Once Again, Encouraging Words From Dingy Harry On Iraq

Top Democrats yesterday rejected reports of U.S. military progress in Iraq, saying victory remains “out of reach” as long as political divisions roil Baghdad.

“It’s not getting better; it’s getting worse,” said Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. “The goal remains out of reach.”

Hey, that’s an improvement over his “This war is lost” comment back in April.

Nevermind that there has indeed been a dramatic drop in the violence in Iraq, the cup is 1/1ooth  full now, for Reid, instead of completely empty.

That, my friends is actually an improvement, as far as the Dingy One is concerned.

Republicans and supporters of the war effort said the Democrats were in “deep denial.”

Former Democrat, Joe Lieberman had this to say:

… the war critics “remain emotionally invested in a narrative of retreat and defeat, even as facts on the ground show that we are advancing and winning.”

  1. First of all this war is costing us billions of dollars in spending so to so call “fight terrorism” we have to invest in a country that we already know does not contain terrorist. If we are going to actually find the terrorist we have to go to afghanistan and we don’t have enough troops right now to support both those operations.
