Video: Fox Profiles GZ Mosque Developer, Sharif El Gamal

Earlier today on Fox, Megan Kelly  featured a story  about Sharif El Gamal, the waiter turned real estate mogul. Finally, media outlets are doing their jobs, and asking where the money is coming from:

iOWNTHEWORLD is hot on the money trail of  Hisham Elzanaty, the co-signer on the Burlington Coat Factory mortgage.

Sharif  don’t like it:

Sorry, that song pops into my head every time I hear that name.

The Media’s Double Standard In Reporting Ground Zero Rallies (Part 2)

Monday, I wrote about the AP’s biased report on the dueling ground zero mosque rallies in NYC, August 22.

While the reporter covered the more obnoxious signage of  opponents, the mosque supporters (many of whom were card carrying commies) were handled with kid gloves. :

At the pro-mosque rally, staged a block away from opponents’ demonstration, several hundred people chanted, “Muslims are welcome here! We say no to racist fear!”

Dr. Ali Akram, a 39-year-old Brooklyn physician, came with his three sons and an 11-year-old nephew waving an American flag. He noted that scores of Muslims were among those who died in the towers, and he called those who oppose the mosque “un-American.”

Not mentioned was the obvious radical nature of the supporters, nor the anti-Semitic rhetoric, as seen in this video.

Today, another shocking video from the pro-mosque rally surfaced on YouTube. Keep in mind,  both rallies were  covered by the MSM, but it took an amateur photographer to record this incident.

Hasn’t this Holocaust survivor seen enough evil in his life?…

EXTREME LANGUAGE WARNING:

The AP reporter could have interviewed that guy. He should have interviewed that guy …but no…they didn’t want him to become the face of the pro-GZ mosque movement.

Instead, he chose to interview:

Dr. Ali Akram, a 39-year-old Brooklyn physician, came with his three sons and an 11-year-old nephew waving an American flag.

Can you guys make the bias a little less obvious, please? That’s all I ask.

Big Peace: Speaker at GZM Rally Witnesses Provocative Behavior from ABC News Staffer

Andrea S. Lafferty, a speaker at the anti-GZ mosque rally witnessed the following:

I noticed a man in black shirt with a phone camera aggressively questioning and haranguing a gentleman with the sign, “No Sharia Here.” He was very aggressive, disrespectful and condescending; apparently, he did not like the gentlemen’s answers about Shariah and pushed the point: “Why do you feel threatened? What are you afraid of? Why can’t you answer my questions?”

Read her full report where she concludes:

Clearly, the ABC employee’s role at the rally was to provoke a confrontation with participants so ABC News cameras could record it and then use the footage.  The ABC employee was literally making news.

Amazingly enough, just a block or so away, an unhinged lefty moonbat was providing any cameramen willing to push the record button with  amazing material for the 6:00 news. Less work involved, too…no mischievous prompting or provoking necessary. Easy peasy, right?

But then,  that material didn’t exactly  fit their preferred narrative.

Report: Russ Carnahan Office Bombing An Inside Job

When Congressman Russ Carnahan’s finance office was “firebombed” in St. Louis, last week, local libs were quick to point the finger.

Police aren’t releasing the man’s name until charges are officially filed. No motive was given for the attack, though one could suspect that the perpetrator is not a fan of the congressman. Given what we know of him — 50, white, angry — he certainly fits the demographics of a Tea Party member.

It turns out that, no, the perpetrator was not a “Tea Party member”.  But the perp may “certainly fit” the political persuasion  of the writer of that piece, Chad Garrison of the RFT.

Gateway Pundit reports that things got “really weird” after the bombing made the news:

The police released the suspect and the Carnahan camp went silent. Carnahan employees were seen dumping documents into a dumpster but refused to to talk to reporters. There was a complete blackout on information.

Now we know why.

The suspect was reportedly a disgruntled progressive activist employed by Russ Carnahan. An unnamed source familiar with the case released the information. Suspect Chris Powers reportedly was upset because he did not get paid so he firebombed the Carnahan finance offices at 2 in the morning.
What a complete shock.

***

Chris Powers is also a TPM blogger under the name Ripper McCord.

He has been active in the progressive movement for years.

Dana Loesch has some excellent questions, if this report turns out to be true:

Did the Carnahan camp know this possible truth and consent by silence to the media’s attempt to trump this up as a tea party incident? If this is true, doesn’t this make the fourth incident in which people associated with the Carnahan campaign have run afoul of the law and have engaged in illegal behavior? Why didn’t the Russ Carnahan campaign correct the narrative of the local alternative weekly and Jake Wagman’s subtle suggestion that it was a tea partier? Because he’s in the campaign of his life and is desperate for anything, even the sympathy vote?

The alternative weekly’s heinously irresponsible “blogger” – who once admitted, in print, his inability to vet his posts because he lacked the skills to write ten posts a day and be accurate – and the daily’s Jake Wagman need to issue retractions and clarifications, respectively, and the Russ Carnahan campaign needs to issue an apology for allowing this charade to be pinned on the very people whom he seeks to represent.

See The Dana Show for videos of Powers in action at the infamous McCaskill townhall, last summer, where he harassed tea party activists, and called them “morons” for opposing government run health care.

Michelle Malkin was reminded of another vandalism attack that was blamed on tea partiers.

Since opponents of the the left tend to be peaceful, law-abiding citizens, lefties often resort to perpetrating hoaxes.

Or keeping quiet in the midst of false accusations even when they know the truth.

Disgraceful.

Radical GZ Mosque Imam Claims Obama’s Cairo Speech Borrowed Talking Points From Cordoba Initiative.

Obama’s Muslim speech in Cairo was delivered to usher in a new era of peace and understanding between the United States and the Muslim world.  But many parts of the speech rang untrue, and sounded disingenuous to western ears.

Melanie Phillips wrote at the time:

For his egregious sanitising of Islam and its history, and his absurd claims about its contribution to western civilisation, read Robert Spencer here. But in this regard, one of Obama’s references in particular made me catch my breath. It was this:

The Holy Koran teaches that whoever kills an innocent, it is as if he has killed all mankind; and whoever saves a person, it is as if he has saved all mankind.

This is boilerplate misrepresentation by Islamists and their apologists. The fact is that it is Judaism which teaches this as a cardinal precept. The Talmud states:

Whoever destroys a single soul, he is guilty as though he had destroyed a complete world; and whoever preserves a single soul, it is as though he had preserved a whole world.

The Koran appropriated this precept – but altered it to mean something very different. Thus (verses 5:32-5:35):

That was why we laid it down for the Israelites that whoever killed a human being, except as punishment for murder or other villainy in the land, shall be regarded as having killed all mankind; and that whoever saved a human life shall be regarded as having saved all mankind. Our apostles brought them veritable proofs: yet many among them, even after that, did prodigious evil in the land. Those that make war against God and His apostle and spread disorder in the land shall be slain or crucified or have their hands and feet cut off on alternate sides, or be banished from the land. (My emphasis)

In other words, this turns a Talmudic precept affirming the value of preserving human life into a prescription for violence and murder against Jews and ‘unbelievers’. Yet Obama passed it off as evidence of the pacific nature of Islam.

Charles Krauthammer hammered Obama hard for a speech he felt was antagonistic toward Israel.

Obama says he came to Cairo to tell the truth. But he uttered not a word of that. Instead, among all the bromides and lofty sentiments, he issued but one concrete declaration of new American policy: “The United States does not accept the legitimacy of continued Israeli settlements,” thus reinforcing the myth that Palestinian misery and statelessness are the fault of Israel and the settlements.

Blaming Israel and picking a fight over “natural growth” may curry favor with the Muslim “street.” But it will only induce the Arab states to do like Abbas:

Sit and wait for America to deliver Israel on a platter.

Which makes the Obama strategy not just dishonorable but self-defeating.

Now, it comes out that America’s favorite Imam may have been the great Islamic thinker behind much of  the speech.

Special Guests reports:

The Shoebat Foundation has obtained a shocking audio recording of Rauf’s own voice boasting in Arabic that Obama’s historic speech in Cairo was provided by the Imam’s work with the Cordova Initiative in what the Imam called “The Blue Print” which, according to him, was the solution to the Islamic-American divide. Rauf claimed that Chapter 6 of the Imam’s work engineered by the Cordova Initiative was the construct for the entire speech:

This is an example of the impact of our work in a positive way to be used by the President.”

“The blue print,” Rauf elaborated, included everything from U.S. policy to Jewish and Christian relations with Muslims.

For an Imam in New York to be involved in the orchestrating U.S. foreign policy is quite the claim. In the recording dated February 5th, 2010 Rauf boasted that:

“We have to look at it [as] how to engineer solutions. At the Cordova Initiative we think of ourselves as an engineering shop. Yes. We have an analytical approach. Our work has been that. IN THE BOOK CHAPTER 6, I WROTE ABOUT THIS BLUE PRINT as to WHAT HAS TO BE DONE BY THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, what has to be done by the Jewish community, what has to be done by the Christian community, what has to be done by the Muslim community, what has to be done by educators, what has to be done by the media. For example, IN MY BOOK IN THE ARABIC VERSION page 293, what did I write? WHAT ARE THE THINGS THAT THE UNITED STATES NEEDS TO DO. IF YOU EXAMINE THIS CHAPTER YOU WILL FIND THAT THE OBAMA SPEECH IN CAIRO WAS ALL TAKEN FROM THIS SECTION [Section 6]. When you do a job that is very complicated. You ask yourself, what have you accomplished. All these problems can be solved but requires the will to solve it. It requires political will, resources and the right focus. The signs of how to go to the moon was known 200 years ago, but the political will and financial will for it happened during 1960-1961. When John Kennedy said that we will send an American to the moon before the end of the 60’s, he established the financial resources and the political will.”

The story was even collaborated in a written article in an interview with Hani Al-Waziri of Egypt. The clue was revealed while Rauf was answering a question regarding President Barack Obama’s speech in which Rauf replied:

“The speech was wonderful and wise in his choice of words, the Prime Minister of Malaysia after the speech disclosed to me that it is now easy for any president of a Muslim country to establish good relations with America, and I AM NOT GOING TO HIDE FROM YOU THAT ONE OF THOSE WHO PARTICIPATED IN WRITING THE SPEECH, TRANSFERRED ENTIRE PARTS OF MY BOOK ‘A NEW VISION FOR MUSLIMS AND THE WEST’, which he referred to U.S. interests being compatible with top interests of the Muslim world”.

Rauf did not disclose the name of this speechwriter that included Rauf’s work in president Obama’s historic address to the Muslim world. It is crucial to note that the Arabic version of Feisal Abdul Rauf’s book was published in Malaysia titled “A CALL TO PRAYER, FROM THE WORLD TRADE CENTER RUBBLE: ISLAMIC DAWA (SUMMONS TO ISLAM) IN THE HEART OF AMERICA POST-9/11.”

You can listen to the audio at Gateway Pundit.

Liberals for years have blamed GW Bush for America’s low standing in the world, even though global public opinion polls should not provide guidance for policy-making.

And now, even after Obama’s much lauded Cairo speech, his apology tour,  his bowing and scraping, and self promotionhis approval numbers in the Muslim world have tanked:

…the newest edition of the Arab Public Opinion Poll by Shibley Telhami of the Brookings Institution reveals an even more dramatic decline in President Obama’s approval ratings among Arab publics in six major countries. In just one year, the percentage of Arabs having positive views of Obama declined from 45 percent to 20 percent, while his disapproval ratings in the Arab world skyrocketed from 23 percent to 62 percent.

He’s even more disliked in the Muslim world, than he is, here.

Heckuva job, there, Rauf.

David Limbaugh Calls Obama, “The Most Destructive President In American History”, In Bestseller, “Crimes Against Liberty”

From what I’m hearing, David Limbaugh’s new book, Crimes Against Liberty is THE must-read political book of this election year. After listening to his appearance on The Mark Levin Show, tonight,  it sounds like a compact version of what I, and many other bloggers in the conservative blogosphere have been frantically writing about since Obama first appeared on our radar screens. This particular customer was  something we’d never seen before as a candidate for high office in this country, (and I’m not talking about the color of his skin, or his “funny name”).

I, for one, realized he was a bad egg, the minute I saw his record of opposition to the Born Alive Infant Protection Act in Illinois. Then I noticed the unnerving pattern of radical supporters and commie friends. Then, I noticed the jarring ease in which he told bold-faced lies. And finally, I noticed his narcissistic qualities, and tendency to bully until he gets his way.

After Obama was elected, he was everything we had feared he would be, and then some.

David Limbaugh sums it all up in his just released book, Crimes Against Liberty: An Indictment of President Barack Obama, which immediately shot up to #2 on the Amazon best seller list.

In it, he pulls no punches… indeed, he told Mark Levin that he believed we were dealing with a de facto dictator, at this point.    Levin agreed.

David Limbaugh’s appeared on Hannity, Monday, to promote the book:

Transcript, here.

Megyn Kelly interviewed Limbaugh, on Tuesday:

The Daily Caller is publishing a three part series of excerpts from  the the book, part one is here.

A taste:

His abundantly documented radical background soured his taste on America, compelling him to believe America’s wealth and power were “inherited,” rather than inspired by America’s god-fearing founders, who crafted a government designed to establish and maximize individual liberties—a government that has been preserved with the blood, sweat, and tears of generations of Americans.

Ironically, Obama’s domestic policy, foreign policy, and national security prescriptions are the opposite of what America needs. In transforming America to “spread the wealth around,” he is actually spreading the misery around, burying us in debt, and potentially enslaving us to our foreign creditors.

He is reaping destruction in America’s culture, its Constitution, and in every sector of the American economy (save the public sector), administering one kick in the gut after another and inflicting damage from which it will be difficult to recover.

While holding himself out as a post-partisan, post-racial president, he has exacerbated racial tensions, inflamed partisan divisiveness, engaged in acrimonious class warfare, and demonized anyone to the political right of the late Ted Kennedy.

Who is Barack Obama? To say that he has an enormous ego is an understatement. Many commentators, including psychological analysts and foreign leaders, have described him as a narcissist.

Obama’s patent self-confidence is not just posturing. It’s evident he truly believes he is special. He did, after all, pen two largely autobiographical books before he had accomplished much of anything. He once told campaign aide Patrick Gaspard, “I think that I’m a better speechwriter than my speechwriters. I know more about policies on any particular issue than my policy directors. And I’ll tell you right now that . . . I’m a better political director than my political director.”

Obama’s belief that he is a gift to the world is a theme he would carry forward into his presidency. He truly believes he alone has the power to reverse the mess America has allegedly made of world affairs, and that only he can restore America’s supposedly tattered reputation.

Indeed, it often seems that for our president, American policy is not about the United States, but about him personally. At the Summit of the Americas, Obama sat through a 50-minute harangue against the United States by Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, who eviscerated the United States for a century of “terroristic” aggression in Central America. When it was Obama’s turn, he did not defend the United States, but made himself the issue: “I’m grateful that President Ortega did not blame me for things that happened when I was three months old.”

Part three will be posted at The Caller on Wednesday.
