The Narcissist- in-Chief Continues To Show His Contempt For America

Photo Credit Reuters: Lonely Conservative: He does it again.

At RightWingNews, David Limbaugh lays into Obama for once again demonstrating his inability to grow in office. In just a few short statements at the Asia-Pacific Cooperation CEO business summit in Honolulu, we saw the same haughty and arrogant attitudes which have turned off scores of Americans.

Away from his teleprompter, he treated us to further insults of Americans, his unfriendly attitude toward business and the private sector, his narcissism, and his refusal to accept responsibility for his own actions.

In his Monday evening press conference from APEC, Obama showed that he can’t shake his narcissistic impulses. One would think that with all that has been written about Obama’s “me, myself and I” fixation, he would at least try to pretend to be other-directed on occasion, to show he has the capacity to think of his position as something larger than himself.

In his opening remarks, he didn’t say that “we” or “Americans” want other nations to buy American-made goods, but “I want them to,” and so “I’ve been doing everything I can to make sure” we stay competitive. He didn’t say, “The United States was honored to host APEC this year,” but “I’ve been proud to host APEC this year.”

***

At APEC, Boeing CEO Jim McNerney asked him to consider the Chinese perspective and their concern about impediments to investment in the United States. How, wondered McNerney, would he address their dissatisfaction over these obstacles?

Rather than addressing the question directly, Obama deflected any responsibility for the situation and said, “We’ve been a little bit lazy, I think, over the last couple of decades. We’ve kind of taken for granted – well, people will want to come here and we aren’t out there hungry, selling America and trying to attract new business into America.”

I happen to believe that comment is absurd on its face, as even my small hometown in Missouri has made great efforts to bring foreign businesses into the community, sometimes successfully. Other communities throughout the United States daily engage in a competitive effort to attract businesses into their cities and states, and for the president to characterize them as “lazy,” demonstrates he is as out of touch with Americans as he is disdainful toward them.

He might consider responding to the question next time, which involved impediments to doing business that often put American companies and communities at a competitive disadvantage in attracting foreign businesses. Doesn’t Obama owe us all an answer to that question?

But to answer would require Obama to account for his own deplorable economic record and his hostility toward business, the private sector and the free market. A fair, reasonable response would have included his acknowledgment of how much damage his policies have caused to the American business climate, instead of an indictment of every American besides himself.

With characteristic disdain for Obama, Charles krauthammer, on Fox’s Special Report, Monday, also addressed our President’s  “ill-concealed contempt of America”:

“Obama is ready to blame everybody except himself for the lousy economy. And the lack of investment. Look, why are people reluctant to invest? We have the highest corporate tax rate in the world, in the industrialized world. Obama has spoken about it. It’s the one issue on which the Republicans would have agreed on lowering that rate, eliminating loopholes. In three years in office, he’s done nothing. He has an NLRB trying to shut down a $1 billion plant Boeing has constructed, as a favor to Obama’s union allies. People look abroad and say this isn’t a place I want to do business. Its his issues, his over-regulation over taxation and all the red tape he has added. And now he blames Americans’ laziness. I think it’s unseemly.”

We move on to Obama’s contempt for Christianity as Tammy Bruce recently pointed out; as we enter the holiday season, we can expect the same ‘ol same ‘ol stories of bizarre leftist worshiping political correctness imposing itself on civilization with obsessive efforts to eradicate all public displays of faith – even the word “Christmas” itself. Leftists have no problem with filthy, nihilistic #occupy hippies raping, defecating, vandalizing, getting high – etc in the public square, but the very same people cry foul at the horribly offensive prospect of baby Jesus occupying a manger in a public Nativity Scene. It’s an affront to their civil liberties, you see.

It’s one thing for the usual liberal Gestapos or the odd atheist to pull that craven cart through society, but now even more disturbingly it appears President Barack Obama himself isn’t even remotely trying to hide his contempt for Christianity and its importance to our great nation.

Just a few days ago, Obama and the White House went out of its way to issue a special proclamation for Eid al-Adha, the Muslim “festival of sacrifice.”

In an official White House statement, the president and first lady gushed about Eid and congratulated Muslims involved in the Hajj “pilgrimage.”

All of that is well and good, but what struck me about this special message was the reminder that this very same president deliberately ignored Easter this year, the most holy of Christian holidays, by snubbing Christians here and around the world.

In April there was disbelief that the White House issued no proclamation about Easter, let alone a personal statement by the president and his wife. Newsmax noted:

“By comparison, the White House has released statements recognizing the observance of major Muslim holidays and released statements in 2010 on Ramadan, Eid-ul-Fitr, Hajj, and Eid-ul-Adha.” On top of neglecting Easter, the president “also failed to release a statement marking Good Friday.” The White House did, however, “release an eight-paragraph statement heralding Earth Day,” which fell on Good Friday.”

Most of us recognized a problem with a man whose spiritual leader and father figure ran a church where pleading to God to “damn” America was standard, but it now seems Obama’s contempt for this nation is personal and isn’t even something he bothers to mask.

In addition to gestures by this president indicating a personal contempt for the Christian foundation of this country, in the past 72 hours Americans were dumbfounded by the announcement of a “Christmas Tree Tax” by Obama’s Department of Agriculture. Only after significant outrage was directed at the president and federal government for such an astounding proposal, was a “delay” in the implementation of the tax announced.

And on and on it goes. Read the rest at the links.

431 days left of this, folks.

Anyone of the Republican candidates would be better than this.

431 loooong days.

Obama Administration Pressured Solyndra To Keep Layoffs Quiet Until After 2010 Elections – Jonathan Alter Hardest Hit

What? No….

Jonathan Alter says Obama  is “honest”, scandal-less, and “puts a premium on personal integrity”.  He insists Obama set a record in October for the most days without a scandal of any president since 1977! (another Democrat just by coincidence).

Although it’s possible that the Solyndra LLC story will become a classic feeding frenzy, don’t bet on it. Providing $535 million in loan guarantees to a solar-panel maker that goes bankrupt was dumb, but so far not criminal or even unethical on the part of the administration. These kinds of stories are unlikely to derail Obama in 2012.

Well, really? Even if, out of a crass political calculation, they pushed Solyndra to keep quiet about their lay-offs until after the election? Even if the Obama’s Energy Dept agreed to continue giving Solyndra installments of its federal loan despite the company’s failure to meet key terms of the loan?  Even if, while knowing the company was in deep financial doodoo, it restructured its loan in February to give investors a chance to recover $75 million in new money they put into the company, essentially throwing taxpayers under the bus?

Yep, I love the sense of honesty and integrity this random act of journalism by The Washington Post gives me:

Solyndra, the now-shuttered California company, had been a poster child of President Obama’s initiative to invest in clean energies and received the administration’s first energy loan of $535 million. But a year ago, in October 2010, the solar panel manufacturer was quickly running out of money and had warned the Energy Department it would need emergency cash to avoid having to shut down.

The new e-mails about the layoff announcement were released Tuesday morning as part of a House Energy and Commerce committee memo, provided in advance of Energy Secretary Steven Chu’s scheduled testimony before the investigative committee Thursday.

Solyndra’s chief executive warned the Energy Department on Oct. 25, 2010, that he intended to announce worker layoffs Oct. 28. He said he was spurred by numerous calls from reporters and potential investors about rumors the firm was in financial trouble and was planning to lay off workers and close one of its two plants.

But in an Oct. 30, 2010, e-mail, advisers to Solyndra’s primary investor, Argonaut Equity, explain that the Energy Department had strongly urged the company to put off the layoff announcement until Nov. 3. The midterm elections were held Nov. 2, and led to Republicans taking control of the U.S. House of Representatives.

“DOE continues to be cooperative and have indicated that they will fund the November draw on our loan (app. $40 million) but have not committed to December yet,” a Solyndra investor adviser wrote Oct. 30. “They did push very hard for us to hold our announcement of the consolidation to employees and vendors to Nov. 3rd – oddly they didn’t give a reason for that date.”

Just a reminder of how the most “honest” and “scandal-free” administration since 1977, demonstrates its integrity:

DealergateDOJ Black Panther whitewash, the Obamafication of NEA art, the Sestak affair, the politically expedient IG Gerald Walpin firing, misspent Porkulous funds,  the DOJ’s secret astroturf propaganda unit, the Shorebank scandal, oilgate, Blagojevich Rezko Obama corruption, Pigfordhis  unaccountable Communist czars, Fast and Furious, The Gibson Guitar Raid, and now Solyndra and LightSquared.

Court Order Allows #OWS Squatters To Return To Park – Bloomberg Plans To Fight It (With Video) UPDATED

This video features one of  America’s favorite #OWS trust fund hippies:

Approximately 70 #OWS squatters were arrested, early this morning as hundreds of police in riot gear raided the Zuccotti park, but hours later, the Marxist National Lawyers Guild obtained a court order allowing the protesters to return with their tents to the park, where they have camped for two months.

Fox News Reports:

The guild said the injunction prevents the city from enforcing park rules on the protesters who are now looking for squatters rights, despite park rules banning camping overnight.

Bloomberg said the city knew about the court order but had not seen it and would go to court to fight it. He said the city wants to protect people’s rights, but if a choice must be made, it will protect public safety.

By 9 a.m., the park was power-washed clean by sanitation workers. Police in riot gear ringed the public space, waiting for orders to reopen it.

The city told protesters they could come back after the cleaning, but under new tougher rules, including no tents, sleeping bags or tarps, which would effectively put an end to the encampment if enforced.

“The law that created Zuccotti Park required that it be open for the public to enjoy for passive recreation 24 hours a day,” Bloomberg said. “Ever since the occupation began, that law has not been complied with, as the park has been taken over by protesters, making it unavailable to anyone else.”

Concerns about health and safety issues at Occupy Wall Street camps around the U.S. have intensified, and protesters have been ordered to take down their shelters, adhere to curfews and relocate so that parks can be cleaned.

Is NYC’s Mayor Bloomberg actually showing signs of intestinal fortitude? He’s gonna need it. These cockroaches aren’t going to stop infesting the park without a huge fight.

Pelosi/Media Matters Attack “Throw Them All Out’s” Peter Schweizer – Daily Beast Editor Defends On MSNBC (With Video)

Although 60 Minutes cherry picked Republican examples from Schweizer’s book for their report, Sunday night– (four out of the five targets of its investigation were Republican, while “60 to 70 percent” of the politicians described in Schweizer’s book are Democrats), they managed to blow the  lid off of congressional insider trading, taking a rare look at corruption on both sides of the aisle. For the basis of its investigations, it used took a book by a conservative journalist and Big Peace editor, Peter Schweizer’s Throw Them All Out. While some liberal media outlets, like Huffpo and The Politico are panning  the report (coming to Boehner’s defense, in order to protect Pelosi), others like Soros and SEIU funded Media Matters prefer to attack the messenger, as in – Pelosi Smear Based on Book By Breitbart Editor.  Because 1. the book obviously has nothing to offer but lies and smears since it’s written by a {{{Breitbart }}} editor (Attaaaaack watch!) and 2. We’re not even intellectually honest enough to defend politicians on both sides of the aisle like The Politico and Huffpo did – no – we’ll only defend the sole Dem mentioned in the 60 minutes report.

Wow. LOL.

As unintentionally funny and hackworthy as Media Matters is, they are who a panicked Nancy Pelosi linked to in her attempt to defend herself against revelations made in Schweizer’s book.

Daily Beast contributor Zachary Karabell defended Schweizer’s book, calling it “not partisan” and  blasted Nancy Pelosi’s weak attempt to defend herself when he appeared on MSNBC, yesterday:

In an oped at The Daily Beast, today, Karabell wrote: Ethically Challenged Congress Needs Law or Code Banning Insider Trading:

If there’s no stomach for a law banning insider trading in Congress, at least it should constitute an ethics violation and carry real censure. Lacking that, members who use insider access to enrich themselves should be voted out of office.
