Obama, Acorn, Voter Fraud, and Scrubbed Website Posts

This is getting out of control.

Now in Indianapolis they’ve managed to register 105% of the populous:

According to STATSIndiana, In 2007, Indianapolis/Marion County had an estimated population of 876,804. Of that number 232,607 were below 18 years of age, for a total of 644,197 people in Marion County/Indianapolis 18 or over and thus eligible to vote. (Indiana allows felons to vote as long as they are not incarcerated).

So we have 644,197 people eligible to be registered in Marion County/Indianapolis, and 677,401 people registered. Congratulations go to Indianapolis for having 105% of its residents registered!

ACORN has been paid over $800,000 by the Obama campaign, Inc. for so-called “advance work.”

Say Anything reports:

A specific, month by month account of money paid by the Obama campaign to the ACORN front organization, Citizens Services, Inc. for those fraudulent “advance service”, taken from FEC reports and totaling $832,598.29 since Feb, 2008, can be found here.

Barack Obama has a long and colorful history of denying his embarrassing, radical leftwing associations, until he can no longer maintain the façade.  At which point, he jettisons whatever or whoever has caused the embarrassment and MovesOn.

Obama is still currently in the denial stage, as you can see by this post at his Stop The Smears site:

Discredited Republican voter-suppression guru Ken Blackwell is attacking Barack Obama with naked lies about his supposed connection to ACORN.

Fact: Barack was never an ACORN community organizer.
Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.
Fact: ACORN was not part of Project Vote, the successful voter registration drive Barack ran in 1992.

In his capacity as an attorney, Barack represented ACORN in a successful lawsuit alongside the U.S. Department of Justice against the state of Illinois to force state compliance with a federal voting access law. For his work helping enforce the law, called “Motor Voter,” Barack received the IVIIPO Legal Eagle Award in 1995. (For more about Barack’s career, check out our Obama bio.)

Ken Blackwell is best known today for disenfranchising Democratic voters in his dual role as Ohio Secretary of State and chair of George Bush’s Ohio campaign in 2004. To see him shed crocodile tears for the integrity of the vote while making accusations about Barack and ACORN with absolutely no basis in fact is disturbing.

Blackwell’s attacks against ACORN and community organizers continue a vile Republican pattern of mockery and viciousness against this noble profession. Community organizers are the very individuals Republicans should be celebrating for helping people to help themselves rather than depending on the government.

•Fact: Obama doesn’t think people are capable of using Google.

Stanley Kurtz, who has been researching Obama’s ties to ACORN points us to these news sources:

The LA Times:

Several community organizers and Altgeld Gardens tenants confirmed Johnson was working on asbestos but said Obama organized residents to act. “He got people to vote with their feet” on the issue, organizer Madeleine Talbot said. At the time, Talbot worked at the social action group ACORN and initially considered Obama a competitor. But she became so impressed with his work that she invited him to help train her staff.

Obama’s  own website:

When Obama met with ACORN leaders in November, he reminded them of his history with ACORN and his beginnings in Illinois as a Project Vote organizer, a nonprofit focused on voter rights and education. Senator Obama said, “I come out of a grassroots organizing background. That’s what I did for three and half years before I went to law school.   That’s the reason I moved to Chicago was to organize. So this is something that I know personally, the work you do, the importance of it.  I’ve been fighting alongside ACORN on issues you care about my entire career.  Even before I was an elected official, when I ran Project Vote voter registration drive in Illinois, ACORN was smack dab in the middle of it, and we appreciate your work.”

And that ever fruitful Chicago Reader article about Obama from December 1995:

Another strong supporter of Obama’s work–as an organizer, as a lawyer, and now as a candidate–is Madeline Talbott, lead organizer of the feisty ACORN community organization, a group that’s a thorn in the side of most elected officials. “I can’t repeat what most ACORN members think and say about politicians. But Barack has proven himself among our members. He is committed to organizing, to building a democracy. Above all else, he is a good listener, and we accept and respect him as a kindred spirit, a fellow organizer.”

Obama continues his organizing work largely through classes for future leaders identified by ACORN and the Centers for New Horizons on the south side.

Was the Chicago Reader lying? Is the Chicago reader a racist organization?

Some more damning articles about Obama’s Acorn related activities have been scrubbed from the archives of the journal, Social Policy.

Stanley Kurtz reports:

Perhaps the strongest evidence against Obama’s attempt to deny his ties to Acorn comes in an article by Toni Foulkes, a Chicago Acorn leader, and a member of Acorn’s National Association Board, in the journal Social Policy. That article appears on pages 49-52 of the combined Winter 2003-Spring 2004 issue, Vol. 34, No. 2, Vol. 34, No. 3. I provide a link to a pay-for-access page to that article in my “Inside Obama’s Acorn” piece. As I’ve just been informed by a reader, however, the journal Social Policy appears to have pulled the link to that article, rendering it inaccessible, even by purchase. You can find the apparently pulled link here.

A link to a second article also appears to have been pulled here. I was previously unaware of this second article, “Towards a Chicago School of Youth Organizing,” by Alyson Parham and Jeff Pinzino. I would strongly suggest that people try to find this article in hard copy at a library. (What is it about Obama and libraries?)

The Toni Foulkes piece clearly contradicts Obama’s denials of ties to Acorn at “Fight the Smears.” Here’s a key passage:

Obama then went on to run a voter registration project with Project VOTE in 1992…Project VOTE delivered 50,000 newly registered voters in that campaign (ACORN delivered about 5000 of them)…

Since then, we have invited Obama to our leadership training sessions to run the session on power every year, and as a result, many of our newly developing leaders got to know him before he ever ran for office. Thus, it was natural for many of us to be active volunteers in his first campaign for State Senate and then his failed bid for U.S. Congress in 1996. [Actually, the congressional race was in 2000, SK] By the time he ran for U.S. Senate, we were old friends.

Has Social Policy blocked access to those two articles to protect Obama? Was the Obama campaign involved? How does Barack Obama explain his denials of a link to Acorn in light of the evidence? Shouldn’t the press be asking him about this?

About the publishers of Social Policy:

The American Institute for Social Justice and The ACORN Institute provide research and training for community and labor organizations working in low and moderate income communities across the United States. The Organizers’ Forum conducts Organizers’ Dialogues, where experienced  organizers reflect on strategy, innovative tactics, and international social movements.

Sounds like Obama’s peeps to me.

UPDATE:

More recent Voter fraud from Michelle Malkin: When it Rains, it Pours.

I’ve been keeping a list of voter fraud cases since last fall. I’ll update in the morning.

UPDATE II:

An Ohio man explains how ACORN pressured him into “vote scam”; says he registered to vote 10-15 times. He’s just one out of many thousands across the nation.

What percentage of ACORN’S fraudulent registrations do you think are actually caught? 10% maybe? Don’t Democrats want to win fair and square?

It’s time to put this racketeering outfit out of business. It’s obvious they’re not “non-partisan”. It’s obvious that their intent is to commit fraud in order to put their candidates into office.

ACORN MUST BE STOPPED!

They are in overdrive trying to steal this year’s election. And they may get away with it.

UPDATE III:

Sweetness And Light has the text of the 1st scrubbed link.

The second one can be found here.

Thanks to Lurking.

It sure would be nice if the MSM would do its job and report on Obama’s extensive links to Acorn, and his attempts to cover it up.

UPDATE IV:

The Feds now investigating ACORN in 10 different states?

Rush is saying the rumor is that the FBI is going to begin a RICO investigation of both the Obama campaign and ACORN!

UPDATE V:

The Kansas City Star is reporting that the FBI is planning to investigate the MO Jackson County fraud cases.

UPDATE VI (Oct. 10):

Hilarious.

Obama amends his Fight the Smears Site to include additional weasel words:

Fact: Barack was never an ACORN trainer and never worked for ACORN in any other capacity.

becomes:

Fact: ACORN never hired Obama as a trainer, organizer, or any type of employee.

He did it pro bono?!

Even worse!

  1. A great comprehensive post on all of this. I am getting ready to post on the same thing. As residents of Missouri, you and I know all too well how despicable Acorn is.

  2. With regard to the second pulled link, a search on google for a snip of text in the description of: Towards A Chicago School of Youth Organizing By: Alyson Parham and Jeff Pinzino

“occupied a special place in the American mind. As the symbolic capitol”

you get a link and html version of:

The link to the document is dead, but the Google HTML version is at:

  4. ARE THE POLLS TO BE BELIEVED ???
I, like many Americans believe that character, honesty, and integrity really do go to the foundation of who the next president should be.Obama is ahead in the polls because Obama is dramatically outspending McCain with television advertising … he has a biased media in the tank, who provides him with more and better exposure, and editorial endorsement … Obama has 96% of the black vote … he enjoys the relentless support of a completely biased entertainment industry, plus the left wing educational community, plus massive illegal, or unethical fund raising, and voter registration drives, by groups like Acorn … not to mention the fact that thanks to democratic propaganda, McCain has to carry Bush’s weight. At this point in time, many Americans are also beginning to question the validity of the POLLS. Are they skewed, like the biased media? Do they truly reflect reality? Are the sample groups mostly black voters? If the Democrats are so sure they’ve already won, how come they keep trying so hard to make the rest of us believe it? Just like they did against Hillary! There is a good chance that if we can keep voter fraud out of this election, that on November 4th, the actual voters, in the privacy of their booths, will elect McCain/Palin, by a comfortable margin. If you vote for Obama, you are also voting for voter fraud and a crooked media.
On November 4th cast your vote for McCain/Palin !!!
