DOJ Withheld ‘Fast and Furious’ Whistleblower Memo – Conservative Caucus Offers $100,000 For Evidence of White House Involvement

The Washington Guardian has obtained memos that show that the Obama administration was assigning whistleblower status to the agents who were exposing gunwalking to Mexican drug cartels, even as they were publicly denying said gunwalking. The Guardian reports that the documents outlining this are among those sought by congressional investigators, who have been met with a claim of executive privilege.

The Justice Department has withheld from Congress memos showing that senior officials inside the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives began preparing as early as February 2011 to treat the agents who unmasked the bungled Fast and Furious gun operation as whistleblowers.

The memos, obtained by the Washington Guardian, were triggered by the agents’ allegations, Justice officials confirmed. In them, ATF officials in Washington instructed field supervisors not to retaliate against the agents in Arizona who complained they had been ordered to let semiautomatic weapons flow to suspected straw buyers for Mexican drug cartels rather than interdicting them.

Even as the warning was being sent, Obama administration political appointees were publicly undercutting the agents’ credibility, insisting to Congress that ATF never knowingly let weapons cross the border into Mexico’s violent drug wars – a denial that turned out to be false.

Congressional investigators have been trying for months to get additional Fast and Furious documents from the administration, which has countered with a claim of executive privilege. Justice officials said they did not turn over the whistleblower memos because they did not believe they were responsive to earlier congressional subpeonas and requests.

Rest here.

Romney to go on the Attack – Now it’s Personal

Not to sound like a broken record, but yeah, this is what the right has been begging him to do for months. Instead Obama got the kids gloves treatment.

Via Buzzfeed:

In speeches from Des Moines to Dallas, Romney has always been careful to hedge his tough digs at Obama with a civil nod toward the president’s moral character: “He’s a nice guy,” the Republican has often said. “He just has no idea how the private economy works.” But Tuesday’s speech included no such hedge — and one campaign adviser said there’s a reason for that.

“[Romney] has said Obama’s a nice fellow, he’s just in over his head,” the adviser said. “But I think the governor himself believes this latest round of attacks that have impugned his integrity and accused him of being a felon go so far beyond that pale that he’s really disappointed. He believes it’s time to vet the president. He really hasn’t been vetted; McCain didn’t do it.”

Um….

Maybe the MSM didn’t vet him, but some of us have been vetting the President for going on five years. And we told you this would happen. Why are we surprised that a thoroughly corrupt, Alinsky-following,  Chicago politician is playing by corrupt Chicago rules? GOOD GRIEF.

Indeed, facing what the candidate and his aides believe to be a series of surprisingly ruthless, unfounded, and unfair attacks from the Obama campaign on Romney’s finances and business record, the Republican’s campaign is now prepared to go eye for an eye in an intense, no-holds-barred act of political reprisal, said two Romney advisers who spoke on condition of anonymity. In the next chapter of Boston’s pushback — which began last week when they began labeling Obama a “liar” — very little will be off-limits, from the president’s youthful drug habit, to his ties to disgraced Chicago politicians.

“I mean, this is a guy who admitted to cocaine use, had a sweetheart deal with his house in Chicago, and was associated and worked with Rod Blagojevich to get Valerie Jarrett appointed to the Senate,” the adviser said. “The bottom line is there’ll be counterattacks.”

Okay, here’s a counterattack for ya: Obama’s Top Bundler Jonathan Lavine Was In Charge of Bain During GST Steel Layoffs.

Or how about: Democrat Donors Raking in Billions for ‘Green’ Scams, Funnel Money Back to Obama.

Speaking of Green scams: Blockbuster: O’Keefe exposes Union bosses admitting green jobs are just “bullsh-t”

How about taking Trump’s advice: DONALD TRUMP Piles On: Demands Obama Release College Transcripts – Passport Records

Honestly, referencing Obama’s past drug use seems a little  desperate and below the belt. There is so much low hanging fruit around this guy, there’s no need to go there.

Commie Van Jones Calls Dear Leader’s Anti-Business Comments “Deepest Form of Patriotism” (Video)

Sensible Americans from coast to coast were appalled by Obama’s  insinuation that success in this country is not possible without the government’s help.

Patriotic Americans such as Jimmie Bise saw it as an attack on the American way a life:

Not only is it a rip-off, but it’s also bog-standard left-wing cant and nonsense on stilts. Yes, the President was wrong, and I’ll give you some numbers in just a moment to prove it, but he was also boring. What he said is what progressives have said for more than a century. It wasn’t true in Soviet Russia, in Nazi Germany, in fascist Italy, in poor and oppressed Cuba, or in starving and shivering North Korea. It has not been true anywhere nor at any time. Free markets bring innovation, health, and prosperity for any who will work hard enough to get it. Collectivism brings stultification, sickness, and desperate want for everyone. Everything our government builds in this country, from roads to schools, we pay for. The beauty of our system of government is that we all pitch in to pay for the things we all find worthy of our money. Now, that system has been perverted horribly, mostly by those of Barack Obama’s ilk who demand we pay for things they find worthy of our money but not theirs, but that doesn’t mean the system is bad.

Obama’s former Green Czar,  Van Jones would definitely qualify as one of  “those of Barack Obama’s ilk who demand we pay for things they find worthy of our money”  – like Solyndra, for instance.

Van Jones, the Obama administration’s disgraced former “Green Czar,” appeared on Bill Maher’s little-known HBO show to explain what happened with Solyndra, the green energy company that went bankrupt after absorbing hundreds of millions of taxpayer dollars. He said that it was “almost criminal” for Republicans to question the Obama loans to Solyndra. Then he went further:

Republicans tried to make the word Solyndra this kind of horrible world and like ‘Oh my God’ … it’s still fine for them to do this war on American technology

This is quasi-treasonous from my point of view. How can you let American industry be wiped out?

He got his usual round of applause from the cheering parrots who inhabit the seats at Maher’s show, but the facts are simple: Solyndra was a massive waste of taxpayer money. Americans have a right to be angry about it. And they are.

So it should be no surprise that in a recent appearance on the Ed Schmultz show, (where they laughably tried to make the case that Dear Leader was “taken out of context”), Jones said he couldn’t agree with Obama anti-business remarks, more.

The Blaze reported:

“This is the deepest form of patriotism,” Jones told Schultz. “Here you have the President of the United States saying something that is absolutely obvious to the whole world and everybody in this country: America‘s government has been a partner to America’s business community, that is a part of the beauty of America. It is deep patriotism to point that out.”

He continued, “When he starts showing the most love and the most enthusiasm for the country, that’s when they go after him.”

Schultz even tried to argue the outrage over Obama’s controversial comments is being manufactured by the “desperate” right-wing and the Romney campaign in an attempt to “get rid of the Bain story,” referring to the Obama campaign’s provably false claims that Mitt Romney oversaw the outsourcing of jobs while he was in charge at Bain Capital.

Content warning: The following video may cause violent mood swings and/or projectile vomiting.

Do I have to state the obvious here? Van Jones, a man who protested against his country  with other anti-American vermin in Oakland California the day after 9/11/2001, has given up his right to tell fellow Americans what is and is not patriotic. Such a man’s views on patriotism are so twisted and perverted most Americans wouldn’t recognize them.

In the days after 9/11, the country was almost 100% united in righteous fury at the terrorists responsible for the horrific attack that killed thousands of their fellow Americans. But one malevolent and extreme lunatic fringe of extremists held a  protest against their own country while the nation mourned.

Only eight years later, one of the speakers from that national embarrassment and abomination would actually work in our White House. Thrown under the bus only after his extremism had been widely exposed, he continued to help further the president’s Marxist agenda by spreading their shared message on MSNBC, to Occupy gatherings, and to various and sundry other left wing groups.

During his “Rebuild the Dream” tour, last Spring, Jones ripped on what he called the “American fantasy” and called for more wealth redistribution, while castigating Obama opponents as “fake patriots” and America-haters.

According to the communist truther, Jones,  the American dream isn’t about working hard, being able to afford  a nice house in a nice suburb and having nice things. Working hard and playing by the rules won’t get you anywhere. That’s killing the American dream:

Not the American dream they talk about on TV. There are two American dreams. One of them I call the ‘American fantasy.’ You know that one? Everyone is going to be rich. Everybody. And we’re all going to be able to ride out to the great white suburbs, get a McMansion, get flat-screened TV to cover up the holes in our lives. That is the American fantasy, which is turning out to be the American nightmare. It is dying out on its own accord – it deserves no defense and it will get no defense. I am glad that is going away. That was not serving anybody.

The new improved American dream, according to Jones,   means being guaranteed a good job, and a nice place to live

The Obama/Jones/Warren version of the American Dream is the one the government allows you to have through its kindly government interventions. They believe that people  left to their own devices trample on the rights of the “have nots” on their way to success. So after working hard and sacrificing their whole lives to have a  successful business, they need to sacrifice even more so the non risk takers can have their American Dream, too.

This is their class warfare, maker vs taker view of the world. They never explain what happens when the takers outnumber the makers, but that  seems like  an American nightmare to me
