Leftwing Projection: Kimberlin Ally, Neal Raushauser Accuses Brandon Darby Of SWATting Bloggers

Brandon Darby, the right’s “Hottest” new media star.

Psychological projection or projection bias:

According to Sigmund Freud, projection is a psychologicaldefense mechanism whereby one “projects” one’s own undesirable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else. ‘Emotions or excitations which the ego tries to ward off are “split out” and then felt as being outside the ego…perceived in another person’.[4] It is a common process.[5] The related defense of ‘projective identification differs from projection in that the impulse projected onto an external object does not appear as something alien and distant from the ego because the connection of the self with that projected impulse continues’.[6]

An example of this behavior might be blaming another for self failure. The mind may avoid the discomfort of consciously admitting personal faults by keeping those feelings unconscious, and by redirecting libidinal satisfaction by attaching, or “projecting,” those same faults onto another person or object.

RS McCain, June 30, 2012:

It is genuinely amazing to think that anyone could read that 1981 article by Indianapolis Star reporter Joe Gelarden — please print it out and read the whole thing — without recognizing that Kimberlin’s characteristic modus operandi has scarcely changed in the past 30 years.

By accusing others of wrongdoing, Kimberlin seeks to evade responsibility for his own wrongdoing. What I’ve called the “accuse the accusers” strategy – which is also witnessed in the actions of Kimberlin’s associate Neal Rauhauser — looks very much like obstruction of justice.

Keep the above in mind as you read the following press release from The National Bloggers Club’s Ali Akbar.

DEMOCRAT OPERATIVE ACCUSES ACTIVIST
BRANDON DARBY OF “SWATTING” BLOGGERS;
NATIONAL BLOGGERS CLUB PLEDGES SUPPORT
FOR DARBY AND ALL LEGAL RECOURSE

AUSTIN, TX — Democratic operative and self-proclaimed “hacker” Neal Rauhauser has accused Brandon Darby of “SWATting.” Darby is a political activist and former FBI operative.

Darby has the full support of the National Bloggers Club, an organization that represents hundreds of bloggers and online journalists. The Club will raise funds (using KimberlinFiles.org) and encourage Darby to use all legal remedies in this clear case of defamation and explore pursuing criminal conspiracy options.

“Convicted domestic terrorist turned left-wing ideologue activist Brett Kimberlin runs two liberal non-profit organizations. His contracted employee, Neal Rauhauser, has accused one of our members of being the perpetrator of these illegal, coordinated attacks. We are standing with our members, many of whom — myself included — have been targeted by supporters of Brett Kimberlin,” said National Bloggers Club President Ali A. Akbar.
Akbar continued, “Darby is being defamed by this dangerous, bizarre fringe activist because he has dared to speak the name “Brett Kimberlin,” is a member of the National Bloggers Club, and associated with Andrew. Andrew associated himself with the Bloggers Club, I’ll associate the Club with Darby any day of the week.”
SWATting is the term used to describe the illegal use of technology to place an untraceable emergency call to falsely report a serious, violent crime. The caller typically gives the emergency dispatcher the address and personal information belonging to the victim, claiming that people in the house have been shot and that the caller is armed inside the home. By protocol, law enforcement then sends armed officers to the scene. Last week, after winning a courtroom victory in Maryland against Kimberlin, blogger Aaron Walker was targeted by a SWATting call that sent police to his Virginia home.
“Thank God no one has been killed as a result of SWATting — yet. I strongly believe the continued use of these tactics will result in a horrible tragedy — which is exactly what the perpetrators want,” said Akbar.

A couple of days ago, RS McCain interviewed Darby for his blog: Ten Questions for Brandon Darby.

He prefaced his report with a little background info on the conservative activist:

(If Brandon Darby isn’t No. 1 on the radical Left’s hate list, it’s only because they hate so many people they can’t keep track anymore. In 2008, Darby worked undercover with the FBI to foil a planned domestic terrorist attack on the Republican National Convention in Minneapolis. Since then, Darby has become a columnist for Breitbart.com. His courage was praised by the late Andrew Breitbart, and Darby spoke movingly of his friendship with Andrew at a March memorial service. In recent weeks, Darby has been paying close attention to the story surrounding Brett Kimberlin, Neal Rauhauser and the harassment of conservatives. He agreed to the following e-mail interview about the story. — RSM)

McCain asked Brandon about the allegations:

5. Recently, some people have actually tried to claim that you were responsible for SWATtings. What is that all about? Why you?

Let’s be clear: By some, you mean the Kimberlin/Rauhauser network and another network who is directly tied to them from Florida, the Matt Edelstein/Matt Osborne network.
The issue seems clear to me. Some parts of this network never intended to receive this much attention. Now they are realizing they are likely going to face justice and get caught. It seems they are now engaging in a preemptive defense strategy where they are making public allegations focusing on someone connected to the FBI, so that when they get busted they can claim that they were close to “uncovering the truth” and their charges are nothing more than political retribution from the FBI or an effort from the FBI to silence them for “getting too close” to the truth. Like it or not, that’s something the New York Times and their ideological Middle Eastern counterpart, Al Jazeera, would eat up. They might even nullify a jury with such a scheme, because it only takes one for them to get off.

It can now be said –virtually everything that these treacherous freaks allege should be taken as calculated lies. Some people have wondered if they believe their own lies — I’m here to tell you…no, they don’t. I haven’t been covering this story as comprehensively as Stacy McCain, Patterico, Aaron Worthing/Walker and others have, but I’ve been reading about it every day….and if there is anything that can be conclusively determined based on  McCain’s extensive, exclusive reports, it’s that these guys lie brazenly and profusely as a matter of course. For them, lying is a political tactic… They may be as crazy as loons but they know what they’re doing. They’re leaving a crooked trail of moldy, stinking breadcrumbs all over the internet for their fellow travelers on the left to pick up and ingest. They know that left-wing useful idiots will be deceived by their foul lies because they’re designed to reinforce their idiotic, false views about the right. Their tangled web of lies are also calculated to confuse and confound those who are searching for the truth – including reporters and  law enforcement.

Now, a word about Brandon Darby….

How would I describe this man? Well, from what I know of him, he’s a gentleman.

He is the old fashioned type who will stand up and offer his seat to a woman without one. Outside the Marriott at CPAC, last February, I was heading out to dinner with some friends and was held up when one particularly talkative one – *cough* blogger of the year *cough* lingered for a few minutes. Darby was sitting on a bench with some others, but when he saw me standing there, he jumped up and offered his seat to me – which I told him wasn’t necessary – we were heading out…but “how sweet of him”, I thought, and “Damn, do I look that old?”

That’s Brandon Darby,  a rare and exceptional individual, who a few years ago, started questioning his political worldview, and concluded he was wrong about most everything.

He’s the kind of guy who worked with the FBI to protect American citizens from people like Kimberlin and Rauhauser.

Good grief…Brandon Darby wouldn’t “SWAT” a fly.

  1. Reblogged this on Truth Before Dishonor and commented:
The Kriminal Kimberlin Krew keeps piling up the false allegations, the defamations of character, and the attempts to steal people’s Constitutional rights from them. And, as a very wise man once said, all it takes for evil (the Kriminal Kimberlin Krew) to succeed is for good men (like Nice Deb and TBD) to do nothing. Well, we ain’t doin’ nuttin. We’re keeping the spotlight on the roaches.
