Megyn Kelly Asks Judge Napolitano: ‘Does Obama Have an Adult Relationship with the Truth?’

Megyn Kelly had Fox News Legal Analyst Judge Napolitano on Monday night to talk about Emperor Obama’s serial lies, which Megyn finds to be increasingly outrageous – along with the fact that he is rarely called out by the media even when he lies to their faces.

They talked about Obama’s interview with  George Stephanopoulos, last week,  in which he denied that he had ever said he couldn’t go it alone on immigration.  Of course, there have been at least 25 instances in which he said on the record that he didn’t have the power to act on his own on immigration.

“This of course is not the first time that the president has changed his tune on a major issue to the American people,” Megyn Kelly said tonight, referencing Obama’s repeated pledge that those who liked their health care plans could keep them.

[My all-time favorite *Obama caught in a lie* moment came during the 2008 election when he was cornered on his past support for a Single Payer health care system (socialized medicine) after telling everyone for the purposes of the election that he wasn’t at all for Single Payer.

Obama was asked about his inconsistent positions on the single payer plan on the Today’s show in January ’08. He squirmed uncomfortably, had trouble hearing the question, and bolloxed his answer, giving the lamest explanation imaginable:

“What I said during the debate was that a single payer system was one that I would support if we were starting from scratch…”

Um, no, at the debate, he said that he had never supported a single payer system. It seems like he was having trouble keeping his lies straight, and his trouble hearing the clips made it all the more difficult for him to navigate through the lies.

“What I have said consistently is…if we didn’t have a legacy of employer based health care…then it might make more sense to set up a single payer system…I’ve always said that…I’ve said that during the course of this campaign, but what I’ve also said is that we’ve got to build on the system that we’ve already got…yadayada yada…” (segues into boilerplate).

He was allowed to get away with that gigantic load of BS. I rather enjoyed watching him squirm while being (at least) questioned about an obvious lie – but watching the media allow him to get away with it – instead of raising the firestorm of disapproval his countless campaign lies deserved – was decidedly less enjoyable.]

Napolitano said, “it’s a sad state of affairs when this Harvard educated, University of Chicago Law School-hired, so-called constitutional scholar […] doesn’t understand the basics of the Constitution and the job and the role of the president of the United States.”

But Kelly didn’t really want to talk about the legal arguments.. The lawyer in her wanted to nail the president for repeatedly “misrepresenting the facts to the American people.”

“Does Barack Obama have an adult relationship with the truth?” Kelly asked.

“The president does not have an adult relationship with the truth. The president lies about whether or not he lied in the past!” Napolitano exclaimed.

Kelly said that the media has allowed Obama to get away with this, and Napolitano asked a question many Fox News viewers are probably wondering: “Do you think he’d come on ‘The Kelly File?’”

Kelly noted she would be going to the White House Christmas Party, which she expected would be “awkward.”
