vote on the best two posts, with the results appearing on Friday morning.

  1. The regime has to be running out of white flags to wave and buses to throw people under at this point, no?

I mean after all, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iran, Arab Spring, Middle East, Benghazi, Law and Order, the Military, Russia, National Security, Immigration, Ukraine, NATO, Israel.

Is there any ethic group at this point that they haven’t managed to piss off? My suggestion at this point for the monarchy, is to give the SOTU address on Telemundo and Univision instead of the usual msm networks. He’ll draw a larger audience over there. I’m sure he can still get John Boner and Mitch to make a joint appearance with him over there, for the sake of bi-partisanship.
