Christie and Fiorina Out

Can’t say I’m going to miss Christie, but Fiorina I liked. Unfortunately, her campaign struggled to gain traction after some early success in the debates.

Following disappointing finishes in Iowa and New Hampshire, former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina has suspended her presidential campaign.

“This campaign was always about citizenship—taking back our country from a political class that only serves the big, the powerful, the wealthy, and the well connected,” Fiorina posted minutes ago on her Facebook page. “Election after election, the same empty promises are made and the same poll-tested stump speeches are given, but nothing changes. I’ve said throughout this campaign that I will not sit down and be quiet. I’m not going to start now.”

“While I suspend my candidacy today, I will continue to travel this country and fight for those Americans who refuse to settle for the way things are and a status quo that no longer works for them.”

Fiorina was angry after being shut out of last Saturday’s presidential debate, calling it “an utter disgrace for our party and for our democracy” in an email to supporters. She said ABC refused to let her campaign even buy a commercial during the debate.

Now, if Kasich, Bush and Carson drop out after SC,  hopefully, voters will be able to consolidate behind a non-Trump candidate and put a stop to his insane clown posse of a campaign. No disrespect to you Trump fans out there. I just don’t think he’s conservative or even particularly Republican, and I don’t think he’d make a very good president.

But “not very good” beats what the Democrats are offering this year (and any year), so I’d actually support Trump in the general, albeit cautiously, haltingly, tentatively, and probably regretfully.

  1. Boy there’s a fork in our roads here ND.

First Fiorina was whack-glad she’s gone-she was a terrible CEO-I’d have no confidence in her running the executive branch. She supported H1-B visas, offered nothing but platitudes on immigration and is against deporting those here illegally.

No way is Jeb! dropping out. The GOPe have over $100 million invested in him and they’ll drag him to the convention if they have to. His policy positions are worse then Carlys’.

Carson is a dead man walking-again, I never had any confidence in him to run the executive branch-nice man but definitely is not presidential material.

Rubio is a liar. Period. He has a long record of telling people one thing and doing the opposite just like he did when he ran for the US Senate. I heard him say he was against amnesty and the first thing he does is join the Gang of Eight. Then when he said he had changed his mind and was no longer in favor of amnesty, he turned right around and told a group, in Spanish, that he was in favor of amnesty. It’s typical Rubio.

He’s so bad, I would have to be carried into the voting booth, drunk on my butt, to vote for him if he got the nod.

Cruz? Yikes, another liar. He was the first to announce, 6 months before Trump and until Trump made immigration THE issue(do we have a country or not?) all Cruz had to say were more platitudes. I’d still vote for him over any REgressive but it’d be another shite sammich ala McCain, Romney, GHW and Dole. He hasn’t created one jog and has no experience in the private sector. And if you think Heidi’s employment at G/S is just some coincident, take a look at her time in the North American Union and the CFR-sorry but second time shame on me.

Kasich is another GOPe operative. He’s in it strictly to take out Trump/Cruz. You watch, he’s going to get some cash to carry on to at least SC and maybe NV then he dumps any delegates he has to Jeb or Rubio.

Trump is the one candidate that has directly addressed the policies that are turning our country into something unrecognizable. He’s the one that said forcefully, we’re building a wall. He’s the one that has said no more trade deficits that add up to millions of lost jobs. He’s there one that has said of “syrian refugees”, they’re going back. He has the executive experience. He’s the only one without multi million dollar donors pulling his strings. He’s shown how how he will not wilt in the face of this war on woman crap from Hillary. He’s polling 25% of the black vote-no way Cruz will even come close to that

Yes he can be crude. Yes there are things like ethanol, where I’m in disagreement. But unless we stop this moslim invasion and get a handle on the 30 million illegals here, our country as we’ve known it, is gone.

  2. There is nothing to miss from Gov Crisco. The biggest service he ever provided was knee capping Rubio. He is a typical northeast lib, only with a much bigger mouth.

    He expanded Medicaid in NJ
He accepted Common Core, renamed it and promoted it.
    He signed Gun Legislation
    Nine fiscal down grades
Gave away the NJ Senate seat to Booker by holding a separate election
    Lib Court appointments
As the head of the RGA, he refused funds to Rob Astorino who was running ……….against Cuomo in NY
The Bully/Tony Soprano act doesn’t play very well outside of Jersey

But atlas, I’m sure just like the bad nickel, he’ll manage to pop up somewhere else……I’m sure NO less humble.

Carly for a few fading moments showed some real potential but it wasn’t nearly enough to carry her anywhere. Her HP past was bound to eventually hurt her just like it did when she ran against Boxer in California.

I expect by the time the dust settles in South Carolina, the field will be whittled down to a serious few a the others fall by the way side. The biggest question by then will be…..are Rubio and Jeb vain enough to head into their home state of Florida and embarrass themselves with a 3rd and 4th place showing (or worse) if the current polls are correct.

  3. For all you Trumpeters, here’s all you need to know about him: He was an original Truther, and the only people who were/are Truthers are extreme-left socialist whack jobs.

So he wants to “make America great again?” Remember, Hitler wanted to make Germany “great again,” too, and we all know how THAT turned out.

Stop listening to what he wants you to hear, and LISTEN to what he says, with all the blanks filled in. He’s a dangerous, unstable person whose agenda is in his past, not in his present speeches.
