Aerosmith Axeman Joe Perry Comes Out For McCain

Awwwwwesome:

Aerosmith has generally left the politics to bands like U2 and the Dixie Chicks, but axeman Joe Perry says national security and economic woes have prompted him to split from the rest of the entertainment world and throw his support behind John McCain.

“We pretty much stay out of it, but seeing so many people come out for Obama, I just felt like ‘What the hell, I might as well raise my hand for this side,” Perry said from his Duxbury home.

He’s not a new recruit either, he’s a lifelong Republican:

“I’ve been a hardcore Republican my whole life,” he told the Herald. “My mother and father drilled into me from the very start that if you work hard and be positive, you’ll get what you’re working for. I guess I’m living proof of that.”

Here’s Perry’s Rock Your World Website.

Here are some other well known rockers who vote Republican:

Alice Cooper, Gene Simmons, the surviving members of Lynyrd Skynyrd, ZZ Top, Foghat, Charlie Daniels, Johnny Ramone, Ted Nugent and Kid Rock.

Rock on dudes!

ACORN’s Bizarre Ad

McCain is trying to suppress your vote(s)?

Un-friggin-believable.

When I saw the ad last night, I couldn’t help but wonder if it was a cryptic message to voters who had registered illegally, to go out there and vote as many times as they wanted to.

The retail clothing store, The Gap, is apparently encouraging it:

Fausta says: The Gap doesn’t accept outside emails, (in case you’re thinking about complaining): 614 564 2077 this is the liason to the Customer Relations and CEO.

See Michelle Malkin for The Gap’s “garbly response”.

The McCain Campaign blasted Obama, today for his obvious ties to the corrupt organization:

Today, McCain-Palin 2008 campaign manager Rick Davis released the following statement in response to the testimony given by a former employee of an ACORN affiliate in a Pennsylvania court of law:

“Today’s testimony by a former employee of an ACORN affiliate proves Barack Obama is guilty of lying to the American people about his relationship with ACORN. At the last presidential debate, in front of sixty million people, Barack Obama said his campaign was not involved’ with ACORN. We now know that Barack Obama’s campaign was working hand-in-glove with an organization reportedly under investigation by the F.B.I. and in more than a dozen states. In addition to funneling $832,000 to ACORN for get-out-the-vote efforts, the Obama campaign and ACORN have been sharing donor lists, encouraging maxed-out Obama donors to contribute to this unethical organization.”

Good News (seen at Hillbuzz):

West Virginia will prosecute vote fraud aggressively

We are publicizing the fact that we will enforce the federal election laws in a hope that it will encourage people to abide by the laws.”

Just a warning to Obama/ACORN as we head into the election next week — any voter fraud you commit will be prosecuted in West Virginia.

All of the other states dealing with ACORN voter fraud should make similar announcements. Don’t hold your breath on Sec. of State Brunner of Ohio, chiming in, though.
