Obama’s Rogue law Enforcement Unit Inside The EPA Comes Under Scrutiny (Video)

In the past few weeks, two new scandals have been added to the Regime’s already impressive list. Some of the more serious scandals include  Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, IRS, NSA spying, DOJ spying on reporters, State Dept. retaliation against whistleblowers, and now we can add the VA scandal and the EPA’s illegal  “rogue law enforcement agency” that has been blocking independent investigations.

Ahead of yesterday’s House Oversight hearing probing it’s activities,  the AP ran a startling story about the little known unit being run by Obama’s political staff inside the EPA.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A unit run by President Barack Obama’s political staff inside the Environmental Protection Agency operates illegally as a “rogue law enforcement agency” that has blocked independent investigations by the EPA’s inspector general for years, a top investigator says.

The assistant EPA inspector general for investigations, Patrick Sullivan, was expected to testify Wednesday before a House oversight committee about the activities of the EPA’s little-known Office of Homeland Security. The office is overseen by EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy’s chief of staff, and the inspector general’s office is accusing it of impeding independent investigations into employee misconduct, computer security and external threats, including compelling employees involved in cases to sign non-disclosure agreements.

“Under the heavy cloak of `national security,’ the Office of Homeland Security has repeatedly rebuffed and refused to cooperate with the OIG’s ongoing requests for information or cooperation,” Sullivan wrote in prepared testimony obtained by The Associated Press. “This block unquestionably has hamstrung the Office of Inspector General’s ability to carry out its statutory mandate to investigate wrongdoing of EPA employees.”

Radio talk show host, Mark Levin fumed that Obama has organized the Executive branch the way a Marxist Dictator would. He suspects – as I do – that if Obama has political fixers inside the EPA – he most likely does inside all of the agencies.

The AP reported that “EPA Deputy Administrator Bob Perciasepe was expected to tell Congress that the agency’s employees work cooperatively with the inspector general and support its mission” at the hearing, yesterday.

“Unfortunately, some have recently questioned the agency’s commitment to ensuring that the program offices within EPA provide timely, complete assistance to the Office of the Inspector General,” Perciasepe wrote in testimony. “I can assure this committee that the EPA remains committed to ensuring that our Office of Inspector General is successful in its efforts to root out waste, fraud and abuse in every program office across the agency.”

You will see in the following videos from the hearing that Perciasepe is exactly the type of corrupt, incompetent weasel one has come to expect from this abhorrent Regime. The IG is not much better. It’s not surprising that mind-blowing corruption is being allowed to thrive in this atmosphere.

Two weeks ago, the Homeland Security Department secretary put the agency’s former inspector general on administrative leave after senators said he was too cozy with senior agency officials and improperly rewrote, delayed or classified some critical reports to accommodate Obama’s political appointees.

Last year, the Defense Department’s inspector general removed material from a draft report that concluded then-Defense Secretary Leon Panetta had improperly disclosed classified information about the raid that killed Osama Bin Laden to a producer for the movie “Zero Dark Thirty.”

Stories abound like the employee who gets paid $125,000 a year to watch porn all day – even earning himself a bonus for his hard “work.”  And he’s still there.  Perciasepe doesn’t feel like he can fire the guy until he has a full report from the investigation, or something.

Inspector general investigator, Elisabeth Heller Drake, testified that McCarthy asked the inspector general’s office to halt a probe into a homeland security office employee after he assaulted her.  In response to questioning from Rep Jason Chaffetz (R-UT), Drake said that the Federal Protective Service investigated the assault and found probably cause for an arrest warrant, yet nothing was done.

Wednesday’s hearing was called: Is EPA Leadership Obstructing It’s Own Inspector General Oversight Full Committee?

Listen to the frustration in Chaffetz’s voice as he tries to get answers from the incompetent and corrupt bureaucrats who refuse to take any kind of action to deal with the criminal malfeasance going on all around them….

Congressman John Mica (FL07) sounded nearly suicidal during his questioning. “The EPA is a three-ring-circus,”  he said. “We’ve got people who have broken the law, people that aren’t working and an individual who is watching porno and they are still on the payroll.”

The hearing disclosed that a GS-14, making $125,000 per year, has been abusing his position, watching pornography for 2-6 hours a day since 2010, and is still paid by the taxpayers. The hearing also uncovered that EPA leadership was involved in the obstruction of the Inspector General’s efforts. In one case, the Secretary of the EPA asked the Inspector General to halt its review of the EPA Office of Homeland Security.

Mica said, “They have made a merry-go-round for ripping off the taxpayers, and we can’t get rid of them. Something needs to change. This is so offensive it’s unbelievable. We need a way to fire these individuals. I vow to work in a bipartisan manner to change the civil service laws to provide the federal government with the ability to address these abuses.”
