Video: Palin In Israel

Sarah Palin was mobbed by paparazzi after she visited the Western Wall tunnels in Israel, on Sunday.

Aaron Klein reported for Fox News, this morning, that although most Israelis have never heard of Palin, they know she’s pro-Israel, and they appreciate that:

DaylifeJERUSALEM, ISRAEL – MARCH 21: In this handout image provided by the Israeli Government Press Office, Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (2L) and her husband Todd Palin (L) meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu (R) and his wife Sara Netanyahu

AFP reports on her dinner with Netanyahu:

Sarah Palin, darling of the US Republican right, joined Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for dinner at his Jerusalem residence on Monday on the second day of a “private visit” to Israel.

The meeting, at which the two were accompanied by their spouses, was off-limits to the media, and Netanyahu’s office did not immediately publish any statement.

A photograph released by the Israeli Government Press Office showed the two couples standing in front of the Israeli and United States flags in the residence.

The former Alaska governor arrived on Sunday afternoon with her husband Todd and went straight to Jerusalem’s walled Old City where she visited the Western Wall, the most sacred site where Jews are allowed to pray.

Palin plans to visit Christian sites in Northern Israel before she leaves the country, tomorrow.  AFP reports that she plans on returning in the coming months for “an official visit”. Wonder what that’s all about…

Legal Insurrection: “Why are you apologizing all the time?”

With that single sentence made to her Israeli hosts, Sarah Palin demonstrated a greater understanding of the problems confronting Israel than the collective wisdom of all the J.D.’s, Ph.D’s, and Masters of International Affairs in the Obama administration combined.

The question was profound, as simple as it were, because it addressed the narrative of perpetual Palestinian victimization and grievance.

  1. AFP: “Sarah Palin, darling of the US Republican right…”

I thought the AFP understood subtle. There’s a difference between Republican and conservative. You can be sure the GOP leadership doesn’t find Palin to be a darling as much as a thorn.

The Sara’Cuda must have been impressed by the Wailing Wall. What a powerful connection to our faith this place must have.

  5. What an embarrassm¬ent to have her traveling abroad visiting other countries and their leaders like she’s the president-¬elect; spewing forth her word salad and having these countries think that this is the best the USA has to offer as presidenti¬al candidates¬.Unfortunat¬ely, nothing will be done about this–ever¬yone’s too afraid of Palin to push the issue. She gets away with so much because she cries foul and plays the victim. People, particular¬ly men, don’t want to appear to be picking on her cuz she’s a woman. And that she got a foot in the door is criminal itself!

  7. Atlantaroofing: She’s an embarrasment? I was damn proud of her. You Palin haters should look in the mirror if you want to see “embarrasing.” She can’t win. If she stays in Alaska she’s a hillbilly. If she travels to other states you want her to stay put. You all but laughed at her because she wasn’t “worldly” enough for your high standards. I didn’t hear much complaint about Mike Huckabee going to Israel or a few other men that ran for President. She was the GOP Vice-Presidential nominee for Christ’s sake. She “plays” the victim? Did you see what the MSM did to her and her family during the election? How about trying to make her responsible for the shootings in Arizona? She’s got “her foot in the door” because she was the party’s VP nominee, like every VP nominee in both parties has been. She’s got “her foot in the door” because she was a successful governor and she stands on her principles like Ronal Reagan did and she’s got more guts than most of the politicians out there right now. At a time when our President is not only showing weakness, he’s showing disdain for Israel at a very dangerous time it was exactly the time when someone should be going over there and letting them know that there are plenty of Americans that support them and there are politicians that aren’t looking for their support but who are supporting THEM in their time of need. If the politicians are “too afraid” of her then what business do they have running for President? SHE’s not afraid of anybody, she fights back, she’s not ashamed of her moral standards and the way she chooses to live her life according to her beliefs. She doesn’t apologize for her country and our way of life and if you haven’t noticed she’s the first one, not the last one, to call out the President of the United States when he needs to be called out for something. Clearly, there’s no double standard in politics when it comes to men and women… shouldn’t Joe Biden be home taking care of his kids instead of going to Russia? Do you think Joe Biden’s son is really is grandson? She’s a natural born leader. Our POTUS is a natural born bullshit artist and strategizer. One leads by her convictions and her love of country and its people, the other does it for politics and strategic reasons so as to get elected again. Palin is as steady and solid as a rock, the other one dithers and spews platitudes in an attempt to deceive. One cares more about ideas and right or wrong at her own expense often times and the other cares about how he can con people into voting for him again, how he can spin things. One faces an army of hostile MSM reporters every day and the other has to wipe his shoes off after an interview. Sarah Palin is the closest thing I’ve seen to Margaret Thatcher. I hope her next stop is England so she can repair what our current President has done to that relationship as well.
