Saturday Movie Matinee: Growing Backlash Against Mozilla After Forced Resignation of CEO

Megyn Kelly: Growing Backlash Against Mozilla After Forced Resignation Of CEO:

NRO: Krauthammer’s Take: The Left’s Discourse Toward Mozilla CEO Is ‘Totalitarian’:

The Hammer is calling for a counter-boycott:

“This is the culture of the left not being satisfied with making an argument, or even prevailing in an argument, but in destroying personally and marginalizing people who oppose them,” he said.

“In the same way that proponents of climate change declare the issue closed — it’s over, there’s no debate, it is settled science — and therefore anybody who is skeptical of that is considered anti-science, and is called a denier – in a conscious way to echo that there’s some kind of moral or intellectual equivalent to denying the holocaust.

“In the same way, people are now declaring that the national debate that we’ve had for a decade or two on gay marriage is closed, and anybody who opposes gay marriage is a bigot and should be written out of polite society, ostracized and should lose their jobs,” he continued.

“This is totalitarian discourse, and it shows a level of intolerance that is absolutely — it should be unacceptable, and people ought to get what they’re giving out and field a counter-boycott.”

Gateway Pundit: Opie and Anthony Blast Obamacare After Losing Insurance: “I Don’t Know Why We’re Not Having a Revolution” (Video):

The hosts of the very popular “Opie & Anthony Show” on SiriusXM Radio went off on Obamacare Thursday after revealing their health care plans have been cancelled due to new regulations.

“I don’t know why we’re not having a revolution.”

Language warning:

Dear Mr. Obama,

Congratulations on getting 7.1 million people enrolled in Obamacare before the March 31st deadline!

Not to muddy the festivities by harping on technicalities, but I thought I’d pass along just a few corrections, in case you plan on giving anymore speeches or anything:

Alright, by ‘March 31st’ you mean ‘sometime in April,’ and by ‘deadline’ you mean‘suggestion which is subject to change.’

And, obviously, by ‘enrolled’ you mean ‘people who have filled some information out on a website.’

And by ’7.1 million’ you mean ‘probably like 858 thousand or something.’

In your speech on Tuesday, when you said that Obamacare is ‘the law’ and ‘it’s here to stay,’ you really meant that Obamacare is ‘a fluid and constantly adjusted set of unconstitutional decrees, which can be imposed or withdrawn by the Executive Branch at any point, for any reason, up to 21 times and counting.’ And by ‘here to stay,’you actually meant to say that ‘most of it is neither here nor staying, because you don’t want America to feel the full brunt of it until after the midterm elections.’

You claimed that ‘more than 3 million young adults have gained insurance’ by staying on their parents’ plan. Even if that were true, it seems to take for granted that there’s anything remotely positive about the government forcing insurance companies to treat 25-year-old men and women like children. But, more importantly, it isn’t.

Indeed, when you said ‘more than 3 million,’ you really meant ‘extrapolations based on faulty estimates conjured up by Health and Human Services almost two years ago have brought us to the dubious conclusion that we can claim 3 million, because nobody will understand how we arrived at that figure, and most everyone will be too lazy to even attempt to check our numbers.’

You appeared to venture into the vicinity of truth when you stated that Obamacare is‘doing what it’s supposed to do,‘ but then you forgot to stipulate what, precisely, that happens to be.

It has not, nor was it meant to, make insurance cheaper and more accessible – but it has stripped away choice and freedom, and made more people dependent on the government.

The Blaze: ‘Don’t Think That Can’t Happen’: Rush Limbaugh’s Terrifying Vision of Where the ‘Road We Are on’ Leads:

Conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh on Friday painted a horrifying picture of “what things will look like” if the United States stays on the “road that we are on.”

“The road that we are on takes us back to the Great Depression,” he said. “That’s what things will look like: People lined up for food, shelter. It’s gonna be ugly. People will be losing their savings and their pensions and their investments, in any number of ways.”

Limbaugh said when a country truly “collapses” the value of money “evaporates” or the government “takes it, confiscates it.”

Powerline: Hillary Struggles To List Accomplishments At State:

Hillary Clinton’s greatest accomplishments as Secretary of State — it sounds like a good idea for a short article. Perhaps a short article assigned by a malicious editor.

Asked by a friendly questioner (Tom Friedman) to identify her greatest accomplishments as Secretary, Hillary Clinton gave a two-minute answer that has a sort of “Where’s Waldo?” quality to it (video below). It might be passable for low-information voters, but she should probably sharpen that answer up a bit as she prepares to seek higher office.

In a live phone in, hosted by the Telegraph’s Tim Stanley, the Ukip leader was also challenged about his attendance record at the European Parliament.

Blaze: Female Reporter Bullied by Feminists at the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference:

It looked like peaches and cream for the folks behind the camera interviewing those gathered at the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference in Washington, D..C. late last month.

The reporter with the microphone asked attendees what feminism meant to them and what it could mean to others, and it was all smiles and positivity and declarations that feminism was “for everyone” and “more inclusive.”

That is until they learned the reporter was from Campus Reform, a conservative news outlet that focuses on college students.

One guy kind of said it all as he reacted with quite the non-subtle, “Oh…ohhhhh…”

August 29, 2013: Patrick the Miracle Dog’s Abuser Gets Probation, Fine:

The woman who pleaded guilty to animal cruelty for starving a pit bull, stuffing him in a trash bag and tossing him down a garbage chute in Newark, N.J., must serve probation and pay restitution to the animal care group that helped rescue the pup.

Kisha Curtis, 29, pleaded guilty last month to fourth-degree animal cruelty on the eve of her trial. She was charged in March 2011 after the dog, named Patrick, was found near death.

At her sentencing Thursday, the judge said Curtis would be required to serve 18 months probation and forfeit her right to Patrick, who has not been in her care since he was found.

She’ll also be required to pay nearly $2,000 to the New Jersey ASPCA, which gave the pup emergency care before he was moved to a veterinary hospital in Tinton Falls.

Curtis told NBC 4 New York her sentence was fair.

“I value the judge’s decision, and I’m going to make moves in life to make sure that I don’t make the same mistake again,” she said.

That was some “mistake” you made, Kisha.

  2. Listening to that WMAL interview with Attikisson I found it interesting when she stated that while Morrell was up to his neck rewriting the “talking points” that Susan Rice would use on the Sunday Talk Show circuit, that General Petraeus was already under investigation. That evidently he {Petraeus} was already considered persona non grata, irrelevant and was being by passed on major decisions.

It just reaffirms my theory that “someone” had his personal information sitting in the top right hand drawer. . . .just waiting to be used against him. So he was neutralized twice in my opinion. The first when he was thought to be a possible presidential candidate and most likely a republican, he was eliminated by being offered his retirement and the CIA job. And he bit, then. The scandal information which was already known and collected waiting to be used against him.

A classic Chicago political tactic use for decades there. Just ask the republican political corpses left in the wake of it. It’s always amazing just how many “sealed” Court records always manage to pop up in the most opportune times. Nothing going on here, just move along.
