Barack Obama was noticeably absent. Over 50 world leaders showed – Obama ostensibly sent Eric Holder, who was not seen at the vigil, march or the rally. Plausible deniability, but if a politician goes to a wake and no one sees him, did he really go? Obama is dining and golfing… Holder is probably meeting with Islamists.
Ask Marion: My nomination for the weasel of the week is President Obama… yes again… this time for not joining the other leaders of the Western world in Paris to stand in unity against radical Islamic terrorism. Guess he is still recovering from jet lag after his two week Hawaiian holiday vacation?
President Obama and US Secretary of State John Kerry were noticeably absent as most of the world’s leadership stood together in unity and linked arms against terrorism and for freedom. At a time when the US looks ever weaker after our president has spent 6-years apologizing for American exceptionalism and continues to appease those who would oppress anyone who chooses not to accept their radical ideology, our president needed to be part of the united coalition in Paris. Radical Islam is at war with us. They are attacking us and the rest of the Western world on all fronts and President Obama is still cutting deals with the Muslim Brotherhood and inviting them to the White House.
This is what happens when we don’t vet our candidates and vote for people we do not know or understand.

Bookworm Room :I’m giving my Weasel of the Week nomination to J.K. Rowling. She’s a brilliant writer, but when it comes to world issues, logic, and politics, she’s proven herself to be an uneducated, illogical, and possibly racist moron.
When Rupert Murdoch correctly tweeted that Islamic terrorism stretches around the world and that it needs a reformation from within, Rowling sent several inane tweets in response:
“I was born Christian. If that makes Rupert Murdoch my responsibility, I’ll auto-excommunicate.” [See tweet here.]
“The Spanish Inquisition was my fault, as is all Christian fundamentalist violence. Oh, and Jim Bakker.” [See tweet here.]
“Eight times more Muslims have been killed by so-called Islamic terrorists than non-Muslims.” [See tweet here.]
By tweeting this nonsense, Rowling ignored the fact that Murdoch has never justified any of his actions by saying that he was following Biblical mandates; that Christian reformation resulted in rejection of the Spanish Inquisition; that American Evangelicals, rather than distancing themselves from Bakker by announcing that he wasn’t a Christian, instead denounced his conduct, calling it unbecoming for a Christian; and that citing to Muslim internecine massacres as an excuse for not castigating Muslim violence sounds remarkably like saying “It’s all good when the brown people kill each other.”
Secondary Weasel nominations go to all the Progressives around the world who actually thought Rowling said something intelligent, and lionized her accordingly in social media.

In a double whammy of stupidity, she tweeted:

Fallacy #1 She seemed to be suggesting that Christians and Jews commit terrorist attacks in similar numbers as Muslims.
Fallacy #2 She was also suggesting that a significant number of conservatives were accusing all Muslims of being terrorists. When I asked her who was doing that — name names, she ignored me.
She also put her gross hypocrisy on display with this tweet:

It took conservatives approximately two seconds to find examples of Kohn insulting other people’s “faith tradition” on Twitter here and here:

Warning! I don’t issue “disclaimers” on anything. No excuses, no apologies, no caveats. So if you’re easily offended with the lack of one I’d suggest you move along before your head explodes with the following. If the sandal fits wear it, if not get over it.
That post by Rowling {and like thinkers} is amazing in the depth of stupidity, a lack of knowledge and understanding of historical and recent events, hypocrisy. especially as a Christian {if she really is one}. I guess the only explanation is she has been wrapped up in her own virtual reality world of sorcery, witches, and wizards. That’s just for starters.
No society or culture can survive intact with unfettered, unlimited immigration without assimilation of the immigrant. Multiculturalism is and always has been a total failure without assimilation. If you’re not willing to assimilate into the culture you’re considering, stay the hell where you are and save everybody a lot of headaches, including your own.
Rowling as a women should at least be aware of the way Muslim women are treated like second class citizens within the countries they live in and the religion they practice. In fact as a women, Rowling would’ve had a ZERO chances of achieving the notoriety, fame or fortune that she has managed to amass if she were a Muslim women. In fact in many sects of that religion she probably would’ve been buried up to her chest and stoned to death by members of her own family, friends, religious leaders and neighbors for blaspheme. The real war on terror if you’re a women has existed for centuries within the Islam community and nobody is even attempting to address it. Rowling if a Muslim would be walking around in a cheap set of living room drapes in public, covered from head to toe, I don’t believe she is living that experience as a Christian right now.
Ignoring or taking the Neville Chamberlain approach to this problem isn’t going to solve anything. Moderate Muslims are petrified to speak out against the injustices because of a fear of a fatwa being placed on their head. Obviously the religion has either a real or perceived problem within their own community. Murdoch was exactly right in his tweet. There is a incongruent message being put out from different sides of the Muslim religion. Islam is either a “Religion of Peace” as some claim or they are what a significant portion of their religion has managed to hijack and take over. Both of them cannot coexist in harmony. It’s one or the other, no middle ground here.
Infidels aren’t going to get this straightened out, it’s entirely up to the members of the Muslim community to get a grip on this situation and become productive members of civilization. Exactly as Murdoch said.
All religions throughout history have had their own problems with civility throughout the ages. All have managed to evolve and have posed no overt threat {except to some loons} for centuries now, except one, that refuses to evolve, modernize and live in the 21st century instead of the 5th or 6th century.
Productive, peaceful members of society do not take unarmed hostages and humanitarian aid workers and behead them, then publish their deeds so the world can digest the brutality and inhumanity of it. They also never participate in collecting dozens of minor children {ages 8 -13} and demand that they renounce their Christian faith or else they’ll get behead and were beheaded. They don’t also pursue members of other faiths requiring them to do the same, then slaughter unarmed women and children. A religion of peace also doesn’t issue a fatwa on a former Muslim for simply converting to another religion.
Behavior such as this is barbaric, inhumane, and brutal actions shouldn’t exist because it’s a threat to everyone. It shouldn’t be tolerated by any member of a civil society. It needs to be changed and revised internally amongst themselves. After the Arab Spring and the election of the Muslim Brotherhood, wholesale genocide happened in Egypt and else where at the hands of the disciples of the religion of peace. Christians have occupied that land before the founding of Islam. Whole sects and ancient Churches were destroyed and thousands of Christians were displaced, slaughtered or beheaded. Since they have been overthrown the President of Egypt Al-Sisi has personally challenged Muslim religious leaders to revise their religion and end the brutality that exist within it. Pretty courageous, but for the most part {with few exceptions} a lone voice in a vast wilderness.
Charlie Ebdo were equal opportunity bashers. They went after Christians, Jews and Muslims in their publication. Previously they were firebombed over it and yet they continued to do it. It certainly was their right to do it, but it was guaranteed to provoke a response from at least one of the “offended”. Guess which one? Hint: it wasn’t the Christians or Jews. Charlie is the equivalent of our Mad Magazine only with gutter humor published by secularists against numerous religions. If that is what entertains you, have at it. It certainly didn’t deserve a response from anyone who is civilized such as it did. I hope all would agree with that premise, at least.
Appeasement is never the answer, history proves that. How has that hashtag “save our girls” worked out with Boko Harum? How about being Gay under Islamic Law? Should we broach that subject? They aren’t being crucified, beheaded or stoned to death by any Christian religion that I’m aware of.
The overwhelming stupidity of people like Rowling are contributing to the danger here. It defies any reasonable logic or historic content and understanding. They are making the entire world a much more dangerous place to live in. The sooner it all gets straightened out the better off the entire world is going to be. Any other threat the world and a civil society faces today pales in comparison to Islamic Terrorist, not even close.
It’s high time people like Rowling remove their collective heads from the sand or where ever else they have them stored.
