The Mama Grizzley’s Still Got It: Sarah Palin Rocks #CPAC2014

There’s a reason why Sarah Palin is able to snag the primo keynote speaking spot at conservative events five years after she left elected office. The woman gives a speech like none other. The pitbull with lipstick that we fell in love with at the 2008 Republican  Convention, has still got it.

Packed with Palin’s trademark zingers and a highly entertaining reading of her own special version of Green eggs and ham, Palin had the CPAC crowd on their feet roaring with approval.

It was  fun watching this in person:

I do not like this Uncle Sam, I do not like his healthcare scam.   I do not like these dirty crooks or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals. I do not like their crony deals. I do not like this spying, man. I do not like, ‘oh yes we can.’ I do not like this spending spree. We’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope and we wont take it…

nope, nope, nope.

WaPo Lib Taken in By Satire Site’s Post About Sarah Palin

A few weeks ago, the same site fooled libs a number of libs on the internet when it ran a story claiming that  Ann Coulter caused a ruckus, and refused to board a plane because the pilot was a black female.

Hello libs, if headlines like Sean Hannity Says Obama ‘Sabotaged’ Super Bowl, and  Glenn Beck Calls 911 After Accidentally Eating Halal Pizza don’t tip you off that something’s awry, remember the name – “The Daily Currant.” It’s a satire site.
Iowahawk had fun with this story at the Conversation:

Something called “Suzi Parker” who writes something called “She The People” at something called “The Washington Post” bagged the scoop of the century earlier today, in a report originally entitled “Sarah Palin’s plan to reach ‘millions of devoutly religious people’ through al-Jazeera“:

The Sarah Palin Story is a cautionary tale about what can happen when politics and celebrity meet.

Fox News and their once-upon-a-time darling Palin recently parted ways after three years. But never fear. Palin has a new media outlet by which to share her commentary.

Late last week Al Jazeera America announced the former vice-presidential candidate would be joining their news network. Al Jazeera America recently bought Al Gore’s failing Current Media that broadcasts the Current TV channel. Ironically, Fox News recently called Al Jazeera “an anti-American terror mouthpiece.”

“As you all know, I’m not a big fan of newspapers, journalists, news anchors and the liberal media in general,” Palin told the Web site The Daily Currant. “But I met with the folks at Al-Jazeera and they told me they reach millions of devoutly religious people who don’t watch CBS or CNN. That tells me they don’t have a liberal bias.”

Get it? Sarah Palin’s so stoopid she didn’t know that the devoutly religious people Al Jazeera reaches are Muslims!

The Suzi Parker story is actually a cautionary tale about what can happen when politics and liberal bias and gullibility meet.

Parker not so smoothly tried to correct her gaffe with a correction that still included a nasty dig at Palin:

UPDATE:

An earlier version of this post incorrectly reported that Sarah Palin planned to contribute to the Al Jazeera America news network.

The original article was titled “Sarah Palin’s plan to reach ‘millions of devoutly religious people’ through al-Jazeera.” The amended now reads “Sarah Palin tries to stay relevant.”

As you can imagine, Parker’s taking a beating in the Post’s comment section:

“LOL, look how stupid that woman is! … Wait. What?”

LOL…WaPo struggling to stay relevant…

New verb: Reporters who report parody articles as news have been “Onioned”.

What’s next Suzi? Is Al Gore joining Fox News?

Hey, Suzi, I just heard Palin has signed on to become the spokeswoman for the crab people who live at the center of the earth and are planning on conquering the surface world.  Be sure to mention that without checking it out in your next hit piece, you dimwitted hack.

Looks like if Suzi dropped a few pounds, she might be as hot as Sarah Palin.

Nice job Suzi! I got a picture of Palin in bikini holding an assault weapon you might be interested in too. Geez!

“Palin-Power”: Bristol’s Post Melts Down Server at Patheos, Over 100,000 Shares, Over 1,700 comments, Reported on by MSM and Hollywood …

Via Conservatives 4 Palin,   NRO’s David French, who is married to the editor of Patheos, describes the server melt-down there, yesterday.

Nancy tweeted it to her few hundred followers (she and I have a rather pathetic contest for twitter followers; right now I’m barely in the lead with a whopping 776), and Bristol facebooked it. Within hours, it had been shared 8,000 times. Already it was taking off.

Then Sarah Palin tweeted.

Patheos’s server promptly melted down. One of the most-trafficked religious sites on the web, its server still spontaneously combusted. A small mushroom cloud was spotted over the server farm. Eleven additional servers had to be brought online to handle the traffic flow, and by the end of the day, 8,000 shares had turned into more than 85,000 (update: 100,000), and the story of Bristol’s challenge to the president had been reported not just in the political and mainstream media but also in the Hollywood media as well. Thousands of tweets, and tens of thousands more Facebook shares from Fox to the Huffington Post to the Hollywood Reporter took the post well beyond the familiar and comfortable enclaves of the conservative blogosphere.

That, in essence, is Palin power. No other name in the conservative movement can instantly break through the wall of separation between conservative punditry and popular culture. Bristol powerfully and concisely told the truth — and reached an audience so large it resides only in most pundits’ wildest dreams.

Bristol Palin’s well thought out and well written post at Patheos struck a chord with people because they’re disgusted with the gross double standards they see in public discourse. As Bristol says in her latest blog post, Responding to the Viral Sensation, Loving my Brother:

The very people who call out for “civility” in our conversations ignore the hatred that spills out of their friends, allies, and million-dollar donors.

She gets it.

Of course she does. She’s a Palin, and has thus seen her family jerked around the center of an institutional left-fueled sh*t-storm on too many occasions to count.

Incidentally,  “Loving My Brother” is part of her latest headline as a response to the many vicious attacks on Trig that have been seen in the comment section of her viral post.

You can see that Bill Maher is not some lone comedian with a unique perspective on us. Rather, he taps into something evil and dark that resides in the hearts of many people who hate our family. Even after so many years, I’m still a little surprised when people make fun of my little brother. They, however, can’t silence me or my mom. In fact, they motivate us to keep speaking. Evil can’t win!

Responding to the “You’re comparing apples to oranges” argument, (” a comedian pretty much can say what they want. Limbaugh actually represents the Republican Party”), Palin says:

Bill Maher is much more than a comedian. He’s a big-time political player who hides behind the “comedian” label whenever he gets criticized. His guest list represents a huge chunk of the Washington establishment and sometimes even includes prominent Republicans. And as I said in my original post, he’s put himself straight in the middle of presidential politics by giving $1,000,000 to President Obama’s SuperPAC. Bill Maher isn’t just some guy behind a microphone in a seedy comedy club in the middle of nowhere. He’s a comedian and political commentator like Rush is an entertainer and political commentator. He’s a little bit less popular, but his professional failure compared to Rush doesn’t make him any less accountable for his vile speech.

See how neatly she stuck the shiv in Maher’s ribs, there, in ‘Cuda -like fashion? Clearly, Bristol Palin is more than just a pretty face.

A writer for Yahoo News, L. Vincent Poupard, applauded Palin for setting up the perfect “Catch 22” for the President.

Due to Palin’s blog, the ball is in President Obama’s court. If he calls her, it will appear to be due to the pressure by the right to treat her the same way he treated Fluke. The former vice-presidential candidate’s daughter made a statement in her blog about the president being the president of all Americans and not just Democrats.

If the president does not call her, it will solidify the thought he let Maher get away with the comments made due to the donation and the comedian’s political leanings. It will show a double standard of how it is OK for a public figure to say anything he or she wants as long as he or she is a liberal and makes contributions toward the Democrat reelection funds.

We might see the buddings of a political career in the young Palin. She was able to send a challenge and set a trap at the same time for President Obama. While many politicians try to do this on a daily basis, few can be as successful as the young reality star could be. Bristol wins no matter what happens.

On the flip side, Obama loses no matter what happens.

Well played, Miss Palin.

I for one, look forward to many more blog-posts from the budding star.

Video: Sarah Palin’s CPAC 2012 Speech

Palin brought an anti-establishment and anti-Obama message to her first CPAC presentation, and as expected, she rocked the house.

Listen closely at the 7:00 minute mark for the “mike check!” An occupier tried to get something started, but was immediately drowned out by CPACers chanting USA! USA! He was  surrounded by security, and escorted out in a heartbeat.

Another Standing O For Newt As He Nukes CNN’s John King Over Open Marriage Question at SC GOP Debate

Holy Moly. Sarah Palin was right. This afternoon on the Sean Hannity radio show, she said the MSM had “overplayed their hand” and  predicted that Gingrich was “gonna soar even more” as Republican voters, increasingly wise to the MSM’s unfair double standards,  rally to his side over ABC’s decision to air the interview with his ex-wife Marianne, tonight.

When John King started off the CNN debate with a question to Gingrich about the salacious, bombshell interview,  he cut loose. And the audience was with him every step of the way:

Video via Buzzfeed.

Listening to John King and the CNN panel which includes Ari Fleischer, Gloria Borger, Erick Erickson David Gergen, and Donna Brazile after the debate. They all seemed to agree that the question had to be asked – it was hanging in the air, and King said he didn’t want to sneak it in somewhere in the middle of the debate.  He made the decision to just clear the air at the outset which seems fair to me if you agree with the premise that the question was fair game for a debate. I’m not sure that I agree that it was an appropriate question for a debate. In 2007 and 2008 did anyone bother to ask Obama about his past drug use at a debate? How about the notorious Rashid Khalidi farewell dinner attended by Obama that was rumored to be an anti-Semitic hate fest. There was quite a bit of  buzz about the LA times sitting on a tape of that dinner – and maybe it would have cleared the air a little if someone had asked Obama about it. Did they bring up Obama’s membership in  the Socialist “New Party” back in in Illinois?

To his credit, George Stephanopolus did ask Obama about his relationships with Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers. Of course, by April 2008, Obama had carefully rehearsed answers to those questions.

Isn’t He The Funny One…Obama Jokes That It’s Too Hot For Golf…

And here I was thinking that Dear Leader was skipping golf these last few weeks because it was looking incredibly crass for him to continue playing a “rich man’s game” while the country is going bankrupt.

Nope, it’s just too hot for golfing, apparently:

At the beginning of today’s 11:00 am debt negotiations meeting, President Obama and Speaker Boehner engaged in light banter about the sport they both love to play on weekends.

“I think everybody agrees it’s too hot to play golf today,” Obama told Boehner.

Little if anything was accomplished at the meeting with the Congressional leaders who were  “summoned” to the White House, this morning:

US President Barack Obama met with leading members of congress on Saturday to forge agreement on the balance of tax and spending cuts that Republicans will accept if they are to agree to raise the level that the government is able to borrow.

“The bipartisan leadership in congress is committed to working on new legislation that will prevent default while substantially reducing Washington spending,” said Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell after the 50-minute meeting.
Top Republican leaders broke off negotiations with Obama on Friday aimed at raising Washington’s $14-trillion (9.75 trillion-euro) debt ceiling, just 11 days before a default deadline.

The White House on Saturday urged Congress to “refrain from playing reckless political games” with the economy.

“Reckless political games”. That’s a good one coming from  guy who refused for three years to release his “long form” birth certificate, fought it in court, watched as half the country questioned his legitimacy, watched an army officer go to jail for insisting on answers, uh – ostensibly because it helped him politically for conservatives spin their wheels on the slippery issue..

Nothing weird or “recklessly political” about that, at all.

Speaking of weird….as you know, Obama’s throwing himself a lavish 50th birthday party/fundraiser, August 3rd. How crass and cultish is this thing going to be?

Well, since you asked…

ABC News’ Devin Dwyer (@devindwyer) reports: No gifts, please. Just your name will do.

That’s the message President Obama’s re-election campaign is pushing in an elaborate nationwide effort to expand the president’s grassroots network on his 50th birthday.

While aides plan a glitzy Aug. 3 fundraiser-bash for Obama at Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, organizers are encouraging thousands of supporters who can’t attend to plan and host house parties of their own.

The campaign has rolled out a website dedicated to promoting the parties — and a glossy 4-page, step-by-step guide that instructs would-be hosts on everything from “recruiting” attendees to electronically relaying participants’ personal information back to headquarters.

Who should be invited? “At least 50” friends and neighbors.

Where should it be held? “A quiet and focused place to talk and organize.”

When should it start?  “Sometime between 6:30 PM and 6:45 PM ET.”

Aides say Obama will deliver a live video message to house party attendees that will stream over the internet on hosts’ computers once the events are underway.

They’re also offering help with decorations, selling special “host packs” of birthday hats, buttons, balloons, stickers and signs, all emblazoned with a giant 5-0, “Happy Birthday,” and the campaign’s official logo.

The $150 Obama Birthday Host Pack has “everything you need for a party to grow this movement as you help President Obama ring in his 50th.”

With a contribution of $150, we’ll send you 50 balloons, 50 hats, 50 buttons, 200 stickers, 20 signs, and one limited-edition T-shirt to commemorate the event.

Aren’t you excited? Especially the part about the “live video message” from Dear Leader that will stream over the internet to hosts’ computers…..

You know what’s sad? Not just that we have a President who’s a raging narcissist, but that he has so many enablers, and still so many of Americans who are willing to vote for him.

It would certainly be a terrible shame if his very special day had to be postponed because of the Republicans’ reckless political maneuvering.

Sarah Palin, whose eagle eyes don’t miss a thing, pounded Obama on her Facebook page, Friday,  calling him a “lame-duck President”:

After listening to the President’s press conference today, let’s keep in mind the following:

This is the same president who proposed an absurdly irresponsible budget that would increase our debt by trillions of dollars, and whose party failed to even put forward a budget in over 800 days! This is the same president who is pushing our country to the brink because of his reckless spending on things like the nearly trillion dollar “stimulus” boondoggle. This is the same president who ignored his own debt commission’s recommendations and demonized the voices of fiscal sanity who proposed responsible plans to reform our entitlement programs and rein in our dangerous debt trajectory. This is the same president who wanted to push through an increase in the debt ceiling that didn’t include any cuts in government spending! This is the same president who wants to slam Americans with tax hikes to cover his reckless spending, but has threatened to veto a bill proposing a balanced budget amendment. This is the same president who hasn’t put forward a responsible plan himself, but has rejected reasonable proposals that would tackle our debt. This is the same president who still refuses to understand that the American electorate rejected his big government agenda last November. As I said in Madison, Wisconsin, at the Tax Day Tea Party rally, “We don’t want it. We can’t afford it. And we are unwilling to pay for it.”

Now the President is outraged because the GOP House leadership called his bluff and ended discussions with him because they deemed him an obstruction to any real solution to the debt crisis.

He has been deemed a lame duck president. And he is angry now because he is being treated as such.

His foreign policy strategy has been described as “leading from behind.” Well, that’s his domestic policy strategy as well. Why should he be surprised that he’s been left behind in the negotiations when he’s been leading from behind on this debt crisis?

Thank you, GOP House leaders. Please don’t get wobbly on us now.

2012 can’t come soon enough.

– Sarah Palin

She hit on all the relevant points, there, and I agree with every word of it – especially the “2012 can’t come soon enough” part.

UPDATE:

After Reid followed Obama’s lead, accusing Boehner and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) of “intransigence” in their approach to the debt talks, Boehner says a “two stage” process is now inevitable:

It is not “physically possible” to get everything done before the Treasury Department’s August 2 deadline for raising the debt ceiling, Boehner said on Fox News Sunday. “There is going to be a two stage process.”

“I don’t want to get anywhere close to [default],” he said. “This is about what’s doable at the eleventh hour.”

Boehner also criticized President Obama for recommending a debt ceiling deal be timed to last beyond the next election season.

“The president’s worried about his next election, but my God, shouldn’t we be worried about the country?” Boehner said.
