Report: Obama At Occidental looked Forward To A “Social Revolution”…”A Kind Of Socialist Utopia”

Dr. John Drew, an associate of  Obama’s at Occidental College, was interviewed last week by Paul Kengor on The Glen Meakem Show.

Paul Kenger has lately been promoting his new 600 page book,  Dupes, which prominently features Frank Marshall Davis, Obama’s “Communist Mentor”. He spent years researching material from the Comintern Archives on Communist Party USA (CPUSA). Dr. Drew is a former Marxist who got to know Obama briefly at Occidental.

Doug Ross took the time to transcribe most of the podcast because of its importance.

Q: …John, you had told me before, and I’m reading from my book, that “Obama was already an ardent Marxist in the fall of 1980 when I met him. I know it’s incendiary to say this, but although he said in Dreams From My Father that he’d ‘hung out with Marxist professors’, he did not explain in that book or clarify is that he was 100% in total agreement with those professors.

A: Yeah, you’ve got that exactly right. Obama believed, at the time I met him, this was probably around Christmas time in 1980. I’d flown out on Christmas break from Corness, where I was in grad school. And Obama was looking forward to an imminent social revolution, literally a movement where the working classes would overthrow the ruling class and institute a kind of socialist Utopia in the United States. I mean, that’s how extreme his views were his sophomore year of college.

You can read the entire transcript at the above link.

I have no doubt that Obama’s Marxist ideology was not tempered in Chicago,  where he locked arms with Ayers and DohrnRev. Wright, and other Chi-town Communists  like Carl Davidson, and Michael Klonsky. And there’s no reason to believe that his Marxism was tempered after he came to Washington, where he was rated as the most liberal Senator by The National Journal, further to the left than avowed Socialist Bernie Sanders.  And I have no reason to believe it was tempered when he became the President of the United States.

Here, via Mike McDaniel at Pajamas Media, is a brief, but  by no means exhaustive list of his alarming, Marxist behavior as President:

(1) Mr. Obama’s many disturbingly communist propaganda-style posters.

(2) The communist cult of personality built around Mr. Obama from his campaign to the present.

(3) His vow to “spread the wealth around” (income redistribution is a hallmark of socialism/communism) to Joe the Plumber.

(4) His blithely uncaring flaunting of public opinion in living very, very large on the collective dime, with posh parties, command performances, golf excursions, frequent flights for “date nights,” and pricey vacation spots worthy of a member of the Politburo.

(5) The unashamed praise of Mao Zedong, a mass-murderer who made Hitler look like a neophyte, by Obama advisor Anita Dunn.

(6) The appointment of 9-11 truther, black racist, and avowed communist Van Jones as “Green Jobs Czar.” Let us not forget the cooing schoolgirl longing from Obama advisor and slumlord Valerie Jarrett in describing Jones.

(7) Obama’s seizure of the means of production in taking over two-thirds of the domestic auto industry, and his lawless dispossession of the shareholders of those companies to the benefit of corrupt unions.

(8) Obama’s reckless and unnecessary shuttering of countless auto dealers, which threw all of their employees and many in related, supporting industries out of work — done, no doubt, to help “the workers.”

(9) Obama’s constant meddling and thuggish tactics in dealing with the financial and insurance industries, and other business, and Republicans, and Democrats, and doctors, and everyone else who disagrees — or looks like they might be thinking about disagreeing — with his policies.

(10) Mr. Obama’s assertion that “at some point, you’ve made enough money,” and his ceaseless class warfare against the arbitrarily chosen “rich” class of those making $250,000 a year or more.

(11) Mr. Obama’s statement to journalist Bob Woodward that America can “absorb” another massive terrorist attack because 9/11 made us “stronger.” (One of the hallmarks of any socialist/communist government is a great deal of lip service paid to “the people,” but no caring whatsoever about individuals. A second is their willingness to expend the lives of millions of their citizens to achieve their goals.)

(12) HHS Secretary Sibelius’ comment that Americans were in for “reeducation” over their obvious lack of appreciation for ObamaCare (communists have “reeducated” untold millions to death). Let’s not mention the grossly false propaganda her agency has released on that topic — blatantly false, big lie propaganda being another communist hallmark.

Obama is a Marxist Pied Piper and he has a lot of dupes following him.

A chilling excerpt from part 2:

Big Peace: … give us an example from Davis’s columns that gets closer to what President Obama has done since taking office, given that Obama isn’t trying to “rule Russia,” for example.

Kengor: There are a lot of them, from Davis preaching government healthcare, wealth redistribution, bashing Wall Street, advocating all kinds of nationalizations, trumpeting the public sector over the private sector, lambasting profits, excoriating the “tentacles of big business,” you name it. But one that haunts me is a piece I read by Frank Marshall Davis from January 26, 1950, titled “Free Enterprise or Socialism?”

There, Davis targeted GM. Davis was enraged that General Motors, this “gigantic company,” had “made a profit last year of $600,000,000.” He felt that the federal government needed to get a hold of GM. He characterized GM as a “monopoly,” mainly because of this success, which infuriated Davis. He wrote: “the time draws nearer when we will have to decide to oust the monopolies and restore a competing system of free enterprise, or let the government own and operate our major industries.”

Davis concluded the piece by asserting, “Before too long, our nation will have to decide whether we shall have free enterprise or socialism.”

A new report at Big Government shows Obama’s involvement with Democrat Socialists of America in Chicago.

Newsletters published by the Chicago chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America show President Barack Obama actively participated in a 1996 rally co-sponsored by the group and held at The University of Chicago during his first campaign for the Illinois state Senate

Obama’s involvement in the 1996 rally does not surprise noted author Paul Kengor, who details many of Barack Obama’s socialist connections in his book “Dupes.”
“This is not a surprise at all, especially given Obama’s association with people from this group, in the Chicago chapter specifically, like Dr. Quentin Young,” Kengor said.

Young played a role in the violence at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago and testified before the Democratic-controlled House Committee on Internal Security in Oct. 1968 about his connections with the radical Students for a Democratic Society.

“Quentin Young, not coincidentally, is a major Obama supporter who has been calling for national healthcare for decades. He was there in that living room of Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn in 1995 when Alice Palmer introduced a young Obama as her chosen successor. Obama knew this crowd very well,” Kengor said.

Nice: Debate Audience Gets Up And Says The Pledge Against Wishes Of Lib Moderator

You are going to love this. Prior to the debate between IL Rep. Melissa Bean and conservative Joe Walsh, the audience spontaneously got up and recited the pledge before the moderator could stop them.

Gateway Pundit reports that the debate moderator, Kathy Tate-Bradish, a member of the League of Women voters, and a former OFA member, later chastised the the audience for their “fake patriotism”. He also posts a great comment from AF vet, Joe Ptak, the man who stood up and requested that the pledge be recited.

Bradish apparently warned the audience after the the pledge, that she would not be “disrespected” like that again. Rebel Pundit was on the scene to interview her about that.

BREAKING VIDEO – Rebel Pundit Confronts Moderator Over Pledge Of Allegiance Flap

…Because there’s nothing more disrespectful to  than reciting the pledge of allegiance before a public political event.

UPDATE:

Musing Minds has an eye witness report, here.

Apparently, Bradish also accused the audience of planning the pledge incident in advance, but, according to MM  it happened completely spontaneously.

Cyber Attack Strikes Freedomworks As It Launches Fund-Raising Drive

Coincidence? I think not.

The WSJ reports:

A mysterious cyber attack apparently struck the computer servers at the pro-tea party group FreedomWorks this morning, just as it launched a major fund-raising drive.

FreedomWorks officials are investigating, but they suspect they were attacked deliberately, perhaps by a political opponent seeking the thwart its fund-raising efforts.

The attack crippled the site at about 9:45 a.m. just when the fund-raising drive was publicized on the radio by conservative talk show host Glenn Beck. The group estimates it lost about $80,000 in potential donations as it struggled to bring its site back online.

An “autopsy” showed a highly sophisticated hacker struck at 6:55 a.m., the group said, setting the stage for the eventual meltdown. The server was wiped out, though group officials said no data was lost or stolen.

“We think the idea was to take our site down until after the election,” said Kara Pally, web developer for FreedomWorks. “This was politically motivated.”

Why Freedomworks?

Well, our “post partisan” President did target the tea party group by name in his interview with the Rolling Stone, last month:

Obama, a politician propped up by well-funded corporate and special interests, had the gall to say that the Tea Party movement is controlled by “some very traditional, very powerful, special-interest lobbies. I don’t think this is a secret. Dick Armey and FreedomWorks, which was one of the first organizational mechanisms to bring Tea Party folks together, are financed by very conservative industries…”

Freedomworks is already having to move its office to a more secure location in the Capitol because of the barrage of threatening phone calls it’s been receiving..

One of Washington’s principal supporters of the Tea Party movement, former GOP Majority Leader Dick Armey’s FreedomWorks, has been receiving death threats and profanity-laced phone calls as it gets involved in the fall elections. The number and intensity have reached such heights that the organization is leaving its downtown location near the FBI and moving to a high-security building near the U.S. Capitol.

“FreedomWorks and Dick Armey receive dozens of threatening and harassing calls and E-mails each day. Many imply violence and use of weapons,” spokesman Adam Brandon tells Whispers. “As we get closer to the election we expect the harassment to increase.”

He says that FreedomWorks will hire additional security, meaning less money for its election-eve, get-out-the-vote, or GOTV, campaign. “Unfortunately, we may have to use resources for security guards that we would rather use for GOTV,” he said.

This is exactly why the Chamber of Commerce refuses to release the names of its donors. No one should have to put up with the intimidation tactics of  Obama’s minions.

Video: Keith Ellison Weighs In On Juan Williams Firing On MSNBC’s Ed Show

Ellison says he wants to throw away everything Juan ever produced into the garbage.

The 20 percenters act as if their bizarre musings represent mainstream thinking in America. In this case, since even many liberals are aghast at what NPR did, Ellison and unctuous Ed represent, what? 10-15% If that?  Yet, these two  pretend to know what constitutes “unAmericanism”.

Keep talking, you fools:

Were they purposefully taking Juan’s words out of context, or are they just stupid? I report, you decide.
