Stimulus Test: How Stupid And Gullible Are Americans?

According to the Soros funded Americans United For Change, very.

They’re running new radio ads in several cities featuring Rush Limbaugh with the goal of turning GOP votes in favor of Obama’s stimulus plan.

Here is the text of the 60-second ads:

NARRATOR: Listen to what Rush Limbaugh said about President Obama’s Agenda and his Jobs Package.LIMBAUGH: I HOPE HE FAILS!

NARRATOR: The Obama Jobs bill overwhelmingly passed the House…. But not one Republican voted yes. Every Republican member of the House chose to take Rush Limbaugh’s advice. Every Republican voted with Limbaugh….and against creating 4 million new American jobs.

We can understand why a extreme partisan like Rush Limbaugh wants President Obama’s Jobs program to fail….but the Members of Congress elected to represent the citizens in their districts?… that’s another matter.

Now the Obama plan goes to the Senate…. And the question is:

Will our Senator, _____ ,side with Rush Limbaugh too…

LIMBAUGH: I HOPE HE FAILS!

NARRATOR: OR will he reject the partisanship and failed economic policies of the past,

and stand up for the people of _____

Bwahahahahaha!  Weak….As, I’m sure they know…Rush wants Obama’s far left goals for America to fail. So do many Americans.

Meanwhile, this haughty Americans United For Change spokeswoman recently appeared on the Neil Caputo show, where she repeatedly dismissed the “red herrings” (what you and I call pork) in the bill:

I’m thinking the fish barriers may be needed for all of those “red herrings”.

Maybe Republicans can make that interview into their own  ad for radio stations in swing states. I think it would be more effective than the anti-Limbaugh drivel.

Nancy Pelosi gave us some great material, too:

These ads just write themselves…come on Republicans!

  1. Republican leaders have become the most stupid in the bunch. They are afraid to say anything negative about the President or members of congress for fear they will be labled racist, unpatriotic, or MEAN spirted. In the mean time, the Dems will continue to pile on. They play extreme hardball, and guys like McCain, Hatch, or Graham continue to lecture memebers about playing nice with the Dems. It makes me sick to my stomach. No spine, no backbone, no balls..nothing. The leaders in both the house and senate should paint a clear pictue, via the media, to the public about how INSANE the Dems have become. Instead it’s polite little sound bites, smiles and back slapping each other. I am happy the House Repubs voted no on the pork package, but they need to start slugging it out and Damn it…PLAY HARDBALL WITH THESE NUTS!!!!!

Uhhhh… they voted Obama into office. That seems like it pretty much covers the ‘stupid and gullible’ aspect.

  3. Maybe Limbaugh’s joined the 3rd Jihad Movement. Same goals — a failed America.

There’s some irony in your worrying about others’ gullibility, don’t you think?

Look Jane. See Ed perpetuate the fallacy. Perpetuate, Ed, perpetuate! Now Ed reads critically. Pretend, Ed, pretend!

  5. Of course, Limbaugh also said he’s “the last man standing.” I guess you could be right — he’s probably delirious, and we can’t trust that anything he says is close to reality.

  6. He said he doesn’t want Obama to succeed. Not that he wants America to fail.

And specifically that he wants Obama to fail so as to avoid introducing more socialism and liberalism in the country. I.e., if Obama succeeds in the near-term, it will lead to negative long-term consequences, so he’d rather not go down that path.

Now Ed reads critically. Pretend, Ed, pretend!

    I am so prescient.

  7. I believe Obama’s stimulus will fail. Not because stimulus isn’t necessary, but because it’s insufficient with “free trade” bleeding the economic lifeblood from the nation.

Too many believe that what’s called “protectionism” is bad, raising the specter that Smoot-Hawley tariffs caused the Great Depression … google “Smoot-Hawley Fiction” for why that’s false. What’s called “free trade” is economic treason.

The threat is not “socialism”, it’s fascism. Our economic enemies are euphemistically called our “trading partners,” e.g., fascist China; no, it’s not communist anymore.

The problem is we’re insufficiently socialist in areas where only considering the whole (systems thinking) can be effective. I describe some of those areas; google: “Invisible Hand Drops Ball & Economics 101”.

Google “The 9/22/08 Economic Crisis” to understand what’s caused it.
