Bizarre New Super PAC Ad Has Kasich Winning the Nomination at Convention

I wrote a post at PJ Media not too long ago about Kashich’s – uh – unseemly evolution from thinking the idea of a brokered/contested convention was “cockamamie” only a couple of months ago – to where he is these days – bringing it up in interviews as something that will be really fun – a really “cool” civics lesson for the kiddies.

Now a pro- Kasich Super PAC is openly fantasizing about the Ohio governor winning the nomination at a contested convention with a new ad that is being called, “weird”, “weak” and “kinda sad.”

It’s all those things with an emphasis on SAD:

In case you didn’t know, the Kasich campaign was scoffing at the idea of a brokered convention back in February:

During a conference call with reporters, the Ohio governor’s senior strategist John Weaver called the idea “cockamamie” and dismissed a New York Times story describing Kasich advisers quietly seeking support for the strategy. Instead, Weaver described a path — one that many establishment Republicans have in turn described as cockamamie — to hang on by a thread through unfriendly Super Tuesday contests and out-wait other faltering rivals to wind up in a head-to-head race with Trump.

Then, he said, Kasich could win the nomination on the convention’s first ballot.

Kasich failed to win a single state in the Super Tuesday contests on March 1, and only managed to secure 21 of the 595 delegates.

The next day on the Hugh Hewitt Show, Kasich suggested that he hadn’t given much thought to the prospect of a brokered convention and pretended he had barely even heard of such a thing: “I don’t know what they call it — some call it brokered — there’s other names for the convention,” Kasich said haltingly. “Is that a possibility? Anything’s a possibility in this year. But I don’t really anticipate that happening,” he said, still insistent that he was the guy who would secure the 1,237 delegates needed to win the nomination (even though it was mathematically impossible at that point.)

Now, we’ve gotten to the point where not only do they “anticipate that happening,” they actually anticipate that the perennial also-ran will come out on top.

Maybe that’s why Kasich is already vetting V.P. candidates.

Just when you think his campaign can not get any more delusional….it gets even more delusional.

Report: US-Trained Syrian Rebel Leader Defects to Al-Qaeda

You are never going to believe this, but according to Patrick Poole at PJ Media, those Syrian rebel soldiers the US has been arming and funding for over a year –  have not been working out so well.

The latest report he points to indicates that a U.S.-trained Syrian rebel leader has “deceived his American handlers and has defected to Jabhat al-Nusra — the official al-Qaeda affiliate in Syria.”

This report comes just days after a senior U.S. military commander told Congress that only 4 to 5 U.S.-trained Syrian fighters are effectively engaged against ISIS as a result of a $500 million program pushed through by GOP congressional leadership a year ago. Since July 2014, I have repeatedly covered the frequent defections of “vetted moderate” Syrian rebel groups to al-Qaeda and ISIS here at PJ Media.

Yeah, who could have seen this coming? Besides practically everyone?

On September 17, 2014, I regretfully reported that the GOP-led Congress had very stupidly voted to authorize Obama’s (obviously underdeveloped) plan to arm and train the terrorists  rebels.

I really really want to be wrong about thinking this is a huge mistake, but I have a very bad feeling about arming people with values and loyalties so antithetical to ours with American weapons. My greatest fear is that these weapons will eventually be turned on American soldiers, and will lead to more Christians and ethnic minorities being slaughtered in the Middle East.

Why on earth do we think this is a good idea?

One thing I didn’t foresee was the colossal waste of money we would spend to arm and train 4-5 dudes. I mean – I think we all could have predicted that it was not going to be cost efficient with Obama in charge – but $500 mil to arm 5 guys, huh? That is some impressive malfeasance right there – even for the Obama administration.

And it all comes courtesy of the Stupid Party.

Take your bows, Lindsey and John. Brava.

Just when you think it can not get any worse…tomorrow comes.

With so much of the world’s attention in recent weeks being on Iran, ISIS must be feeling a little neglected — because they appear to be acting out even more than usual.

“Hey, we’re an existential threat too,” they seem to be saying as they post pictures of themselves playing soccer with human heads.”

“Hey, we may not have nukes – yet – but we can make pretty nifty cartoons of your president being decapitated.”

“Make no mistake – we’re the meanest kids on the block.”

The Islamic State is demanding a $30 million ransom to release hundreds of Christian hostages. Fox News reports ISIS jihadists are demanding $100,000 for each hostage. “They know we cannot come up with this kind of money so they’re hoping other groups and countries will come up with the money,” Fox quoted an unnamed Assyrian leader. The jihadi army captured 250-300 civilians in attacks on 35 Assyrian villages in the Hasaka province on February 23. Islamic State fighters killed nine Assyrians attempting to defend their homes. So far the Islamist group released 23 hostages who were told to leave the country rather than return to their homes.

No joke – they really are the meanest and most demented kids on the block. They remind me of the evil inbred freaks in the Texas Chainsaw massacre. Only those freaks actually retained an ounce of humanity. They need to be stopped cold by a military willing to unleash overwhelming force on them.

Sadly – that won’t be happening as long as the current pResident is in office.

It was feared (dreaded really) that the Obama Regime would attempt to morally equivocate between the rampant and horrific Islamic terrorism that is happening throughout the world today,  and nonexistent “Christian terrorism”  at the “Countering Violent Extremism Summit, this week.”  On day one, Biden (apparently) did not disappoint.

This White House is determined to knock us Christians off our high horses.

Via CNS, who notes that the comments did not come during Biden’s 19 minute-long opening remarks – but at some other point during the panel discussion.

A U.S. Islamic advocacy group says that Vice- President Joe Biden, addressing a White House summit on “countering violent extremism (CVE)” on Tuesday, referred to right-wing extremists and supremacists committing violence “in the name of the Bible.”

“Biden just talked about the right wing militias & supremacist groups that are violent in the name of the Bible,” the Washington-based Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) tweeted later in the afternoon.

Libs Wailing and Gnashing Their Teeth As American Sniper Sets Box Office Records

Via Deadline Hollywood, American Sniper, the movie about Navy Seal hero Chris Kyle,  is kicking butt at the box office.

Warner Bros. is reporting that American Sniper is set to post a Friday-through-Sunday of $90.2M with a cume to date of $93.6M.  By tomorrow, with the MLK holiday, the Village Roadshow co-prod cume is looking to post a four-day of $105.2M and an overall cume of $108.6M. Unheard of for any wide release at this time of year. What record did the movie American Sniper NOT break?

Among three-day bows, it’s the best posted by a January or February release, beating Passion of the Christ‘s (which opened on a Wednesday) FSS of $83.8M.  It’s the largest January weekend ever, beating Avatar‘s $68.5M during its third session (Jan. 1-3, 2010) and it’s looking to be the largest R-rated four-day ever, beating 2011’s The Hangover 2, which made $103.4M.

A+ CinemaScore across the board among males, females and over/under 25.  Everyone always knew the film was going to be the highest opening for an MLK release, beating last year’s opening record set by Kevin Hart‘s Ride Along ($41.5M 3-day, $48.6M 4-day). Audience make-up was 57% guys/43% women with 63% over 25. American Sniper also earned the best take for an R-rated IMAX film with an estimated $11.5M ovelike thisr the four-day, beating Fox’s Prometheus, which made $9M. American Sniper’s per theater: an amazing $25,374 over three days and $29,592 over four-days.

At my movie theater, the audience stayed in their seats until the credits were over and then they applauded.

As you can imagine, liberals don’t like this movie because it’s pro-American and (assumes whiny, pretentious tone) “glorifies the killing of brown people.” And it doesn’t show “both sides” you guyz.

Al Qaeda in Iraq used blow torches, electric drills and meat cleavers to torture and force information out of their victims which the movie barely touched upon. But the torture was well known, and a “how-to” book discovered in a terrorist safe house in Iraq in 2007.

The Defense Department released “disturbing images and cartoons showing how to torture a captive found by American forces during a raid on a Al Qaeda safe house….They also found photos of tortured Iraqi victims.”

That’s the side the anti-American moonbats want people to sympathize with.

Obama weighed in back in 2013 after Chris Kyle was murdered by a vet who was suffering from PTSD. He weighed in by NOT saying or doing a single thing.  By NOT making a telephone call to offer condolences to the grieving widow and NOT making a statement about the tragic loss to the nation, the Commander in Chief spoke loud and clear. He said pretty much what Huffpo’s Prince wannabe said in his last tweet, above.

Is that fair? You tell me.

Others who would seem not more heroic than Kyle have received statements from Obama expressing grief upon their passing, including author Ray Bradbury, singer Donna Summer, business tycoon Steve Jobs, Eunice Kennedy, Dick Clark, Richard Chavez – the brother of Cesar Chavez – Kenyan activist Wangari Maathai, Wilma Mankiller – first Cherokee Nation female chief – King George Tupou V of Tonga, basketball coach John Wooden, Chicago Bishop Arthur Brazier, and Kam Kuwata, a former Obama political aide.

He also made a statement for Whitney Houston who died in the same month as Kyle:

When singer Whitney Houston passed away from a drug overdose, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said Obama’s “thoughts and prayers are with her family, especially her daughter.” He also called her death a “tragedy.”

Obama sent three representatives to the Michael Brown funeral.

The White House aides who attended Mr. Brown’s funeral in St. Louis included Broderick Johnson, chairman of the White House’s My Brother’s Keeper Task Force; Marlon Marshall, the deputy director of the White House Office of Public Engagement; and Heather Foster, an adviser to the Office of Public Engagement, CNS reported.

Obama sent 0 representatives to Chris Kyle’s funeral.

Obama made a huge point of calling Sandra Fluke to offer his support after big bad Rush Limbaugh insulted her. But then, Sandra Fluke served his political needs at the time. What political upside was there for Obama to offer his condolences to the grieving wife of America’s most lethal sniper in January of 2013? He didn’t need the military vote anymore.

Obama had just won his second election. And no thanks to people like  Chris Kyle.

The famously thin skinned Obama may have remembered that the retired Seal went on the record in April of 2012, to voice his disgust with the president  for repeatedly spiking the football after the successful Osama bin Laden raid.

Chris Kyle, a former SEAL sniper with 160 confirmed and another 95 unconfirmed kills to his credit, said: ‘The operation itself was great and the nation felt immense pride. It was great that we did it.

‘But bin Laden was just a figurehead. The war on terror continues. Taking him out didn’t really change anything as far as the war on terror is concerned and using it as a political attack is a cheap shot.

‘In years to come there is going to be information that will come out that Obama was not the man who made the call. He can say he did and the people who really know what happened are inside the Pentagon, are in the military and the military isn’t allowed to speak out against the commander- in-chief so his secret is safe.’

Senior military figures have said that Admiral William McRaven, a former SEAL who was then head of Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) made the decision to take bin Laden out. Tactical decisions were delegated even further down the chain of command.

Mr Kyle added: ‘He’s trying to say that Romney wouldn’t have made the same call? Anyone who is patriotic to this country would have made that exact call, Democrat or Republican. Obama is taking more credit than he is due but it’s going to get him some pretty good mileage.’

Victim of Racial Abuse Emerges In Wake of Execution Style Police Killings

A sympathetic victim of the racial tumult surrounding the police shootings in Ferguson and NYC and the subsequent murderous violence against police officers, emerged Sunday, flanked by the mother and widow of Eric Garner at a press conference in Harlem.

Your hearts will melt when you hear what this lifelong defender of the oppressed and disenfranchised has experienced in the wake of the execution-style murders of two police officers, Saturday.

No, he hasn’t had to bury any family members – nor has he been physically harmed, himself.  And yes, the telephone harassment he’s experiencing now comes as a response to his own toxic demagoguery —  but no one deserves to be verbally abused and threatened by loud-mouthed bullies.

The Rev. Al Sharpton claimed Sunday that he’s received death threats in the wake of execution-style murders of two NYPD officers in Brooklyn.

Sharpton, appearing alongside the wife and mother of Eric Garner, played a voicemail for reporters purportedly of a racist threat made against him.

“Hey n—-r, stop killing innocent people, I’m going to get you!” according to the barely audible recording.

The voice mail also included three f-bombs that went over live television in New York.

Sharpton also took umbrage with police union leaders who have blamed Mayor de Blasio for allegedly inciting violence against cops.

NYPD Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu were gunned down in cold blood as they sat in their patrol car on Saturday in Brooklyn.

“To blame the mayor and others is not what we need,” Sharpton said. “The blame game will only lead to further kinds of venom and further division.”

And that’s one thing Al Sharpton would never, ever, ever, EVER do – is play the BLAME GAME. 

Poor poor Reverend Al – somebody said bad words to him over the phone, making him feel under “intense threat.”

Have a box of tissues handy, mmmkay?

No one in the public eye has ever had to experience such traumatic verbal abuse. Thank God he’s turning over the evidence to the FBI. Eric Holder surely has his top men on this important case. They’ll have those potty mouthed culprit(s) in jail by Christmas.
