Video: Democrats Repeatedly Warned Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac needed reform.

Now these same Democrats are in charge of “fixing” the problem and are trying to use this dire financial crisis to include in the bailout plan:

a poison pill that would push 20% of all profits from the bailout into the Housing Trust Fund — a boondoggle that Democrats in Congress has used to fund political-action groups like ACORN and the National Council of La Raza:

If that isn’t despicable enough, they’re also taking the opportunity to blame McCain for tanking the deal, which the Republicans were united against.

Here’s Lindsey Graham talking about what’s been happening:

Scumbags. They won’t be happy until the approval rating for congress is 0%.

UPDATE:

Open Markets.org weighs in on the Bailout bill put forth by Senator Dodd.

(Hint: they don’t like it).

UPDATE II:

A couple more videos for you:

Bill Clinton, defending McCain’s decision to suspend his campaign, and blaming Democrats for blocking efforts to reform Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, via Astute Bloggers :

  2. This whole mess is mostly the liberals fault and I am tired of hearing them lie about it on t.v. and blame Bush and McCain. It is disgusting and the left is getting totally wacked out and out of control! This needs to be stopped.

  3. When I joined the military years ago, I had to swear to defend the constitution and the United States of America against all enemies…foreign and domestic. I’m wondering when our military will be rounding up these commi-dems and taking them down to gitmo?

  5. Bush became pres in 2001. Repugs have had control of both houses of congress from 1994 – 2007. It sure looks like the Dems are the ones at fault. Boy those darn dems had more power than they knew. If the Repug warned about the problem and knew that there was a prblem and had control of every committe and chairmanship in both houses of congress and the president to sigh anything that was presented to him — then why the hell did they not do something. It’s just easier to blame someone else. Typical Repugs. Obama/Biden for real change.

It looks that way because it is that way. The Dims blocked every effort by Republicans to do something about the problem. The truth hurts, doesn’t it?

  7. WOW. IMPRESSIVE.

All the work that was put into this series of videos, etc. All…that…work…for…nothing. You can spin all you want. The fact is that the people are voting. And they’re voting to remove power from the hands of scumbags like Bush, Cheney, McCain, etc. We are voting for change. Spin away…spend all your time and money spinning away…at the end of the day, you’ll see. We’re not stupid. You must remember that your VP candidate does not represent the average intelligence of the American voter. In fact, she speaks at a 6th grade level – well, I take that back, my 10-year old actually employs better grammar than she does.

Anyway…turn the page, spin away, smear, dig, distract, muddy the waters…do all that stuff you all are so good at and then on November 4th, try to figure out what the hell you’re going to do with your life.

  8. REPUB’S SET A RECORD FOR FILIBUSTERING

Let’s not forget that the Republicans, since being in the minority, have set a new record in American history for filibustering more legislation than in any session before – and they did it in one year! Guess who held the previous record? Republicans – the last time they were in the minority. What a coincidence, eh?

It’s unfortunate that they’re handing us the biggest mess in our history to deal with, but if anyone can restore just a bit of respect to the halls of Congress, Obama can.

Let’s meet back here November 5th and discuss the results of the voice of the people.

  9. Nice one, SPARKY. Supporting Gitmo shines a light on your obvious ignorance of the constitution, which you pledge to uphold?
