Video: Mystery priest appears to pray over crash victim, then vanishes

I posted this amazing story at The Conversation:

Do miracles still happen? Do angels walk among us?

The faithful aren’t “required” to believe in stories of personal revelation, but this incredible KSDK report could convince even the not-so-faithful that every once in awhile God can bust into our lives in a very real way.

A reminder that when it seems like all hope is lost, through the power of prayer, God can still work miracles:

Emergency workers and community members in eastern Missouri are not sure what to make of a mystery priest who showed up at a critical accident scene Sunday morning and whose prayer seemed to change life-threatening events for the positive.

Even odder, the black-garbed priest does not appear in any of the nearly 70 photos of the scene of the accident in which a 19-year-old girl almost died. No one knows the priest and he vanished without a word, said Raymond Reed, fire chief of New London, Mo. “I think it’s a miracle,” Reed said. “I would say whether it was an angel that was sent to us in the form of a priest or a priest that became our angel, I don’t know. Either way, I’m good with it.”

Video: Republican Congressman Takes Some Heat At Maryland Town Hall

Remember all those reports last week about how left wing activists were going to storm town halls and give Republican congress critters a hard time.

Americans United for Change, run by a former Democratic National Committee communications head, plans to send activists to Republican town halls in swing states and even red states to target lawmakers like Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX).

“This is a new approach. The theory in the past has been to be stealth about the effort to confront members at town halls–but sometimes it’s been too stealth, and we haven’t generated enough activity,” Brad Woodhouse, the president of the group, told the Huffington Post on Wednesday. “Since everyone knows that both sides are doing this, we’re going to be public-facing about it.”

Well, if this town hall featured on Greta Van Susteren’s Fox Show, Wednesday night, is any indication, Republicans are indeed being made to feel the heat…

From their fellow REPUBLICANS — for being too weak and jellyfish-spined to stop Obama.

This is great.
