Shock Report: US Consulate in Jerusalem Arming Palestinian Guards

US consulate in Jerusalem East Talpiyot

The Times of Israel is reporting that the US Consulate in Jerusalem is arming and training a force of 35 Palestinians from East Jerusalem to serve as armed guards, a arrangement that violates a 2011 agreement between Israel and the consulate.

According to the Hebrew daily Yedioth Ahronoth, only IDF combat veterans should be authorized to carry arms as consulate guards.

“The consulate was authorized to keep roughly 100 handguns for security staff, on condition that they be either American diplomats or Israeli army veterans,” the paper’s Itamar Eichner wrote.

Additionally, Israeli guards at the consulate alleged that the Palestinians were being trained with firearms in Jericho at a Palestinian Preventative Security base and in the United States.

Regional Security Officer Dan Cronin, Israeli guards claimed, “is in effect setting up an armed Palestinian militia in the consulate. They are being trained with weapons, in Krav Maga, and tactical driving. It’s irresponsible. Who can guarantee that such weapons in the hands of Palestinians won’t spread to terror?”

The US Consulate denied a Times of Israel request to speak with Cronin and declined to directly address the assertions in the article. “The US Consulate General in Jerusalem has full confidence in the professionalism of its staff,” a US official said. “We do not discuss the security of our diplomatic missions, but note there are many inaccuracies in the story.”

“In addition,” he said, “we coordinate fully and regularly with local authorities.”

He would not detail the alleged inaccuracies.

Three Israeli security guards have reportedly quit in protest, and say that ” the consulate also keeps machine guns and rifles on the premises, further violating the alleged agreement.”  It is being reported that one senior staff member at the Consulate has served time in Israeli prison for membership in the Fatah organization.

Israel Matzav says, “this is being done so that the next time the consulate decides to go ‘investigate‘ alleged vandalism by ‘settlers,’ they will have guards along who will be willing to open fire.”

The Obama Regime, CAIR, and the Doctrine of Taqiyya

The Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which has been designated a terror organization by the United Arab Emirates, claims to support “freedom expression” but is asking Fox News to drop “Islamophobes like Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel, and Zuhdi Jasser from its programming.

If that sounds strangely inconsistent, welcome to Taqiyya, the doctrine of tactical deception that is practiced by radical Islam and the Alinsky-trained radical left.

In the wake of the Charlie Hebdo slaughter,  the Executive Director of CAIR, Nihad Awad, sounded much like the president in his condemnation of the attack by perpetrators he characterized as “extremists who claim to be Muslim.”

Listen to this PC mealy-mouthed mush coming from this guy’s mouth and tell me how it differs from the mealy-mouthed mush you hear from any of the Obama Regime mouth pieces or the Dissembler in Chief himself on any given day.

“The world is a global village. We’re not living under one culture or one mindset. Diversity of opinions, diversity of cultures, diversity of religion is the nature and the reality of the world. We have to respect that. We cannot impose our value on any culture. We believe that we are dealing unfortunately on two extremes on both sides. We cannot allow ourselves to be victims of extremists — on both sides,”  Awad intoned at a press conference after the attacks.

There are only two sides, apparently – One side being Islam and the other — Kafir?  And the extremists on the Kafir side who assert their right to insult “the prophet of islam” are just as bad as the murderous barbarians who want to kill them for it? I’m not sure what he was trying to say there.

But – – “Freedom of expression is not alien to Islam,” Awad insisted, challenging the assembled to quote any verse in the Koran that prevents anyone from “speaking out their minds.”

Raises hand. Oooh! Pick me, Pick me!

Apostasy (the rejection of Islam) is the ultimate speaking of one’s mind. What does the Koran say about it?

In Islam, the rejection in part (i.e. apostasy via blasphemy in belief) of any of the individual pillars or principles of Islam, or discarding the faith as a whole, amounts to apostasy.[37]Under Islamic law, it is a crime punishable by death. This punishment was prescribed by Muhammad himself who had said “Whoever changed his Islamic religion, then kill him.”[38] Apostasy was one of only three reasons given by him where killing a Muslim is permitted.[39] His wishes were followed by Caliph Abu Bakr, who had many apostates killed during the lengthy “Riddah (apostasy) wars” for their refusal to pay tithe. These people were not rejecting Islam as a whole but only refusing to abide by one of its five pillars (Zakat). This also attests to the fact apostasy was a serious crime within early Islam and was not some later innovation. In fact, it was one Qur’anic verse (the verse of the sword – Qur’an 9:5) which prompted Abu Bakr to fight. Various hadith record Muhammad’s command being followed by his companions, with atheists,[38] Christians,[40] and Jews[41] being put to death for leaving Islam.[42]

All four schools of Islamic jurisprudence are in agreement with the death sentence for males (who are of sound mind) guilty of Apostasy, with only slight variations on whether to allow the three days grace period.[43] The Hanafi school of Islamic jurisprudence believe female apostates are not to be killed, but beaten and put under confinement until death or repentance, while the remaining Shafi’i, Maliki, and Hanbali schools all agree the verdict for the female apostate is the same as for the male.[44]

Ask Abdullah bin Ubai if he had the freedom to speak his mind.

The Qur’anic verse 5:33 calls for the murder, mutilation, or imprisonment, of those who make “Mischief” in the land, and Muhammad himself had asked his Muslim followers to kill several individuals who were guilty of blaspheming Islam and its Prophet. Muhammad asked Muslims to kill someone named ‘Abdullah bin Ubai (bin Salul) for making “evil” statements about him.[45] He asked Muslims to kill Abu `Afak for making negative remarks about him and Islam.[46] He asked Muslims to kill both Ka’b bin Ashraf[47]and Asma Bint Marwan[48] for writing inflammatory poetry about him and Muslims. Additionally, when Muhammad learned that one of his followers had stabbed and killed his slave women (other sources refer to her as a freed concubine: Umm walad, she was also the mother of a blind man) for making derogatory remarks about Muhammad, he declared that “no retaliation is payable for her blood.”[49] This has effectively set the precedent for all Muslims to follow with such retaliation. No higher authority than ones-self is needed for permission to kill blasphemers.

Thus “it is a criminal offense in Islam to speak ill of the faith, its Prophet Muhammad, and its holy Scriptures (Qur’an and Hadith).”

To do so is considered blasphemy, and blasphemy is punishable by death. If it happens to be a Muslim who is doing the criticizing, their actions would constitute apostasy, therefore they too would be liable for the death penalty. Contrary to what some may suggest, this is not the result of a latter-day innovation of Islam, but something that is deeply rooted within Islamic scripture and the Sunnah of Muhammad.”

It is not surprising that the Hamas/Muslim brotherhood linked CAIR would not be entirely up front with us about what Islamists believe. They are speaking the language of taqiiya. Muslims are permitted to lie to unbelievers in order to defeat them. This is a tactic that Obama has been using for six years to defeat his political opponents.

The terrorist group Hamas itself has condemned the Charlie Hebdo murders.

A statement in French said Hamas “condemns the attack against Charlie Hebdo magazine and insists on the fact that differences of opinion and thought cannot justify murder.”

But a Hamas newspaper revealed what the terrorist organization really thinks when it called the attackers the “heroes of the France invasion.”

In keeping with its stated belief in “freedom of expression,” CAIR on Monday asked Fox News to drop some “Islamophobes” from its programming.

Jihad Watch flagged this  “American Muslim News Briefs” mailing from CAIR:

“Fox News’ continued use of Islamophobes, such Steven Emerson and many others like him, only serves to harm the network’s reputation and to promote hostility toward Islam and ordinary American Muslims,” said CAIR Department to Monitor and Combat Islamophobia Director Corey Saylor.

He said Fox News continues to utilize the nation’s most notorious Islamophobes and Islamophobia enablers — like Robert Spencer, Pamela Geller, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Brigitte Gabriel, and Zuhdi Jasser — as regular commentators on issues related to Islam and Muslims.

So Hamas-linked CAIR wants Fox not to feature Emerson, Geller, Hirsi Ali, Gabriel, Jasser or me — just five days after claiming, in the wake of the Charlie Hebdo jihad massacre, that it supported the freedom of speech. I wrote at that time: “Hamas-linked CAIR is an inveterate and committed enemy of the freedom of speech, tarring and smearing anyone and everyone who dares to utter a critical word about jihad terror as a ‘racist,’ ‘bigoted’ ‘Islamophobe’ and doing everything it can to make sure that such critics are denied platforms to speak and shunned by all decent people.” This new attempt to strong-arm Fox into dropping virtually every one of us who speaks the truth about the jihad threat just confirms that assessment.

House Passes Spending Bill To Stop Obama’s Executive Amnesty (Video)

And the ball rolls into the Senate’s court where Republicans will be hard-pressed to prevent a filibuster from Senate Dems or of course the inevitable White House veto.

Via Hot Air:

Two separate anti-amnesty amendments passed this morning: Marsha Blackburn’s bill, which would freeze Obama’s 2012 DACA amnesty for DREAMers; and Robert Aderholt’s bill, which would defund Obama’s more recent executive amnesty and strip away elements of the previous one. The idea in passing all of them is to give Mitch McConnell options in trying to sell the bill to wary centrist Democrats like Joe Manchin and Claire McCaskill. They might not go for Blackburn’s attack on DACA or Aderholt’s attempt to nuke Obama’s executive overreach. But what about Martha Roby’s more limited bill to defund the November amnesty, which will presumably pass later today? Would Democrats be willing to vote for that, knowing that Obama will veto it if it passes and DHS will be defunded?

Seems like it’s a foregone conclusion to me. (Not the one we were hoping for.)

Great speeches on the House floor, though.

Senator Ted Cruz issued the following statement on the passage of H.R. 240, the Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act:

“Today, the House of Representatives passed serious legislation that fully funds the U.S. Department of Homeland Security but denies President Obama any federal funds to carry out his illegal executive amnesty. I would like to applaud House leadership for its efforts, and also applaud the members of the House who fought successfully to have key language included to defund any expansion of the President’s illegal amnesty. It now falls to the Senate to take up the House bill, preserving those key provisions, and send it to the President, fulfilling our promise to the American people that we will put a stop to President Obama’s unconstitutional actions.”

Want to Know What LEOs Think of Eric Holder? Read This Blistering Open Letter From A Retired FBI Agent

5227

Regular readers of this blog already know what I think of Attorney General Eric Holder. He wasn’t in office for more than a few months before it became obvious to me that he would become the most corrupt Attorney General in our nation’s history.

Retired FBI Special Agent K. Dee McCown shares that opinion and made explicit his disappointment and disgust with Holder in an open letter that has been confirmed as legit by Snopes. To say that this letter is a complete excoriation and repudiation of everything Holder (and his ilk) stands for is an understatement.

Via Tomas Lifson at the American Thinker, here is the letter in full:

K. Dee McCown

College Station, Texas
December 28, 2014
Attorney General Eric Holder
U.S. Department of Justice
950 Pennsylvania Avenue, NW
Washington, DC 20530-0001

Dear Attorney General Holder,

It is unlikely that we met while I served in the FBI. That being said, we served at the Department of Justice (DOJ) during the same years and on the same “team” conceptually speaking. During my service in the FBI I worked with a number of U.S. Attorney Offices in the United States to include a tour at FBIHQ where I worked with the Department of Justice (Main) on a daily basis.

I begin my letter with this comment to highlight that I am not a bystander on the topic of law enforcement in the United States. I worked and managed a variety of federal investigations during my 12 years of service in the FBI, to include the management of several Civil Rights cases in the State of Texas. In fact, during my last tour in the Bureau, I was an FBI Supervisor responsible for managing federal investigations in nine (9) Texas counties, many of which were rural; in places where one would suspect racism to flourish given the narrative often pushed by Hollywood and urban progressive elites like yourself. I performed this mission diligently and under the close supervision of two FBI managers; an Assistant Special Agent in Charge (ASAC) and Special Agent in Charge (SAC,) both of which happened to be African American and outstanding law enforcement professionals. I also performed this mission serving side by side with a variety of law enforcement agencies at the Federal, State and local level.

I have observed you closely during your tenure as Attorney General and notably during these last tumultuous years; watching you negotiate a number of controversial public matters to include the ATF Fast and Furious scandal, Black Panther Party intimidation at voting booths, IRS targeting of American citizens (citizen groups opposed to the Obama Administration,) the ignoring of US Immigration laws, DOJ criminal indictments of select news reporters and your management of several high profile criminal investigations involving subjects of race, notably African Americans.

Until today, I chose to hold my tongue. However, with the assassination of two NYPD Lieutenants last weekend in New York City, at the hands of a African American man with a lengthy criminal record, fresh from his participation in anti-police activities; coupled with numerous “don’t shoot, hands up,” and “black lives matter” anti-police protests (some of which are violent) occurring daily around the nation, I am compelled to write you this letter.

To be blunt Mr. Holder, I am appalled at your lack of leadership as the Attorney General of the United States and your blatant politicizing of the Department of Justice. Your actions, both publicly and privately, have done nothing to quell the complex racial issues we face in our country and have done everything to inflame them. As the “top cop” of the United States, you share in the blame for much of the violence and protests we are now witnessing against law enforcement officers honorably serving throughout our nation.

During one of your first public speeches as Attorney General you made it a point to call America “a nation of cowards” concerning race relations. That speech, followed by other public announcements where you emphatically opined that the odds were stacked against African Americans in regard to the enforcement of law, your intention to change the law and permit convicted felons to vote after incarceration, and your changes to federal law ending “racial profiling,” are poignant examples of how detached you remain from the challenges faced by law enforcement officers serving in crime ridden neighborhoods throughout the nation.

These opinions are also indicative of a man that lives and works in the elitist “bubble” of Washington D.C.

Your performance, as the nation’s Attorney General, during the Trayvon Martin case in Sanford, Florida and the Michael Brown case in Ferguson, Missouri clearly highlights your myopic view on this topic. Contrary to your embarrassing prejudgment in the Brown case and evasive post trial remarks on the Martin case, neither Brown nor Martin were targeted and/or killed because of their African American race.

Rather, as non-emotive investigations determined, both teens died as a consequence of their own tragic and egregious behavior; behavior that involved a violent assault on a law abiding citizen in the Trayvon Martin case, and a violent assault on a young police officer in the Michael Brown case. Yet you, as the number one spokesman for law enforcement in the country, blame the deaths of these men on years of institutional racism and the alleged epidemic targeting of African American men by police departments around the country; nothing could be further from the truth. Following the Michael Brown case Grand Jury decision all you could muster was the following comment: “The Department of Justice is currently investigating not only the shooting but also the Ferguson police department in what is called a “patterns and practices” inquiry to determine if the police department has engaged in systematic racism.”

So, let’s get this straight. At a decisive moment in history when our nation required a strong and unbiased voice from its’ senior law enforcement official, you Mr. Holder, made it your personal mission to join with other racial antagonist and politicize a tragic event, accusing a young white police officer of a racially motivated killing in what we now know was a justified self-defense shooting of a predatory felon. Your behavior is unbelievable. You sir, have sacrificed your integrity on the altar of political expediency. You, Mr. Holder, are the “coward” and hypocrite you so loudly denounce when speaking of broken race relations in America.

Further to this point Mr. Holder, law enforcement officers around the country remain dismayed and shocked at the counsel you keep; that being your close relationship with none other than Al Sharpton, a racist “shake down artist” who spreads hate, divisiveness and the promotion of anti-law enforcement sentiment throughout the country; a tax evading fraudster who has unbelievably visited the White House over 80 times in recent years. It is simply beyond my comprehension as a former federal law enforcement professional, that you, the Attorney General of the United States, joined arms in common cause with a charlatan like “the Reverend” Al Sharpton; and it speaks volumes to your personal character and lack of professional judgment.

Violent crime, out of wedlock births, drug abuse, rampant unemployment and poverty found in many low-income minority neighborhoods are not a result of racist community policing and racial profiling as you so quickly assert, and frankly most law abiding Americans are exhausted of hearing this false narrative repeated time and again by you and others in the racial grievance industry. While no one, me included, would ever suggest that African Americans have not suffered from institutional racism in the past, I would strongly argue that we no longer live in the Mississippi of 1965, nor do we live in a country that even closely resembles the “Jim Crow” South of yesteryear. Those days, thankfully, are in the past as are the generations of Americans that supported such egregious behavior and endured such suffering.

Rather, Mr. Holder, we live in a day and time where the root cause of many problems faced in our African American communities can be attributed to the breakdown of civil order due to the rejection of institutional and family authority and the practice of counter-culture values; and most notably, from the absence of strong male leadership in fatherless black families. The reason that our local police officers are so often entwined in tragic events in black communities is because it is the police that have filled the void in these communities that should be occupied by moral and strong black men leading family units with Godly values. You, Mr. Holder, especially, should be thanking the police rather than persecuting them for the gap they fill in these communities because if it were not for the intervention of local police many African American neighborhoods would be in a state of total anarchy.

Yet tragically, you and your race-baiting colleague Al Sharpton (a paid media personality under contract with MSNBC news) choose to remain silent because to publicly speak this self-evident truth threatens to not only alienate and offend the most loyal voting constituency of the Democratic Party but diminish your and Al Sharpton’s self-serving power base in these suffering communities. God forbid that you would suggest individual citizens accept responsibility for their own behavior and the collective failure of their communities; it is so much easier for you and others like you to make excuses, play the victim card, and pander rather than address the real root causes that plague many low income neighborhoods.

Mr. Holder, the public is aware of FBI statistics that tell a different story than the one you and Sharpton preach. We know that young African American males, representing a tiny fraction of the U.S. population, are by far the greatest perpetrators of violent crime in America when compared to their peers in other ethnic groups, and, we know that citizens of African American descent overwhelmingly make up the majority of their victims. We also know that incidents where white police officers shoot and kill black perpetrators are rare and on the decline. We know further that although there are legitimate and bona fide Federal Civil Rights investigations in the United States worthy of pursuing, they are miniscule when compared to the false narrative portrayed by you, President Obama and Sharpton declaring rampant discrimination against African American men by police officers throughout the country. You are just plain wrong.

In closing Mr. Holder I will leave you with this thought; you were given a rare opportunity to lead with integrity during a variety of divisive and controversial issues during your tenure as the 82d Attorney General of the United States and rather than be a man of moral courage you chose instead to cower, further inflame racial tensions, advance false narratives and play progressive political activist.

Time and again you chose to “politicize” the mission of the Department of Justice rather than pursue justice and now, tragically, we are witnessing the fruits of your irresponsible behavior in the murder of two innocent police officers in New York City, assassinated by a man motivated by the flames of racial hatred that you personally fanned. How many more police officers will be injured or die in the coming days because of the perilous conditions you helped create in this nation. You, President Obama and Al Sharpton own this problem lock, stock and barrel and now it is your legacy.

As thousands of NYPD officers turn their collective back on New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, another dishonest politician and Sharpton disciple, so too do countless Federal law enforcement officers turn our backs on you.
