Pardon For British Schoolteacher?

It looks like a pardon may be in the works for British schoolteacher, Gillian Gibbons who “insulted” Islam by letting her class of seven year olds name a teddy bear Mohammad.

As thousands of sword wielding fanatics calling for her execution are protesting in the streets, a British Muslim member of Parliament and his delegation are flying to Sudan to negotiate a pardon.

Meanwhile, a dhimmi writer for Chicago Tribune’s “The Seeker” religion news blog is asking if the Teddy Bear case is a ‘fair message’ to be ‘sensitive’.

Café Press says how’s this for sensitivity?

Talk about ‘in yo face’.
Thanks to commenter USpace on the Cafe Press thing.

UPDATE:

Those Nose On Your Face goofballs are showing off their new line of Mohammad toys. These boys won’t be happy until they have a fatwah issued on them, I swear.

Buckley F. Williams says in the comments:

Thank you all for the nice feedback. Although we appreciate all of the support now, we will really be grateful for anything you’ll be able to do once we’re buried up to our chins in the Afghani desert.

I guess!

UPDATE:

Oh man!

UPDATE:

Gillian Gibbons is said to be hours away from being released.

Iran Bans The Word ‘Woman’ From Public TV

I guess it’s a dirty word for them. It’s been replaced by ‘family’.

The word ‘women’ must now be replaced on Iranian state television by ‘family’, reformist Norouz news agency reports.

In programmes broadcast throughout the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against women last Sunday, Iranian state TV used the world family instead.

In recent weeks, Iran’s Centre for the Participation of Women changed its name to the Centre for Family Matters.

Hat tip to Gateway Pundit who also has a story about an Iranian ‘family’ that was arrested and beaten (correction– make that strangled) to death for walking in public with a man, as part of the recent crackdown by the hardline clerical regime.

The ‘family’ was a 27 year old doctor.
