Via Reason: You would hope that with all their sympathy and compassion for animals, PETA officials would have some of those feelings left over for their human underlings, but nooooooo:
This stunt was meant to demonstrate…..oh hell, I’m not sure what…how flank steaks feel when they’re shrink wrapped and left out in the sun? That doesn’t make sense…they’re already dead. But these two hapless interns are very much alive, and baking…or should I say broiling in the 80+ degree sun:
When officers inquired about the well-being of intern Shawn Herbold (bottom) and volunteer Thomas Olsen, a sweat-soaked Herbold replied that she was in pain and feeling nauseated from the heat after being wrapped in cellophane for 30 minutes, and also asked how much longer she needed to stay there. Byrne let her know it wouldn’t be much longer and left her under the hot afternoon sun for 30 minutes more while debating with the officers.
Nice. As usual they do nothing but make Jack-asses of themselves. People would probably have more sympathy for their cause if they weren’t such idiots about it.
