But here’s Harry Reid choosing a rather inauspicious moment to admit that single-payer total State control was the objective all along, as reported by the Las Vegas Sun:
Reid said he thinks the country has to “work our way past” insurance-based health care during a Friday night appearance on Vegas PBS’ program “Nevada Week in Review.”
“What we’ve done with Obamacare is have a step in the right direction, but we’re far from having something that’s going to work forever,” Reid said.
When then asked by panelist Steve Sebelius whether he meant ultimately the country would have to have a health care system that abandoned insurance as the means of accessing it, Reid said: “Yes, yes. Absolutely, yes.”

The Democrats might have wanted Obamacare to fail eventually so they could proceed with their single-payer system. But, I do not believe the Democrats specifically designed Obamacare to fail as quickly as it appears is likely. The Democrats simply don’t have the skill to create such a masterful failure. One thing we all know is that they are going to try to blame Republicans for their complete incompetence.
I learned something today that is truly frightening me. The Federal government is actually telling private doctors they must join “a community of health centers” (e.g., one of many such groups belonging to the National Association of Community Health Centers–an Association which supported Obamacare since Day 1) OR the government will see that other doctors in their specialist area will be sent to their community. The threat also included that these doctors would be on the list of acceptable doctors for Medicare, Tri-Care, Medicaid patients and whereas the doctors who did not join the “community of health centers” would not be on that list. This “blackmailing” of doctors began about two years ago. We cannot trust Progressives. They want to be in total control of every aspect of our lives. They are working at all levels and all communities to accomplish this.
