“Animal Hater” Hangs Neighbor’s Dog

The souless monster, an Oklahoma man, George Henry Roberts killed the dog after it had wandered onto his property:

The dog belonged to Leah Owings and her family, which had been away on vacation when the alleged hanging occurred on May 24. She said the dog, named George, was “so incredibly passive” and “so laid back” and would not have hurt anyone.

Assistant District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler said other neighbors saw Roberts hang the black Labrador mix and called the Tulsa County Sheriff’s office. Kunzweiler said deputies saw the dog still hanging when they arrived.

Owings said she didn’t learn until Saturday that George had been killed. Her family had searched for the dog for two weeks since returning from vacation.

Sheriff’s Deputy David Long said neighbors told authorities that Roberts had threatened to kill pets that wandered onto his property.

“He’s basically an animal hater,” Long said.

The 59 year old Roberts has been charged with a felony count of animal cruelty. Hopefully he’ll see some jail time where there won’t be any animals (at least the four legged kind) to bother him.

Police arrested Brandon Hayes on Monday for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend’s four kittens in May. Lisa Stewart said she gave her kittens to Hayes to move to her garage, but she never saw her kittens alive again.

Stewart said Hayes killed the kittens with a hammer and buried them in the yard.

According to the police report, a hammer has been seized as evidence.
