Gateway Pundit: Former U.S. Ambassador: “Nobody Believes Obama On Iran” (VIDEO)
Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) lambasted the nation’s top military commander on “America’s Newsroom” this morning. Speaking at a news conference yesterday, Gen. Martin Dempsey, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was asked about reports that the city of Ramadi, Iraq, is in danger of falling to ISIS. Dempsey appeared to be downplaying the significance of Ramadi falling into ISIS’ hands. “The city itself is not symbolic in any way. It’s not been declared part of the caliphate on one hand or central to the future of Iraq. … The issue here is not brick and mortar. It’s about defeating ISIL. I would much rather that Ramadi not fall but it won’t be the end of a campaign should it fall. We gotta get it back,” he said. Dempsey added that protecting the oil-rich city of Baiji, in northern Iraq, is the higher priority right now.

If the Americans want to work with Shia militias that are not too cozy with Iran, and they do, they may wind up in bed with Moqtada Sadr.
Sudden setbacks around the strategic city of Ramadi in Iraq have blown a hole in the recent optimism of the Pentagon and the Baghdad government. The war against the so-called Islamic State, widely known as ISIS or ISIL, looks like it is going to be a long one, and the critical undecided question remains: “Who’s going to fight it?”
The Daily Beast: Why Won’t Obama Help My Syrian Christian Family?
Christians, like my family, have been desperately trying to smuggle themselves out of Syria as ISIS tells them to convert or die and the White House ignores their desperate plight.
*** Recently, ISIS has attacked Christian families that were not able to leave or refused to leave their historic land in northeastern Syria. The region was controlled by Kurds, Christians, and moderate Sunni groups. However, due to the lack of sufficient arms, ISIS was able to capture a large part of that region. Hundreds of well-trained foreign jihadists have attacked Christian villages, taking tens of civilians as hostages. The ancient archaeological history in many areas have been destroyed by the savages of ISIS. The West seems to be helpless in helping the Syrian Christian community there. The Christians are not fleeing the death that they are facing in their historic lands, neither are they being armed in order to defend themselves.
