The House Judiciary Committee is holding a hearing this morning to examine the allegations of misconduct against IRS Commissioner John Koskinen and decide whether he deserves to be impeached.
Lawmakers on the committee summoned Koskinen to answer accusations from the House Oversight panel that he failed to preserve documents Congress requested, and didn’t tell the full truth about Lois Lerner’s erased backup tapes, but the IRS chief will not be appearing at the hearing.
The IRS issued the following statement:
“When the committee announced this hearing, he was returning from China after meeting with tax administrators of 43 nations,” the statement reads. “The committee’s quick timetable left him without the time to fully prepare for Tuesday’s hearing. In addition, he also has been preparing for a previous commitment to appear before a House Ways and Means Committee hearing on Wednesday.”
Amid accusations Wednesday that the Obama administration purposefully lied to a federal judge, Texas Governor Abbott has called on the court to place him in contempt.
The administration’s schedule shaped the schedule of those challenging the president’s action. On Feb. 16, federal judge Andrew Hanen issued an order stopping the program, noting in his opinion that “the DHS’ website provides February 18, 2015 as the date it will begin accepting applications under DACA’s new criteria, and mid-to-late May for DAPA applications.” Hanen barred the administration from implementing “any and all aspects or phases of the expansions (including any and all changes)” to DACA and also “any and all aspects or phases” of DAPA.
So everyone involved knew the score. Changes to DACA, which had been scheduled to start Feb. 18, were on hold. DAPA was also on hold. And everyone assumed those dates to be accurate. But now, the administration is telling a different story.

The day after filing the motion, Jan. 15, Justice Department lawyer Kathleen Hartnett appeared in Hanen’s court to emphasize that there was no problem delaying things for a while because the administration wasn’t implementing the president’s changes.
“In that [motion] we reiterated that no applications for the revised DACA — this is not even DAPA — revised DACA would be accepted until the 18th of February,” Hartnett told the judge, “and that no action would be taken on any of those applications until March the 4th.”
A moment later, just to be sure, Hanen said to Hartnett, “But as far as you know, nothing is going to happen in the next three weeks?”
“No, your honor,” Hartnett said.
“OK,” Hanen answered. “On either?”
“In terms of accepting applications or granting any up-or-down applications,” Hartnett said.
“OK,” said Hanen.
“For revised DACA, just to be totally clear,” Hartnett said.
Hartnett did not mention the 100,000 illegal immigrants to whom the administration had already rushed to grant longer protections and work permits under the president’s order.
On Tuesday, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officials revealed that the agency processed nearly seven million immigration-related applications in just one year alone (fiscal year 2014). Because the agency does not have the resources to conduct in-person interviews with every applicant, officials noted that applicants for President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood (DACA) program did not have to go though face-to-face interviews before being granted temporary amnesty.
Potential applicants for President Barack Obama’s executive amnesty program for the illegal immigrant parents of U.S. citizens will also not be given in-person interviews if the federal government is allowed to proceed with its implementation after the court case against it is resolved.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a frontrunner in many 2016 GOP presidential polls in recent weeks, has come out swinging against the deal House Speaker John Boehner and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell just cut with congressional Democrats to fund President Obama’s executive amnesty.
The basis of his opposition to the deal is twofold.
First, he doesn’t agree with the way it surrenders Congress’ power of the purse to Obama through at least the end of September, the current fiscal year.
Second, Walker is furious that Democrats who publicly stated many times they opposed the president’s actions didn’t follow through and vote their stated positions.
Also, Walker—whose state of Wisconsin is part of the Texas-led 26-state lawsuit against the president’s actions—says that in addition to states fighting this in court, the Congress needs to do its job to stop Obama, a job that Congress has thus far failed at. Federal judge Andrew S. Hanen has put Obama’s executive amnesty on hold until appeals are completed in the court system–something the administration has reluctantly agreed to comply with.
Last week, Sue Payne of WCBM called into Mark Levin’s radio show with some bombshell information about Obama’s new immigration Task Force on new Americans that was created by Obama November 21 to implement his executive amnesty. The Task Force began meeting in Jan – Feb 2015, and Sue was invited to listen in on a series of three phone calls.
She learned about the Regime’s insidious plan to use American citizens’ tax dollars to subsidize these “New Americans” and give them Social Security benefits and other benefits the White House says they are “entitled to”.
Sue said that it became clear while listening in on the conference call that Obama plans to legalize much more than 5 million illegal immigrants – she thinks it going to be more like 13-15 million. There were 16 members of Obama’s Cabinet in on the call, including La Raza’s Cecilia Nunoz,she said.
The plan is to create a ‘country within a country’ of these“emergent immigrant communities” who will not be expected to assimilate as they receive government benefits.
Immigrants should be viewed as seedlings to be planted in fertile soil to grow. The fertile soil was equated to the “receiving communities” which would be those communities the illegal aliens are now living in, but once out of the shadows, these communities become welcoming or receiving communities.
Others commented that these same communities would be viewed as “emergent immigrant communities”
As a listener on the call, it was easy to logically see how these communities would welcome immigrants out of the shadows, but also, it could be construed that the host community members might well be relegated into the shadows. In essence, the seedlings consume the host and what was once the original community is transformed.
One comment cautioned against assuming these “New Americans” would want to assimilate. The interest was in navigation, not assimilation, and the navigation was through the system, focused on benefits.
Another commented that not all the New Americans would want work permits; rather many of the immigrant women wanted to be home with their children and not work, provided taxpayer benefits are secured for them and their children.
Another suggestion indicated that the Task Force consider these New Americans as refugees or asylum seekers, and as such considered for cash, medical, educational, and housing benefits.

Judicial Watch has reportedly already begun an investigation into the Task Force on New Americans.

The former vice chief of staff of the Army warned the Senate Armed Services Committee today that al-Qaeda has “grown fourfold in the last five years.”
“AQ and its affiliates exceeds Iran in beginning to dominate multiple countries,” retired four-star Gen. Jack Keane testified.
Using a term that the Obama administration now eschews, Keane called radical Islam “the major security challenge of our generation.”…
…”The Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham, ISIS, is an outgrowth from Al-Qaeda in Iraq, which was defeated in Iraq by 2009.”
“After U.S. troops pulled out of Iraq in 2011, ISIS reemerged as a terrorist organization in Iraq, moved into Syria in 2012, and began seizing towns and villages from the Syria-Iraq border all the way to the western Syria from Aleppo to Damascus,” he reminded the committee.
That leads to an “unmistakable” conclusion that “our policies have failed,” Keane added.

Much of this Iran-coddling began back when the Green Movement was in the streets of Tehran seeking the overthrow of the ayatollahs and chanting “Obama, Obama… Are you with us or are you with them?” Our president did not respond. He was already in private communication with the bizarre Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Obama wanted to be the one who got credit for reining in the excesses of the Islamic Republic, not those unruly student demonstrators who were the ones suffering from the regime in the first place, being murdered, tortured and raped in Evin Prison, often in reverse order.
Indeed, this unconscionable and out-of-control narcissism has been the key to Obama’s foreign policy throughout and accounts for the catastrophic global results we see in front of us now. The “leading from behind” mantra has always been a fraud, masking what it really means: “I, Barack, know best and manipulate affairs from behind.” It’s all about me. (Is it ever!)
On Varney and Co, Lt. Col Ralph Peters (Ret) said, “I think Obama is so desperate for deals for his imaginary legacy, that he is willfully ignoring the fundamentals on the ground in the Middle East.”
He continued, “what we are seeing now is remarkable and frightening and will haunt us for a long time – and that is the reemergence of the old empires….This president doesn’t think in strategic terms. He has a chip on his shoulder about Israel…”
I said last week that I believed that if Obama thought he could get away with it, he would have Netanyahu assassinated. Peters goes one step further:
“I don’t care what anybody thinks – they can criticize me all they want. But I believe if Israel disappeared tomorrow, Obama would sigh with relief.”
Add to that – we had a DEMOCRAT last week basically accuse the White House of being a mouthpiece for Iranian propaganda.
A man named Ahmad Rashidi was interviewed on Meet the Press today and provided an alarming look into the goals of ISIS. He claims they want to be “better” than al-Qaeda and orchestrate an attack “more brutal” than the 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center.

The Islamic State is “happy” about the air strikes by the United States because it validates their efforts in emerging as a global threat, says a man who escaped after a month with the group.
Ahmad Rashidi was captured by the Islamic State when he went to Syria from London to retrieve the two daughters of a family friend; the teenage girls had fled England to marry Islamic State fighters. When Rashidi found one of the girls, her husband accused him of being a spy and he was taken prisoner and tortured. He later won the favor of his capturers by telling them he was a doctor; Rashidi is, in fact, a first-year medical student.
“You cannot remedy a problem,” Jindal explained, “if you will not name it and define it.”
And so he did: Our immediate security problem today “is ISIS and all forms of radical Islam.” That is, the challenge is not limited to violent jihadists who commit barbaric atrocities. Jindal elaborated: “In the West, non-assimilationist Muslims establish enclaves and carry out as much of sharia law as they can without regard for the laws of the democratic countries which provided them a new home.”
The campaign to implement and spread sharia is antithetical to Western liberty. Freedom, Jindal said, means “the ability to conduct commerce both inside and outside your borders; it means the right to speak freely, to publish any cartoons you want. It means the right to worship freely. It means the right to self-determination.” By contrast, “radical Islamists do not believe in freedom or common decency, nor are they willing to accommodate them in any way and anywhere.” Moreover, the version of sharia law to which they adhere
is not just different than our law, it’s not just a cultural difference, it is oppression and it is wrong. It subjugates women and treats them as property, and it is antithetical to valuing all of human life equally. It is the very definition of oppression. We must stop pretending otherwise.
It cannot credibly be denied that this is so, as I have documented — using not only notoriousexamples of how sharia is applied in countries like Saudi Arabia (where it is the law of the land), but also Reliance of the Traveller, a classic sharia manual certified as accurate by prominent Islamic scholars, including at both al-Azhar University (the seat of Sunni jurisprudence since the tenth century) and at the International Institute of Islamic Thought (an influential Muslim Brotherhood think tank).
Still, Governor Jindal has been pilloried since his courageous speech by tendentious critics across the spectrum, from the usual Islamist grievance chorus to Fox News commentators and British prime minister David Cameron.
Why? Because he dared notice what ought to be an inarguable fact: The non-assimilationist Muslim campaign has resulted in the rise throughout Western Europe of what Jindal described as “unofficial” “so-called” “no-go zones.”

“This is a president who thinks – as the Middle East deteriorates – that the principle problem is Israel building apartment building in East Jerusalem. The White House response reflects Obama’s usual petulance and lies. First they said it was a breach of protocol to have invited Netanyahu without first consulting with the white House. Undoubtedly this is so, but this is not a normal Administration or situation. In any event, Obama is in no position to stand on protocol. Among his notable departures from protocol: bowing to the Saudi and Japanese monarchs, gifting the Queen of England an iPod of his speeches; giving a toast while the orchestra played “God Save the Queen” in Britain, making the Dalai Lama leave the White House through the back entrance past the trash containers; leaving Netanyahu sitting downstairs while he went upstairs to dinner. Surely there are more such instances, which I’ve forgotten, but these breaches stand out.
Another assertion was that Obama would not meet with Netanyahu when he comes because he doesn’t want to affect the upcoming Israeli election. As far as I can tell, Israeli voters hold Obama in such low regard the only way he could affect the election would be to hug and kiss Netanyahu when he’s here.
The dirty fighting continued with the White House indicating it was inappropriate for foreign leaders to lobby Congress, apparently hoping we’d forget that just days before they had invited British Prime Minister Cameron to do that very thing to scotch Congressional efforts to force tougher sanctions on Iran.
The capper was the White House leak that Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad itself wanted us to continue Obama’s all carrots no stick policy toward Iran. When you tell a whopper that enormous expect to be caught out even with our deadbeat press. We now have an alternative media that remains awake.
