Homeland Security Chief Met With Terror-Supporting Code Pinkos – Reportedly Asked For Medea Benjamin’s Autograph

medea-homeland-security.jpg.pagespeed.ic.GmwNsW1IADMedea Benjamin, left

Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson met for 40 minutes with leaders of  Code Pink at Homeland Security headquarters in Washington, D.C. on Monday. According to Susan ‘Medea’ Benjamin and Alli McCracken, in a post at their website, the Pink Tank, they were not searched, but the the participants had to pass a background check for the meeting, which they apparently passed.

Media Benjamin was not so lucky in Egypt, where she was briefly detained at the airport before she was unceremoniously booted out of the country, along with dozens of other international leftist and Islamist agitators. Benjamin’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood has rendered her persona non grata in Egypt, where MB is considered a terrorist group.

Her group played a role in violent demonstrations aimed at keeping Egypt’s previous Islamofascist president, Mohammed Morsi, who described Jews as the descendants of apes and pigs, firmly in power.

Using twisted logic, Code Pink and other left-wing anti-American groups link arms with Islamists, anti-Semites, and brutal dictators in order to advance their never-ending war against the United States. Code Pink’s fuchsia-clad activists wrap themselves in pretended humanitarianism and compassion in order to sell the group’s otherwise unpalatable support for the most repressive regimes in the world.

Benjamin and the others were  trying to enter Gaza through Egypt for a “women’s conference.”

More on Code Pinko’s ugly, subversive activities via Gateway Pundit:

Last summer Code Pink was in Yemen fundraising for family members of al Qaeda and detainees held by the U.S. at Guantanamo Bay.

In late 2004 Code Pink delivered $600,000 in cash and aid to what Benjamin called the families of “the other side” in Fallujah, Iraq as U.S. Marines, British and free Iraqi forces fought to liberate the city from al Qaeda.

The Egyptians may be on to Code Pink, but our Homeland Security Chief was happy to meet with them. According to their website, when Medea gave Johnson a copy of her book, Drone Warfare, he asked her to autograph it.

Sec. Johnson, according to the report, initially balked at meeting the entire group sending his chief of staff to inform them he would only meet with McCracken. As one would expect with Code Pink, tantrums were thrown drawing additional security until Sec. Johnson relented and showed up in the conference room where the group was waiting.

“Johnson and a young assistant rushed into the room. Johnson looked at Medea and asked, “Alli??” …We were off to a good start.

“He told us he had agreed to meet because he had seen CODEPINK “express our views in a variety of creative ways”–from his home to Congressional hearings to Medea’s disruption of President Obama’s speech in May of 2013. He said he believes in open dialogue and thought it would be good to hear us out.

“We spent the next 40 minutes talking about our concerns. Alli opened the meeting by telling the Secretary that the drone program that he legally sanctioned continues to kill innocent people abroad, including the targeting of a wedding party in Yemen in December. She told him about CODEPINK trips to Pakistan and Yemen, where we’ve met with innocent drone strike survivors who have related their harrowing stories and pointed out that there has yet to be any apology or compensation for the victims.”

“Tighe and Medea talked about the domestic use of drones. They asked why DHS is giving grants to police departments across the country to buy drones when there aren’t any regulations in place for their use and why drones along the border are being illegally lent to law enforcement agencies. They expressed the concern of civil liberties’ groups throughout the country about the invasion of our privacy that will come when our airspace is totally opened up to drones in the next year or two, and how DHS seems to be working with the drone industry to help them increase sales. Medea gave him a copy of her book Drone Warfare, which he asked her to autograph.”

Our country’s descent into madness is now complete.

Walid Shoebat: Malik Obama Scandal BLOWING UP in Egypt:

Recently, Dr. Sadek Raouf Ebeid, whose articles we have published in the past, appeared on a prominent Egyptian television program for nearly 20 minutes to discuss the case of Malik Obama. While there has essentially been both a mainstream and conservative media blackout in America on this scandal, it has captured the attention of tens of millions of Egyptians.

Here is an edited, shorter version of the intervies – with subtitles – between Ebeid and Al Kahera we Nas:

Prominent Arabic newspaper Al-Wafd also picked up on Ebeid’s interview (translated):

Sadek Raouf Ebeid, an Egyptian doctor in the U.S., implored the U.S. Congress to investigate the scandal involving Malik Obama, the brother of U.S. President Obama, saying that by providing Malik’s organization with American taxpayer dollars, the American people are also aiding Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir.

Ebeid, in a televised interview via telephone, said he had notified members of the U.S. Congress that according to the laws of the U.S., Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir is a war criminal, and is prohibited from entering the United States and that because Malik provides material support to al-Bashir, he too qualifies as an enemy combatant / terrorist.

The doctor pointed out that the U.S. authorities have overlooked the laws as they apply to the U.S. president’s brother.

 ***

Ebeid’s allegations were as follows:

  1. That President / General Omar Al-Bashir of Sudan is classified by the current White House and State Department as an enemy combatant and was denied an entry visa to the U.S. for posing a threat to America’s national interest and its homeland security.
  2. Malik Obama works for one of Al-Bashir’s largest organizations.
  3. Ebeid referred to the Military Commissions Act (MCA) of 2006, amended in 2009. This law deems anyone who provides an enemy combatant with material support, qualifies as an enemy combatant himself, even if he did not pick up arms against the U.S. himself. This would make Malik Obama an enemy combatant.
  4. Malik Obama’s Barack H. Obama Foundation (BHOF) was granted 501(c)(3) status to collect money from unwitting U.S. taxpayers, under false pretenses (EIN# 262461343). This status was granted by former IRS official, Lois Lerner. Both Ebeid and Emara highlighted the fact that the BHOF received its status on a Sunday (June 26, 2011). In the interview, Emara sarcastically stated that Lerner obviously, “…opened the office on a Sunday morning to give Malik what he wants.”

Correction:

An earlier version of this story misidentified the man standing on the right in the picture as Jeh Johnson. The man in the picture appears to be Tighe Barry.

Center For Security Policy Video: Reject Perez

The Center for Security Policy  has released a 20-minute video featuring comments by six prominent public policy experts urging the Senate to reject the nomination Thomas Perez,  Obama’s pick to become the next Secretary of Labor. This “virtual press conference” (VPC) offers a litany of extremely troubling behavior spanning the nominee’s career prior to and during his tenure in his current position as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights.

Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., President of the Center for Security Policy, hosts the VPC and addresses Perez’s leading role in the Obama administration-wide effort to embrace, legitimate and empower the Muslim Brotherhood and its operatives.
Chris Farrell, Director of Investigations at Judicial Watch, describes Perez’s radical political philosophy and conduct before and during his time in the Justice Department.
Anita MonCrief, who once was a member of the hard-left group, ACORN, and is now a voting integrity activist with True the Vote, discusses Perez’s troubling proclivities with respect to immigration and labor law stemming in part from his past-presidency of Casa de Maryland, an organization that helps illegal aliens violate federal statutes.
Hans von Spakovsky, former counsel to one of Perez’s predecessors as Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights, who decries the “toxic culture” and mismanagement inside that organization as a result of the incumbent’s leadership – and the prevarication he engaged in during the course of a highly critical examination of the Perez tenure by the Justice Department’s Inspector General.
Rosemary Jenks, Director of Government Relations at Numbers USA, who questions whether the Senate can responsibly entrust the U.S. Labor Department to an individual who has worked to enable illegal aliens to take jobs from American workers.
J. Christian Adams, a former career attorney in the U.S. Department of Justice’s Voting Section details various actions – some taken personally by Perez and others by his organization on his watch – that have subverted the principle of equal justice under the law.
On the occasion of the release of the Reject Perez video, Mr. Gaffney observed:
Tom Perez is perhaps the most controversial of President Obama’s nominees to Cabinet positions in his second administration – and that is saying something in light of the competition for that dubious distinction.  His past record and present mismanagement, if not actual malfeasance, at the Justice Department should disqualify him from serious consideration for not only the job of Secretary of Labor, but for any position of responsibility in the U.S. government.
His confirmation hearing is set for tomorrow.

Special Operations Speaks to Bob Beckel: “Say it to my face”

Special Operations Speaks to Bob Beckel:

Say it to my face.

Yesterday, Fox News’ “The Five” ran a segment on the military members who are taking action against President Barack Obama and his administration for their deliberate, continuing national-security leaks that are endangering the lives of the military men and women who serve and protect the United States of America. In that segment, liberal smear artist Bob Beckel defended the Obama White House’s intentional release of highly sensitive and highly classified security information:

“The idea to suggest that the President of the United States would leak intelligence information, jeopardizing people in the field is close to treason,” Beckel said. “If I were them – I assume they are out of the military now – they ought to take their benefits and go home.”

As honorably discharged and retired veterans of the Special Operations communities of all the Armed Forces and their supporters, whose mission in forming Special Operations Speaks is to illuminate the failed operational security environment of the current presidential administration, we find Bob Beckel’s commentary slanderous, insulting and appalling.

Yes Bob, we are indeed “out” of military uniform, but as private citizens in civilian mufti, we are no less dedicated to protect, defend and preserve the Constitution of the United States than we were when we first swore to do so when we entered military service and then honorably served our nation. Bob, we are home and one of the “benefits” we enjoy, like you, is freedom of speech under the First Amendment of our sacred Constitution.

Me likey. There’s much more to read at the link.

My favorite part, right here:

On the plus side, Beckel’s comments, however, have only strengthened the resolve of Special Operations Speaks and like military groups who stand united in a mission to stop the White House leaks for personal political gain. To use Beckel’s own comparison, if Beckel was worried about the Swift Boats in 2004, then the combined efforts of Special Operations Speaks, OPSEC and other like-minded Special Operations fraternal organizations will seem like “Swiftboating on Steroids” during this critical 2012 presidential election. Be afraid Bob . . . be very afraid.

Oh yessss.

Yes, yes, yesssss.

Libs use the term “swiftboat” as a pejorative, but swiftboating  is one of the most honorable endeavors a veteran can ever engage in.

What it means, roughly, is to tell the truth about a self aggrandizing, anti-American Leftist.

And if anybody needs the truth told about them, it’s self-aggrandizing, America hating leftists.

Uncle Jimbo of Blackfive: Obama attacks special operators for fronting him out:

Well Barry’s team never had any real respect for the knuckle-dragging troglodytes who he sent out to attempt to give him some tough guy cred and get him some campaign fodder by acting as cannon fodder. The reaction to this legitimate concern about our security shows the disdain they have.

Taking a direct shot at the leaders of OPSEC, an Obama campaign official lambasted the group’s accusations about national security leaks this morning. “No one in this group is in a position to speak with any authority on these issues and on what impact these leaks might have,” said the official, speaking on background, “and it’s clear they’ve resorted to making things up for purely political reasons.”

Making stuff up for purely political reasons, Really? Seriously that is your response, to call them liars? And to do so anonymously? Well that part makes sense, the odds of a gutless, spineless political tool standing up and calling those guys, us guys and other folks who are in a position to make those claims, liars is pretty slim. The Swift Boat reference is actually pretty legitimate, though. The ads that former comrades of John Kerry put out accurately portrayed Kerry as a glory hound punk who spent four months in Vietnam, picked up three extremely sketchy Purple Hearts, shot a bunch of reenactments of his exploits for home movies, and then headed out long before his tour was up to try to become the reincarnation of JFK. So Swift Drone away on the mighty Osama Slayer’s wafer-thin resume and phone book thick record of using it for his own aggrandizement.

Foreign Policy: Anti-Obama Navy SEAL leader: I’m a Birther

President Barack Obama is a socialist, was raised by communists, and wasn’t born in the United States, according to the former Navy SEAL who founded the group Special Operations Speaks (SOS), which aims to portray Obama as anti-military in this election season.

Earlier this week, a different group of former Navy SEALS calling themselves the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund rolled out its campaign to criticize Obama for leaking national security information and taking what it believes as undue credit for the killing of Osama bin Laden. That group claims to be non-political.

But the founder of SOS, a similar group with the same mission and the same tactics, says he has no problem admitting that he is against Obama’s politics, personality, and believes that America’s current president is lying about his origins.

“I have to admit that I’m a Birther,” said SOS founder Larry Bailey, a retired 27-year veteran of the Navy SEALs, in an interview. “If there were a jury of 12 good men and women and the evidence were placed before them, there would be absolutely no question Barack Obama was not born where he said he was and is not who he says he is.”

Bailey, who is part of the leadership of SOS’s effort to mobilize thousands to take to the streets to denounce Obama’s treatment of the military through an SOS project called Operation Street Corner, doesn’t only believe that the president is a foreigner. He also believes that he is not actually the son of Barack Obama, Sr. Bailey trumpeted the conspiracy theory that the president is actually the love child of Ann Dunham and writer Frank Marshall Davis.

I didn’t catch the part where Baily said Obama was born outside of the United States. I think Josh Rogin, the author of that Foreign Policy piece was inferring that. What Baily said was he doesn’t believe Obama  was born where he says he was born.

UPI: McRaven: Bin Laden raid was ‘historic’:

The admiral commands 66,000 Special Forces from all branches of the U.S. armed forces, including some 7,000 deployed in Afghanistan, CNN said. He also declined to tell persistent audience members details of the military drone campaign in Pakistan that has killed top al-Qaida and Taliban leaders.

“We are never happy when leaks occur and we go to very great lengths to protect our sources and methods,” he said. “Sooner or later it [leaks] is going to cost people their lives, or it is going to cost us our national security.”

UPDATE:
Like clockwork – who didn’t see this coming after what Baily said?
Now Swift-boat victim #1 enters the fray:

President Barack Obama‘s aides and allies are trying to undermine an emerging campaign by former soldiers who are slamming the White House for what they see as a willingness to betray the nation’s secrets in exchange for publicity.

His aides released a plea from Sen. John Kerry late Friday, urging supporters to ignore the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund’s hard-hitting criticisms. OPSEC is military jargon for operational security.

Not because anything OPSEC is alleging about the leaks is wrong, mind you – they’ve got a new angle….

Kerry’s email was accompanied by a second message from Obama campaign spokesman Ben LaBolt.

With the subject line “Forwarded Without Comment,” LaBolt’s message consisted of article which said the head of a different group of veterans — not the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund — believes Obama was born outside the United States.

Okay, not only is Baily not part of OPSEC, he never said Obama was born outside of the United States.

The article, published in Foreign Policy, quoted Larry Bailey, who founded the unrelated Special Operations Speaks organization, saying “I have to admit that I’m a Birther.”

LaBolt’s effort to associate the birther movement with the Special Operations OPSEC Education Fund is likely intended to mute the impact of the group’s charges.

Democrats have chosen to be sensitive to criticism from veterans because they blame a veterans groups for derailing Sen. Kerry’s 2004 run for the presidency.

“Seeing the new outrageous attacks made against President Obama from a shadowy Republican-allied veterans group called OPSEC, which take issue with the mission to kill Osama bin Laden, remind me all too well of the notorious ‘Swift Boat’ attacks I faced in the 2004 campaign,” Kerry’s email declared.

That group of veterans, “Swift Boat Veterans for Truth,” said then that Kerry exaggerated his Vietnam combat activities; Kerry’s supporters tried to refute the group’ charges. After he lost to President George W. Bush, they angrily declared that their new neologism — “swiftboated” — should be used to describe people who are unfairly criticized.

Nyet, comrades. Swiftboated should be used to describe commie scum who have  had the truth told about them.
Carry on, men.

Beandog-Like Attacks on Conservative Female Bloggers Linked to Kimberlin Krew.

Rauhauser’s “beandogs”:

Using his “WingNutWatch” Twitter account, Rauhauser had “organized a group of E-Thugs meant to harass, threaten, provoke, disparage, intimidate, verbally assault, berate & employ hate-speech against those not in agreement with his brand of politics,” as conservative blogger Patrick Read said at the time.

When my blog was submitted to the  Circle of Moms Top 25 Political Moms contest last Spring, it had already been going on for days, and I had been promoting The Lonely Conservative on Twitter. No thanks, I told the contest organizer, “take my name out of contention.” I wasn’t interested in being last place in some online contest.

Unfortunately for The Lonely Conservative, she has been under siege by far left lunatics ever since she entered the contest.  Zilla of the Resistance, another a contender in the contest, has also suffered abuse such as identity theft  from people who take these things way, way too seriously. Contests are supposed to be fun, right? But when the left gets involved, it turns into a nightmare.

Karen (The Lonely Conservative) writes:

It all started when a few of us conservative bloggers noticed that the progressive bloggers were extremely far-left and they were telling their readers to vote for their blogs because they wouldn’t want a conservative winning and spreading “dangerous family values.” Well, that got our ire up a little bit, so we responded in kind, and dubbed some of them “commie mommies.” It’s not like one or two of them didn’t already refer to themselves that way, so we didn’t see any harm in it. No big deal, right? To make a long story short, they tried to get us disqualified, so we all agreed to remove any negative posts about the competition.

You would think the story would have ended there, but it didn’t. That’s where it begins. (This is the “civil” left we’re dealing with, remember.) Before the contest ended, people using fake IP addresses started trying to post vile, rotten comments here. The comments all were put in a cue awaiting moderation and each was automatically emailed to me individually. On the night I found out I had won the contest I was at an event at my son’s school. I checked my email and the first one that appeared was a comment calling me the “c” word, and it wasn’t “commie mommy.” It turns out that was one of the nicer comments they’ve left.

Since then I’ve amassed nearly one hundred pages of disgusting, hateful and threatening messages. They’ve said that I (and all of you conservative readers) have no place in this world. They’ve told me to slit my own throat. They’ve called me every foul name you can think of. They’ve insulted my husband, accused me of molesting my children and threatened to report me to my local school board. They impersonated my husband and contacted a local divorce attorney. They tried to have pornographic sex toys catalogues sent to my home. They have sent emails on my behalf to my elected representatives advocating for policies I disagree with completely. They’ve signed me up for more email spam than anyone could possibly do in his or her spare time. (As of this moment I have 1630 emails in my spam folder.) They’ve called my home using Caller ID spoofing software or websites. They’ve let me know they know where I live. There isn’t time to list everything, but you get the gist of it.

The blog that came in second is Monologues of Dissent, written by Heather Dubois Bourenane. The Lonely Conservative discovered that  Heather is good friends with a woman named Jeanne Devon, who is the editor and founder of The Mudflats.

Here is where the linkage comes in:

Jeanne attended Netroots 2010 with Brad Friedman, who is also a contributor to her Mudflats site. Brad’s blog is linked on Heather’s blogroll. It looks like a pretty tight knit group.

Now, if you’ve been following Stacy’s coverage of this story you’ll know that Brad is tied to Neal Rauhauser. Rauhauser is an online menace, hacker, Democrat operative and associate of Speedway Bomber Brett Kimberlin. He has bragged about teaching his techniques of online terror to other liberal activists. He was a featured speaker at the same 2010 conference that Brad and Jeanne attended. Can I prove that my harassers are tied to Heather, Jeanne and Brad? No, at least not yet. I strongly suspect that they are, and someone is bound to screw up sooner or later, which brings me to what happened yesterday.

Zilla takes it from there:

The freaks who have terrorized Karen (and even attacked her family) have been stepping up their cruelty. Earlier this week, they sent her a fake email “from” Wombat-socho of The Other McCain that supposedly contained an excerpt of an email that was “from” Stacy McCain which said vile and disturbing things about Karen, obviously in the hopes that it would destroy friendships and ruin Stacy’s reputation as well. The identity thieving stalker trolls likely expected for Karen to see it and publicly lash out at Stacy in response, but these criminals underestimated their targets and the hoax was quickly debunked, and important clues about who may be behind the criminal acts that have been ongoing since April have revealed themselves. The vile cretins failed in their wicked ploy. Here are some responses from the Dextrosphere to these latest acts of evil:

Wombat says that those jerks have messed with the WRONG people and now it’s Game ON.

Maggie at Maggie’s Notebook has been brought up to speed about all of this, and she is not amused. Read: Harassed and Hacked (Hacked Off): Unreal Saga for My Blogging Friends.

Your humble blogress has so far been left mostly unscathed by these lowlifes. Perhaps they think I’m too “nice” to attack, lol.

I have had one rather disgusting correspondent in the DC area who doesn’t like to see his Lord and Master Obama criticized. He’s left comments that are so disturbingly vile, they require an immediate deletion and IP ban, but since the IP constantly changes, the banhammer has needed to come down again and again on the same creature (I won’t call this thing human, if you saw the comments, you’d understand.)

But that’s the demented, unhinged  left for you. You just never know what the hell you’re dealing with.

Zilla has started a Roll Call list of bloggers who are banding together to support fellow bloggers under siege by left-wing online predators.

We need to stand together with those who are fighting for freedom, and for good against evil. We need to make sure that they know that not only do we have their backs, but also, we need to show those who will stoop to the lowest of low tactics to destroy the righteous that we will not be cowed.

Please join me in showing support for The Lonely Conservative, who is being unjustly attacked, by sharing, Tweeting, emailing, re-blogging the message that the enemies of freedom will never ever silence the truth tellers. Send me your name (or username) and/or the name of your blog (if you have one) and I will update this post with a roll call of those who stand in solidarity for goodness and against evil. You can post in the comments section to this post, at the A-C page or the Zilla page on facebook where this post will appear, you can Tweet me or email me to say you want to be listed here and I will add you to the roll. I will make sure that Karen knows that we are with her. Also, please keep in mind that another great way to encourage a blogger is by rocking that blogger’s tip jar.

And don’t forget Zilla’s tipjar as she continues to battle systemic Lyme disease.

Linked by Zilla of The Resistance, The Lonely Conservative, Liberty’s Torch, Linkiest and The Other McCain, thanks!

By the way, Stacy, I wasn’t the first blogger to invoke “beandogs”…

The Organized Left Now Stalking Romney

Stalking Republicans office holders and candidates has become a favorite tactic of the left. Just ask Governor Walker. He can’t even appear at non-political events like book readings to schoolchildren, Christmas tree lightings, or the opening of the WI State Fair without being hounded by radical unionistas and leftists in Wisconsin.

Occupiers dogged Republican candidates  at numerous primary appearances, earlier this year, and now MoveOn is promising to hound Romney at all of his outdoor speaking engagements.

The following is an email sent to all MoveOn members. Note that it starts off bemoaning how the presidential election is going to be “one of the dirtiest ever” (excuse me, who’s fault is that?!) while in the next breath, suggesting that MoveOn members donate to their campaign of harassing Romney everywhere he goes from now until election day…

Dear MoveOn member,

This is shaping up to be the dirtiest presidential election ever. And the most expensive, with pro-Romney super PACs and huge corporations spending like drunken sailors, thanks to Citizens United.1 The sheer quantity of misleading ads will be stupefying.

But even if they buy the airwaves, they can’t buy the skies. So we can “rise above” their dirty ads—literally—and fly messages from the 99% over dozens of Mitt Romney events. We already did it successfully when we hired a plane to fly over Romney’s Liberty University graduation speech towing a banner that read: “GOP = HIGHER SCHOOL DEBT.”2

We can’t afford hundreds of millions of dollars of TV ads. But it turns out, if we all chip in a bit, we can afford to fly banners over Romney’s head. All the time.

Call it 99airlines.

Here’s the plan: if we can raise $150,000 today, we’ll use the opportunity of high-dollar Romney fundraisers to fly a plane overhead towing a message that reminds voters how he represents his corporate and 1% donors.

It’ll be fun—and it’s sure to grab the media’s attention. But most importantly, with Mitt leading in many polls, it’s a way to let millions of voters who are concerned about the economy know whose side Mitt is really on. Will you chip in?

Yes, I can contribute $5.

With 99airlines, we’ll transform Mitt Romney’s 1% fundraising tour into an airborne progressive message machine. If we hit our fundraising goal, we can secure enough plane banners so that at every Romney event, instead of looking at the podium, the reporters’ eyes and cameras will be pointing up, on the lookout for our banners.

According to Gallup, only 1/3 of voters under 29 are registered to vote and say they’ll definitely do so in November (far less than every other age group).3 That’s enough to swing the election. So with your support, we’ll also reach these voters by making 99airlines huge online—using Facebook and a Tumblr site, to post pictures of the best plane banners.

This summer, we’re pulling out all the stops to win the fight against the Romney super PAC ad assault. The 99airlines planes—and the messages they carry—will transform Romney fundraisers into an opportunity to remind voters what he really stands for—corporations and the 1%.

Can you contribute $5 to help launch 99airlines?

Thanks for all you do.

–Justin, Victoria, Emily, Garlin, and the rest of the team

Apparently, the Obama campaign, too,  is now organizing protests outside of Romney speaking engagements.

Via Gateway Pundit:

Mitt Romney visited an inner school in Philadelphia today to discuss his education agenda. The Obama Campaign met him at the school and protested his visit outside.
Mayor Michael Nutter led the protest complete with Obama 2012 signs.

The Romney protest was organized by the Obama Campaign.

The Washington Post reported:

When Mitt Romney came to an inner-city charter school here Thursday to promote his new education agenda, he received something of a history lecture about the persecution of blacks in America and the struggles of African American children to meet the academic achievements of their white counterparts.

Seeking to broaden his appeal heading into the general election, Romney was venturing for his first time in this campaign into an impoverished black neighborhood to hear the concerns of local educators and community leaders. But here in the streets of West Philadelphia, the emotion surrounding his contest with the nation’s first black president was raw, as dozens of neighborhood residents shouted, “Get out, Romney, get out!”

…Outside, meanwhile, some brick row houses across from the school were boarded up. Police had cordoned off a full city block to protect Romney and his entourage. Residents, some of them organized by Obama’s campaign, stood on their porches and gathered at a sidewalk corner to shout angrily at Romney. Some held signs saying, “We are the 99%.” One man’s placard trumpeted an often-referenced Romney gaffe: “I am not concerned about the very poor.”

Yes, harassing Republicans is fun for leftists. But the goal is not to inform “millions of voters who are concerned about the economy to know whose side Mitt is really on.” People aren’t persuaded by airplane banners, or protests outside candidates’ speaking engagements. The idea to wear people down, demoralize them into thinking the opposition is much greater than it is, depressing Republican  turnout in the general election.

Don’t be fooled. Obama is floundering and his false narratives are flopping. He’s the guy who’s barely winning in one Democrat primary after another against mullet headed jailbirds or “uncommitted”. They are the ones who are demoralized as hell, as DaTechGuy likes to say– Mitt needs to ride right through them.
