Video: Carly Fiorina Shines on Fox News’ Special Report

…And Carly Fiorina continues to impress.

She was a guest on Fox News’ Special Report where she expertly handled every question they threw at her. Fiorina isn’t just conversant on topics from ObamaCare to the Middle East policy – she’s fluent.

Carly has the rare ability to answer tough questions without missing a beat – and she speaks quickly – but not like Democrat guests often do when they just want to stupefy the listener with a lot of dumb liberal cliches and meaningless phrases. Her well-thought out answers are jam packed with substance and command of the subject matter. Carly comes to interviews prepared.

She handled questions about her qualifications and economic policy with the aplomb of someone who has already been tested along those lines many times. (She has.)

In answer to George Will’s question on Iran, Fiorina showed that she is also a heavyweight on foreign policy.

“I would make two phone calls day one in the Oval Office,” she said. “The first would be to Bibi Netanyahu. The second would be to the supreme leader of Iran. And while he might not take my phone call – he would get the message – and the message would be, ‘until and unless you are prepared to open every nuclear facility, every uranium enrichment facility to full, unfettered, anytime, any way inspections, we will exact the most punishing financial sanctions we can.'”

She continued, “I would also take the recommendations of General James Mattis when he was commanding in the Middle East. He gave a whole set of recommendations to the White House on how to push back against Iran’s proxies – we haven’t done any of them. We haven’t executed a single one of those recommendations.”

[Obama fired General James Mattis, the head of Central Command at the beginning of his second term – January of 2013 – reportedly without even calling the general to let him know he was being replaced.

“I am told that General Mattis was travelling and in a meeting when an aide passed him a note telling him that the Pentagon had announced his replacement as head of Central Command. It was news to him — he hadn’t received a phone call or a heads-up from anyone at the Pentagon or the White House,” Thomas E. Ricks reports.

In another post, Ricks says Mattis was fired because:

Pentagon insiders say that he rubbed civilian officials the wrong way — not because he went all “mad dog,” which is his public image, and the view at the White House, but rather because he pushed the civilians so hard on considering the second- and third-order consequences of military action against Iran. Some of those questions apparently were uncomfortable. Like, what do you do with Iran once the nuclear issue is resolved and it remains a foe? What do you do if Iran then develops conventional capabilities that could make it hazardous for U.S. Navy ships to operate in the Persian Gulf? He kept saying, “And then what?”

So the fact that Mattis was competent, had definite ideas about how to handle Iran, wanted to be prepared for any and every contingency – made him persona non grata in Obama’s FUBAR Regime.]

In the last part of the interview Carly was asked about her political strategy. She doesn’t see her lack of political experience as a handicap because so many Americans now think we have a “professional political class more focused on power and privilege than doing the people’as work.”

“That is why people are paying attention,” she added, “because I don’t come from the political class – but I am a citizen with experience that’s relevant.”

Carly Fiorina’s New Ad Is Devastating

There’s a lot of buzz going on about this brutal new Carly Fiorina ad that was released yesterday. Fiorina has been extremely impressive on the stump and in interviews since the start of the year. She came out swinging at the Iowa Freedom Summit back in January, giving one of the best speeches. Now she has a new political ad out that just savages Hillary Clinton.

Via Allahpundit at Hot Air:

It’s three minutes long, which is about six times longer than an effective ad should be, but the length works here to underscore the point. Those long seconds of silence when someone’s asked to name a Clinton accomplishment feel even longer when you watch a string of people struggling with the question. It’s excruciating.

This is how it’s done, folks:

Damn, girl. That is going to leave a mark!

If this ad doesn’t earn Carly Fiorina the VP slot on the 2016 GOP ticket, there is no justice.

In fact – I haven’t decided yet who I’m voting for in my state’s Primary – but if Carly keeps it up, she may just get my vote,

Baltimore Cops Say They’re Giving the People What They Want – “a Softer, Less Aggressive Police Dept”

After six officers were indicted for their parts in the death of Freddie Gray, police in Baltimore, MD are in “reactionary mode” according to two cops who spoke out on CNN, anonymously, yesterday.

As a result of this timid approach to policing, Baltimore has seen violent crimes sky-rocket. With 42 murders in May, it was the deadliest month since 1972.

Asked what’s behind the uptick in the city’s crime rate, the officer explained that the police have been giving the people what they want – “a softer, less aggressive police department.”

Former LAPD detective Mark Fuhrman explained what is going on, several weeks ago on The Kelly File:

….they’re being very cautious about following all the rules. They know nobody’s got their back in the city government, their own police chief’s going to throw them under the bus – so they’re doing everything by the book – they’re answering the radio calls and they’re making no proactive stops. They’re not getting out and shaking people down, wondering what people are doing, searching people – looking for guns, drugs — they’re basically just answering the calls for service,” Fuhrman said.  “And this is exactly what the city government gets. They get a police department that answers the cat-in-the-tree call – and that’s it.”

The two officers who appeared on CNN reiterated those sentiments.

CNN’s Brooke Baldwin asked the cops what they thought of the death of Freddie Gray – if they thought the indicted officers had acted appropriately.

“They’ve done nothing different from what we’ve always done as police officers out on the street,” said the cop, speaking  anonymously. He added, “those types of arrests happen on a daily basis.”

Used to happen, that is. Back when keeping the public safe through proactive policing was not frowned upon. Now – thanks to our first black president, our brave new race-obsessed DOJ on down to the poverty pimps serving on big city councils – police take a back seat to racial grievances. Criminals have been empowered while police have become persona non grata.

Asked what’s behind the uptick in the city’s crime rate, the officer explained that the police are basically giving the people what they want – “a softer, less aggressive police department.”

“The criminal element feels as though that we’re not going to run the risk of chasing them if they are armed with a gun, and they’re using this opportunity to settle old beefs, or scores, with people that they have conflict with,” the officer said. “I think the public really, really sees that they asked for a softer, less aggressive police department, and we have given them that, and now they are realizing that their way of thinking does not work.”

Both said the Baltimore Police Department is simply reacting to events instead of being proactive. They talked about feeling abandoned by their leadership and feeling scared — not about being hurt, necessarily, but about being charged criminally for doing what they see as their job. Six officers have been charged in Gray’s death, which has been ruled a homicide.

“Ultimately, it does a disservice to the law-abiding citizens. It does a disservice to the business owners. It does a disservice to everybody except the criminal element,” the second officer said about operating in reactive mode.

He denied the existence of a work slowdown but said he couldn’t promise proactive policing.

“Even though you have reasonable suspicion,” he said, “nine out of 10 times, that officer is going to keep on driving.”

This is a direct result of our president’s anti-police policies.

Common Tater Bill Mahr!!

The Noisy Room : Bill Maher for smearing Rush Limbaugh and offending just about everyone this week with his skit on Caitlyn Jenner. Maher should know about has-beens and dicks. I mean, he is both. Seriously… does anyone think this evil moonbat is funny? He’s detestable. He’s right on one thing though, Bruce (I refuse to call him Caitlyn) Jenner is not Rosa Parks. I don’t think he really knows who he is. He seems to have been confused his whole life. He went from Olympic gold medalist, to reality TV patriarch, to a woman and a joke in the span of his lifetime. Now, he’s landed a lucrative cosmetic gig at the hot age of 65. And America is fixated on this farce. Because no one wants to pay attention to our rights being shredded or to an impending World War when you can watch a rich athlete, who has scuzzy celebrities for family, morph into a woman and the icon for transgenderism. Wow, now I really get why Rome fell.

Maher just loves to offend everyone. But while he’s telling others to kiss his arse, he can kiss mine. He’s an unfunny, evil little goblin clown with his own car. I just love the way he goes on about Jenner and smears Limbaugh while he’s at it. But if he’s going to talk about making his Johnson disappear, he doesn’t need to. He doesn’t have one – he just is one. His audience laughs and applauds away at his crassness. Before calling others perverts and freaks the way he does of Hastert and the Duggars (while slamming Christianity), he should take a long look in the mirror. His schtick covered transgenders, gays, child molesters, female Viagra and politics. What wholesome entertainment from an ignorant, twisted little man. It disturbs me that so many watch him and it speaks volumes on the degradation of America. He’s the weasely icon of the Left with slicked back hair and a vile personality.

No way I’m going to try and follow that one by the Noisy Room! I’m even afraid it will slip out that I used to enjoy ‘Politically Incorrect ‘ now and then, back when I still watched TV! Believe it or not Mahr’s frequent guest on that show was none other than Arianna Huffington, whose politics back then made Ronald Reagan’s look center Left. She’s definitely done a 180. Of course, Bill Mahr was a lot funnier back then too.

Mr. Mahr please step up for your Weasel!

Well, there it is!

Check back next Tuesday to see who next week’s nominees for Weasel of the Week are!
