Senator John Cornyn of Texas, all but calls Eric a liar in this interview with Laura Ingraham, and wants to see heads rolling over Fast and Furious – not promotions for the ATF officials involved:
Sharyl Attkisson of CBS News, who’s been doing some of the best reporting on this story, has new details on he thousands of weapons the ATF allowed to fall into the hands of criminals:
The Justice Department reports “Fast and Furious” guns have been recovered at 11 violent crime scenes in the United States. Those crime scenes, in addition to the murder of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry in Dec. 2010, puts the total number of U.S. crime scenes connected to “Fast and Furious” at 12.
The number is provided for the first time in a written response to Republicans investigating the gunwalker scandal. In the case, agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) say they were ordered to allow thousands of weapons into the hands of suspected gun traffickers for Mexican drug cartels. In its letter, the Justice Department indicates it doesn’t have enough information to know how many weapons have been used in violent crimes south of the border in Mexico.
Tony Katz of PJ Media, via Sipsey Street Irregulars, castigates our “Fourth Estate Fifth Columnists.”: Administration Kills Americans – MSM Doesn’t Care:
It has become increasingly obvious that the Justice Department, meaning Attorney General Eric Holder, and the White House, meaning President Barack Obama, were aware – in part or in full – about the plan. As others have mentioned, a second intention of this plan was to perpetuate the myth that American guns are flowing into Mexico, thus creating the violence on the border between the two countries. The idea being that Operation Fast and Furious could be used as a vehicle to institute greater gun control; which is to push forward the Progressive ideal of eliminating 2nd Amendment rights.
What has also become obvious is that the main stream media has no plans to aggressively cover this story, and by aggressively I mean at all. The New York Times, rather than report the facts of this story, (which show the President and the Attorney General as being complicit, if not advocates, in a plan to sell guns to Mexican drug cartels) writes incoherent drivel about Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA), who sits as Chairman of the House Government Operations and Reform Committee which is investigating the Fast and Furious disaster.
This case has exposed the MSM in two horrific ways. First, it is yet more proof that the MSM refuses to portray the Administration honestly. Second, it shows how absolute the first point is.
Cornyn, on The Laura Ingraham Radio Show, this morning, stated again that the Justice Dept is stonewalling, and it may take an outcry from the American public to get some answers.
He would like to see Holder in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee for a hearing, (which is led by Senator Leahy).

The Daily Caller:Holder requests Fast and Furious docs from Issa, Grassley for ‘independent’ investigation
The information comes via a letter Sen. Chuck Grassley and Rep. Darrell Issa sent to Attorney General Eric Holder on Tuesday. In it, they question a request from Holder for a transcript from a meeting they held in secret on July 4th with Ken Melson, acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
Holder apparently told Issa and Grassley he was requesting the transcript for the DOJ and for the Office of the Inspector General — the entity that’s supposed to be distinct enough from Holder’s office to conduct a fair Operation Fast and Furious investigation.
Holder and other DOJ officials have repeatedly said the DOJ’s Inspector General is conducting its own internal investigation into what went wrong with Fast and Furious. Even so, Holder’s latest request on behalf of the OIG sparks skepticism from investigators in Congress.
“Since the OIG is supposed to be conducting an independent inquiry, it seems odd that the Department would make a document request on behalf of that office,” Grassley and Issa wrote to Holder on Tuesday. “We presume that if the OIG would like to make such a request, it is capable of doing so on its own initiative. However, we have not received any such request from the OIG.”
In their Tuesday letter, Grassley and Issa also ask Holder to provide complete and full answers to all of the questions they sent him on July 22. Issa and Grassley say Holder failed to do so in his most recent response.
They say “perhaps the most troubling reply” Holder gave them was that the ATF did not have detailed information available on 11 instances ATF admits being aware of that Fast and Furious weapons were recovered inside the United States in “connection with violent crimes.” (RELATED: Issa, Democrats, NLRB fight spar over oversight committee document demands)
PREVIOUSLY:
Yeah, I’ve just real sure Pat Leahy would run a thorough and complete, non-biased investigation into ANYTHING this administration is doing/has done.
NOT!!!!
Patrick Leahy is a Democrap first, politician second and anything else before he’s to be considered an honest person advocating for constitutional government in the United States (unless, of course, the Constitution is rewritten to fit his perception of progressive utopia.)
