Hilarious: Reid Blocks Obama’s “Jobs” Bill – “Mr. President, right away is a relative term… so I object” (Video)

We are living in surreal times.

FLASHBACK: “No delays. I’m sending this bill to Congress today, and they ought to pass it immediately.” – President Obama, remarks on the American Jobs Act, September 12, 2011.

Rinse and repeat about 50,000 times.

Senate Minority Leader, Mitch McConnell, a master of understatement, asked for a vote on Obama’s jobs bill today, saying: “I think we ought to accommodate the President of the United States on a matter that he has been speaking about *ahem!* frequently over the last few weeks, and give him his vote…”

Reid: “Mr. President, right away is a relative term, that time will come very, very soon… so I object”

It depends on what the meaning of “right away, is,” because to a Democrat, “right away” is very a subjective term. It could mean “next month”, “next year”, or even “never” you just don’t know.

UPDATE:

Hot Air: Obamateurism of the Day

One might have thought that Obama and his team would have worked with Senate Democrats to get the strategy set before rolling out those proposals, but as The Hill reports, Obama seems almost as intent on alienating his allies as much as his opponents:

  2. Harry Reid is a racist-straight up. Sen. Reid does not like a black man as president. Was not a surprise to me.

  3. Actually, since Dingy is not quite as far to the left as his royal highness, his royal highness considers Dingy a republican (small “R” is on purpose), so he feels he’s correct when he accuses the Republicans in Congress of blocking the legislation he really believes will “save America.”

It’s getting to the point where I don’t know if his royal highness is really that stupid (to believe we’ll believe anything he says), that evil or both, but I suspect it’s both.
