Well, that White House Summit to counter “violent extremism” is going about as badly as we expected it would. Which is to say – it’s an obscene travesty – a slow motion train wreck horrifying and fascinating to us at the same time. I’d say it’s a complete waste of time, but it’s worse than that because the Regime refuses to correctly diagnosis the problem, so the wrong remedies are being prescribed.
And as fully expected, they are ludicrously trying to give equal time to “Christian” violent extremist groups.
Via Twitchy, Obama shows the world just how profoundly and grotesquely he has misdiagnosed the problem in an oped in today’s Los Angeles Times (timed to coincide with the CVE Summit.)
More broadly, groups like al Qaeda and ISIL exploit the anger that festers when people feel that injustice and corruption leave them with no chance of improving their lives. The world has to offer today’s youth something better.
Governments that deny human rights play into the hands of extremists who claim that violence is the only way to achieve change. Efforts to counter violent extremism will only succeed if citizens can address legitimate grievances through the democratic process and express themselves through strong civil societies. Those efforts must be matched by economic, educational and entrepreneurial development so people have hope for a life of dignity.
Nowhere does the lure of joining Islamic Jihad and expanding the Islamic caliphate (for it’s own sake) enter into the president’s calculation. This has nothing at all to do with Islam, the PC/Taqiyya crowd will tell you. As far as they are concerned, universal health care coverage and midnight basketball are better answers to the Jihadist threat than bombs.
ISIS/Daesh fighters on the ground, may laugh and sneer at this point of view (“Like a pig covered in feces giving hygiene advice to others,” one tweeted)- but in faculty lounges in America I’m guessing it’s the “smart take.”
Meanwhile, as I’ve already noted in a previous post – look at the people they have invited to participate in this travesty.
Via The Washington Free Beacon, Muslim Leader Who Called Israel a ‘Suspect’ After 9/11 Meets with Biden at White House
A controversial U.S. Muslim leader who has been highly critical of Israel and said the Jewish state should be on the “suspect list” in the wake of the 9/11 terror attacks participated on Tuesday in a White House summit on Countering Violent Extremism (CVE) that featured Vice President Joe Biden.
Salam Al-Marayati, founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), tweeted out a photo of himself at the White House with Biden and bragged, “We joined VP @JoeBiden for a discussion at the @WhiteHouse #CVESummit which kicked off today.”
Al-Marayati has been viewed as a controversial figure due to past statements characterized by his critics as anti-Israel and soft on terrorism.
Al Marayati’s group MPAC also tweeted out their delight that “Biden just talked about the right wing militias & supremacist groups that are violent in the name of the Bible,” during Biden’s talk, yesterday.

And
And
And
Almost as if on cue, Marie Harf came out and asked why no one talks about Kony anymore – who she described as a violent Christian extremist.
And if you’ve never heard Kony described as a Christian – it’s because the nationalist/mystic/far Eastern/voodoo brand of “Christianity” Kony practices is not what most people would consider Christian – and he has no worldwide network of Christian supporters.
Kony proclaims himself the spokesperson of God and a spirit medium, and has been considered by some as a cult of personality, and claims he is visited by a multinational host of 13 spirits, including a Chinese phantom.[2] Ideologically, the group is a syncretic mix of mysticism, Acholi nationalism, and Christian fundamentalism, and claims to be establishing a theocratic state based on the Ten Commandments and local Acholi tradition.
And as Walid Shoebat points out, Kony has been funded by the Muslim Government of Sudan for years and that government is led by none other than Omar al-Bashir, a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.
But consider this: Although Obama has no problem identifying Kony as a Christian violent extremist – he refuses to identify ISIS/Daesh or any other Islamic terrorists waging Jihad, as Muslim extremists.
And although Obama is loath to identify the victims of Islamic terror as Christians or Jews, because as Jen Psaki says “we are not going to put new labels on victims”, he has no compunction at all about identifying the “three young people” who were murdered in Chapel Hill, N.C., (by a left-wing, MSNBC-watching, SPLC supporting atheist) as “Muslim Americans.”
And how the president does go on in his LA Times oped:
But we know that many Muslim Americans across our country are worried and afraid. Americans of all faiths and backgrounds must continue to stand united with a community in mourning and insist that no one should ever be targeted because of who they are, what they look like, or how they worship.
Because Muslims in America – the land of the free – have it just so – so incredibly hard.
The Christians of Nigeria, North Sudan, Egypt, Iraq, Syria, and that Christian Pastor rotting in an Iranian prison (none of whom this president deigns worth writing about or wasting his breath on) only wish they had it as “hard.”
Obama constantly betrays his approval of Islam with his preferential treatment of Muslims and open contempt for Christians and Jews -which at this point is difficult to see as anything but anti-Christian bigotry and antisemitism.

“Let’s not get up on our high horse,” Obama says.
This week, the White House is hosting an international conference on “countering violent extremism.” The administration promises that the conference will “work to address the underlying conditions that can help foster violent extremism such as poverty, inequality, and repression. This means supporting alternatives to extremist messaging and greater economic opportunities for women and disaffected youth.” What “extremist messaging” would that be? The Christian Science Monitor?
This is gibberish. The administration uses language to impede thought rather than to elucidate it — which suits the jihadis very well.
Breitbart National Security: EXTREMISTS ATTENDING OBAMA’S ‘COUNTERING EXTREMISM’ SUMMIT:
As we expected and warned, the Islamic Society of Boston’s (ISB) Cambridge mosque – the radical Muslim Brotherhood front group attended by the Boston Marathon bombers – was invited to join the summit and is represented there by its executive director, Nichole Mossalam. A few days ago, in Breitbart News and the Washington Times, we reported how over the past decade, 12 of the ISB’s worshippers have either been killed, imprisoned, or declared fugitives due to their involvement in terrorist activity. In the aftermath of the Boston Marathon bombings, Ms. Mossalam told media outlets that the ISB urged members to contact law enforcement “immediately after the bombings in case they knew of anyone who might have been involved.”
In reality, the ISB sent out the first email about the bombings to its members a full seven days after the Marathon was blown up, urging them not to talk to the FBI without first contacting the ACLU and the ISB. The ISB wrote: “We have been informed that the FBI may be starting to question some of the community members about the two suspects. Insha’Allah we want to help as much as we can, but of course not put ourselves at risk either. Seeking representation does not imply any guilt on your part but is simply a way of protecting your own rights.”
Nabeel Khudairi is the other deeply problematic individual taking part in the White House CVE Summit. Khudairi is a Boston ophthalmologist and leader of two other extremist groups – the Islamic Council of New England and the Islamic Center of New England. In 2007, our organization, Americans for Peace and Tolerance (APT), successfully subpoenaed a variety of documents from Nabeel Khudairi during the Islamic Society of Boston’s failed defamation suit against Boston’s Fox 25, the Boston Herald, and us. In its complaint, the ISB alleged that it had been defamed by our reporting on its extensive ties to Islamic extremism. The ISB was ultimately forced to drop the lawsuit after subpoenas like the one pursued against Khudairi not only supported our original claims, but also began exposing even more of the mosque’s extremist links.
From what I understand from today’s speech from boy wonder. He had “total recall” when it came to the religion of the murders of the three students in North Carolina. Unlike when his statement “missed” the religious affiliation of the 21 Copts who were slaughtered in Libya.
I missed the speech today myself. . . I ran out of duct tape to wrap my head up, so I passed. Their selective memory and idiocy are going to get a lot of innocent people killed.
This is community organizing/Saul Alinsky 101 in all it’s glory.

Nice job laying it all out, Nice Deb. To my fellow Americans that voted for this, what the hell were you thinking? To the world, on behalf of all Americans who were never fooled by this, I apologize. To those being slaughtered by the muslim scourge unleashed by obama, I’m ashamed of what has been done by this administration.

I think the “Choom Gang” has been holding regular meetings at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue by the sound of things.
