Video:Chris Wallace Interviews Jim Towey On Death Pamphlet For Veterans

Sunday, on Fox, Chris Wallace interviewed Jim Towey, the former director of President Bush’s White House Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives about the VA re-implemented pamphlet: “Your Life – Your Choice“.

Towey, an attorney  has worked on end-of-life issues and served as legal counsel to none other than Mother Teresa.

A sane person should have been able to discern an informed, morally grounded man making those arguments.

I love how fox news (owned by Murdoch) refers to a wall street journel article (owned by Murdoch) to aid in their propaganda.
what’s sad is that there are some highly educated people in this country that actually believe this crap… well yet again a lot of these people believe in religion too…

Disgusting! Jim Towey was part of a White House that fed the people fear in propoganda and this is ongoing. Stop the madness. Faux News spreads lies and chaos.

Chris Wallace is a horrible broadcaster who engages this Partisan Rhetoric…Remember, this is the putz who stood so hard against Clinton because Clinton got his stick wet. Sexually frustrated, confused Chris Wallace should go back to sleep.

is the news not regulated in the U.S?
in the UK the news is regulated by a watchdog and has to be impartial and there is heavy penalties for lies!

freedom of speech… yeah well if there were penalties fox would be shut down…

yeah, we have freedom of speech over here, and we have panel shows where anyone can say anything but we have news regulated to stop lies and mis-information.

It’s amazing how the “all propaganda” network is blowing away all the competition.
Also amazing…and scary – these liberal fascists actually pine for more government control over the media, and the elimination of conservative voices.
Later on Chris Wallace interviewed the VA’s Tammy Duckworth. That interview didn’t go quite as smoothly:


I have respect and  appreciation for her for her service, and sacrifice, but wow, didn’t she seem to be dissembling, there?
Somehow, I suspect our YouTube truth brigade would fail to see it.

Remember this odd line from Michelle Obama, last year?:

Barack Obama will require you to work. He is going to demand that you . . .  move out of your comfort zones. That you push yourselves to be better. And that you engage. Barack will never allow you to go back to your lives as usual, uninvolved, uninformed.

Dang if she wasn’t right.

I found myself  before a microphone in front of 500 people at a town hall a couple weeks ago, something I could never have imagined two years ago. And I’ve joined thousands of others as they have taken to the streets with home made signs to protest the direction the country is going in – another thing I could never have imagined myself doing, until recently.

By now, many, perhaps most all of you have seen this highly satisfying video from a town hall in Washington state ,with an angry former Marine confronting congressman Brian “Brownshirts” Baird. Watch and savor it again:

I, David William Hedrick, a member of the silent majority, decided that I was not going to be silent anymore. So, I let U.S. Congressman Brian Baird have it. I was one questioner out of 38, that was called at random from an audience that started at 3,000 earlier in the evening. Not expecting to be called on, I quickly scratched what I wanted to say on a borrowed piece of paper and with a pen that I borrowed from someone else in the audience minutes before I spoke. So much for the planned talking points of the right wing conspiracy.

There are literally millions of people like Hendrick out there, who have been roused from complacency into action.

John Goodman from the WSJ explains the phenomenon:

Why are they so angry? The reasons are manifold, but the single biggest reason is the arrogance of our elected officials in Washington. Think about it. For the past seven months a small group of politicians has been meeting behind-closed-doors with powerful special interests to decide whether you will be able to keep your current insurance, where you will be directed to get new insurance and at what price, what fines you and your employer will have to pay if you don’t conform, and how they’re going to get your doctor to change the way he or she practices medicine. In the process, they never asked you what you thought about anything. If you are not mad about this, odds are you don’t understand the situation.

Those of us who do, have found ways to voice our concerns in ways heretofore unthought of.

As Howard Portnoy noted in the Greenroom:

If there’s one thing you can count on it’s that history will brand Barack Obama as “the popular-involvement president.”

Very very true. Michelle hit that one out of the park.

Finally, Conservatives Have Their Freedom Fighters

This kind of thing is happening all over the country, in town hall meeting after town hall meeting. And unlike the crowd the left has fielded for decades, the protesters are not hippies for hire, but mothers, construction workers, teachers, and citizens from every socioeconomic background who are concerned that freedom will be destroyed if ObamaCare is implemented.

Grassroots conservatism has finally fielded a group of freedom fighters, and it’s about time.

Incidentally, I just heard Sen. Specter tell Chris Wallace on Fox News that he’s sure his protesters were “organized” which he says, “is fine, that’s their right”…
