House Intel Cmte Chairman: Obama Has No Plan to Stop ISIS

Obama has been claiming that the US has been doing everything we can possibly do to push back against ISIS in the Middle East, yet we haven’t been arming the Kurds adequately, nor have we been helping Jordan as well as we should:

King Abdullah of Jordan wants US lawmakers to speed delivery of sophisticated weaponry to fight the Islamic State after the group burned one of its military pilots to death.

Abdullah huddled with several US congressional committees on Tuesday before heading home early after the release of an Islamic State video showing Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burned to death in a cage.

Abdullah huddled with several US congressional committees on Tuesday before heading home early after the release of an Islamic State video showing Jordanian pilot Moaz al-Kasasbeh being burned to death in a cage.

In those closed-door sessions, Abdullah expressed frustration with the length of time it takes weapon sales to weave through the complex labyrinth that is the American federal bureaucracy.

Senate Armed Services Committee (SASC) Chairman Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., told reporters Wednesday that Abdullah asked specifically for “more sophisticated air-to-ground weaponry, ground-to-ground weaponry, weapons like anti-tank, [and] spare parts.”

Megyn Kelly had on the new head of the House Intel Committee Devin Nunes, to discuss the US response (or lack thereof) to the Islamic State.

She asked him if the US has indeed  been doing everything it should be doing, as Obama claimed.

“Nothing could be further from the truth, he answered. “In fact, he isn’t even admitting who the enemy is or where the enemy’s located.”

Nunes said that ISIS has been spreading across North Africa and that there’s no plan in place to deal with that.

“It’s what I like to call strategic incoherence,” he said.

He said that he just met with “Egyptians and Libyans who are begging for Congress’s help because they’re not getting anywhere with the White House or the State Department in terms of actually the president admitting that al Qaeda/radicalism/ISIS  is running amuk in their countries.”

Nunes continued, “if it wouldn’t have been for two reporters getting their heads cut off, I don’t think this White House would have ever engaged, and our closest ally in Iraq – the folks we’ve been able to count on – the Kurds – would have been overrun.”

Fox News: UAE stops flying airstrike missions against ISIS…

A key Arab partner in the U.S.-led coalition against the Islamic State stopped flying airstrike missions over Syria after a Jordanian pilot — who was later killed — was shot down in December, senior U.S. officials and diplomats from the region told Fox News.

The decision is a setback for the coalition, even as another member, Jordan, vows to ramp up airstrikes in the wake of its pilot being brutally executed by the Islamist terror group. The Obama administration, though, is facing mounting pressure to move more quickly to provide military equipment to Jordan to help the country respond.

MANILA TRAINING CENTER, Iraq — Hundreds of Christian men are picking up rifles for the first time at a former U.S. military facility in the hills of northeast Iraq and training to reclaim their towns from Islamic State militants who stormed the country last year.

Fresh recruits to a new Iraqi Christian militia said their families were abandoned to militants by government forces last summer and they seek to create a force that will keep their towns and villages safe even after Islamic State is defeated. “I want to defend our own lands, with our own force,” said Nasser Abdullah, 26 years old, who is helping lead younger recruits in training.
