Who’s Ready For an October Surprise?

I’m not going to link to the countdown website because as many have already noted – it has a definite hactivist feel to it.

William Jacobson reported on this story, earlier today:

The tweets for the website (private to protect their sources) say the campaign knows about it and is scared. “It has the potential to change the election into a landslide.” This will come out right before the last debate on Monday and I would guess if it is truly something, it will shake the guilty one to the core (fingers crossed it is Obama).

I can’t see anti-Obama voters suddenly voting for him en masse after we have documented his illegal moves for the last 4 yrs (they would stay home if anything) but I could see some Obama voters seeing the light. Some, alas, will NEVER see the light even if he killed Hillary on the White House lawn in broad daylight by chewing off her head high on bath salts, as long as they get their freebies.

The link is to An October Surprise, which promises a game changing document release on October 22,  just before the final debate:

One of your presidential candidates isn’t being honest with you. Stay tuned to find out which one it is.

Most people who have examined the blurred and redacted documents at Buzzfeed seem to think they look like tax forms – if so –  we’re looking  at Obama’s political henchmen playing a very dirty trick weeks before an election in the same manner Obama/Axelrod did to his political opponents in Chicago.

Remember:  Obama’s signature move: unsealing private records.

Mitt Romney presents one enormous problem for Barack Obama’s campaign: No divorce records. That’s why the media are so hot to get their hands on Romney’s tax records for the past 25 years. They need something to “pick through, distort and lie about” — as the Republican candidate says.

Obama’s usual campaign method, used in 100 percent of his races, has been to pry into the private records of his opponents.

Democrats aren’t going to find any personal dirt on the clean-cut Mormon, so they need complicated tax filings going back decades in order to create the illusion of scandal out of boring financial records.

LI commenter Austin G. Hart did some sleuthing and managed to find an Occupy link.

Interesting. The teaser image that they posted in their twitter feed (http://t.co/cxtql58Y) looks different than the document they link to at Buzzfeed (http://www.buzzfeed.com/wiowsa/one-of-your-presidential-candidates-isnt-being-ho-4afz).

All the WHOIS info on the octsurprise website is private because they appear to have used a third party to register the domain (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/octsurprise.com), but I wanted to follow what trail there was, if any, with the Buzzfeed poster.

The buzzfeed image appears to have been posted by a person with the handle WIOPSA which appears to stand for “What Is Occupy Wall Street About” (http://www.buzzfeed.com/wiowsa). Their profile links to whatisoccupywallstreetabout.com. WHOIS info doesn’t reveal the name of the individual that registered the (now expired) domain, but it does have an email address (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/whatisoccupywallstreetabout.com). This same email address is associated with another domain name registration (http://www.networksolutions.com/whois-search/scatterfamily.com) that does list the account owner who appears to live in the Chicago area. A Google search did turn up a result for a person by that name who worked in that area (http://media.illinois.edu/images/_docs/alumni/alumninews_W08.pdf) who is or was an IT creative director for a TV channel, but I don’t know that they’re the same person. You can do a Google search yourself to see what other results come up – there were plenty of others.

Now, Just because the twitter account linked to the Buzzfeed image doesn’t mean the two are associated. And just because the person that posted the image at buzzfeed linked to the occupy website doesn’t mean they are related either. So the connections are tenuous and may not mean anything, but that’s all there was to go on.

Another LI commenter, Jack Sunday,  wrote:

This document => https://pbs.twimg.com/media/A5Ry869CAAEbHEn.jpg:large definitely has the Commonwealth of Massachusetts shield in the left hand corner. The second document in this array http://s3-ak.buzzfed.com/static/imagebuzz/web03/2012/10/17/16/6-docs-25763-1350504119-8.jpg, where everything is redacted, most likely has the Massachusetts Department of Revenue medallion in the upper left corner. See this example here => http://www.mass.gov/dor/docs/dor/forms/corp10/355/sch-cg.pdf

These are Commonwealth of Massachusetts documents, I’m afraid.

On the other hand, Mitt Romney has been poked, prodded and vetted to the nth degree. I see pyrite ahead.

This has the rancid smell of David Axelrod’s Chicago operation all over it.

Ann Coulter said it best just a few months ago: “It’s almost like a serial killer’s signature. Unsealed personal records have been released to the press. Obama must be running for office!”

One month before the 2004 Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate, Obama was down in the polls, about to lose to Blair Hull, a multimillionaire securities trader. But then the Chicago Tribune leaked the claim that Hull’s second ex-wife, Brenda Sexton, had sought an order of protection against him during their 1998 divorce proceedings.

Those records were under seal, but as The New York Times noted: “The Tribune reporter who wrote the original piece later acknowledged in print that the Obama camp had ‘worked aggressively behind the scenes’ to push the story.” Many people said Axelrod had “an even more significant role — that he leaked the initial story.”

Both Hull and his ex-wife opposed releasing their sealed divorce records, but they finally relented in response to the media’s hysteria — 18 days before the primary. Hull was forced to spend four minutes of a debate detailing the abuse allegation in his divorce papers, explaining that his ex-wife “kicked me in the leg and I hit her shin to try to get her to not continue to kick me.”

After having held a substantial lead just a month before the primary, Hull’s campaign collapsed with the chatter about his divorce. Obama sailed to the front of the pack and won the primary. Hull finished third with 10 percent of the vote.

As luck would have it, Obama’s opponent in the general election had also been divorced! Jack Ryan was tall, handsome, Catholic — and shared a name with one of Harrison Ford’s most popular onscreen characters! He went to Dartmouth, Harvard Law and Harvard Business School, made hundreds of millions of dollars as a partner at Goldman Sachs, and then, in his early 40s, left investment banking to teach at an inner city school on the South Side of Chicago.

Ryan would have walloped Obama in the Senate race. But at the request of — again — the Chicago Tribune, California Judge Robert Schnider unsealed the custody papers in Ryan’s divorce five years earlier from Hollywood starlet Jeri Lynn Ryan, the bombshell Borg on “Star Trek: Voyager.”

Jack Ryan had released his tax records. He had released his divorce records. But both he and his ex-wife sought to keep the custody records under seal to protect their son.

Amid the 400 pages of filings from the custody case, Jack Ryan claimed that his wife had had an affair, and she counterclaimed with the allegation that he had taken her to “sex clubs” in Paris, New York and New Orleans, which drove her to fall in love with another man.

***

And that’s how Obama became a U.S. senator. He destroyed both his Democratic primary opponent and his Republican general election opponent with salacious allegations about their personal lives taken from “sealed” court records.

Obama’s team delved into Sarah Palin’s marriage and spread rumors of John McCain’s alleged affair in 2008 and they smeared Herman Cain in 2011 with hazy sexual harassment allegations all emanating from David Axelrod’s pals in Chicago.

They weren’t able to “shame” Romney into releasing all of his tax records after harping about it all year because as Romney said himself, last July –   it would provide “hundreds of pages” for opponents to “distort” and turn into attacks against his candidacy.

So now we’re at defcon 3:  Romney is on track to “wallop” Obama in the 2012 Presidential race. Time to unseal some personal records.

Another dopier “October Surprise” comes to us via Ace: Just A Heads Up: The Leftist Outrage Factory Is Gearing Up:

I’m not going to link the lefty gals who are pushing this, but there’s audio of Tagg Romney saying he wanted to take a swing at Obama for calling his dad a liar.

Oh, whatever. I respect him more for saying that than the disingenuous – “We think Obama is a nice guy, but in over his head” garbage. Truth is – he wants to smack him in the face. After all the things they’ve said about his dad, (dog abuser, tax cheat, felon, murderer, etc) I don’t blame him.

Unanswered Questions: Who Denied Security to the Benghazi Consulate? (Video)

Lost in the furor over Candy Crowley’s disgraceful assist to Obama on the Benghazi question, that she later had to walk back –  is the fact that Obama didn’t even begin to answer the question that was asked of him.

Ben Howe, of Revealing Politics,  decided to correct that oversight with another excellent video: Unanswered Questions: Who Denied Security to the Benghazi Consulate?:

Just like he had done earlier in the day, he walked away from the question.

It was only through Crowley’s audacious interventions that Obama was able to come out of the debate not looking like the complete SCOAMF he is on national security.

Once again, Jacob Turk, the Republican candidate for US Congress in Missouri district 5 was forced to debate an empty podium.

Reporters Applaud Obama After Lame Class Envy Joke (Video)

This is the part of the debate where Obama’s repeated attacks on Romney’s wealth blew up in his face.

He flailed around helplessly, pleading with his debate partner, Crowley to step in and save him after Mitt asked him if he’d looked at his own pensions. Romney destroyed Obama by pointing out that through his own pensions, he has investments in Chinese companies, companies outside the United States and investments through a Cayman trust – a brutal line of attack that exposed Obama’s rank hypocrisy on the issue. Bam’s big comeback after stuttering and pleading with Crowley to change the subject was, “I don’t look at my pension – it’s not as big as yours so it doesn’t take as long,” which provoked nervous titters among the audience, but didn’t make any sense…if your pension doesn’t take as long to look at, wouldn’t it be more likely for you to have seen what’s in it? Okayyyy… the  supposed “zinger” was that “Mitt’s is bigger than mine” which is pretty pathetic but guess who loved it?

Via The Washington Times: Reporters applaud Obama’s slam on Romney’s wealth:

“You know, I don’t look at my pension. It’s not as big as yours, so it — it doesn’t take as long,” Mr. Obama retorted. His reply prompted laughter in the debate hall where the two men were squaring off — but across the way in the separate room where the press was stationed, a brief round of applause broke out.

Apparently, to Obama, high energy prices are a positive development – a sign of a healthy economy. Mission accomplished, Obama!

No one in the MSM is going to ask Obama about that bizarre answer, so down the memory hole it goes.
